There were a set number of pictures we could choose from those 90, and then an additional fee for other ones we wanted, but the best part is that she signed a release for us to own the negatives and mailed us the photos on a disc, so now we can print them for $0.11 each at Walgreens! She was friendly and professional, and the pictures look good. She did send us an extra disc with the ones we had selected with some photoshopping, but it was mainly color effects, like sepia and black and white, rather than cleaning up tan lines or stray hairs, which would have been nice. Still, an awesome deal and she's done lots of kinds of photos, from maternity to kids to author photos, etc.

Since the wedding was quickly approaching, we didn't get a chance to meet Brittany until the morning of our day. She seemed very friendly over email - but what if we didn't click? Would she understand what we wanted? I was nervous. The very moment Brittany and Esther (hand-selected by Brittany to be our second photographer) walked in, my fears were immediately put to rest. They were vibrant, happy and oh so warm and friendly! They went to work straight away, and without even asking... they somehow knew every shot I wanted as if they were reading my mind. I gave Brittany and Esther the hardest task of all: Try and coral all our wedding guests (about 90 people) after our ceremony for a group photo. This would be intimidating to anyone. My young nephews were losing steam QUICKLY and our guests were itching for the refreshing cocktails located just steps away. But somehow this impossible task was completed in only 10-15 minutes - and Brittany and Esther did everything under the sun to make sure everyone (especially my nephews) were laughing and smiling the whole time. We couldn't have been happier, and towards the end of the night Brittany and Esther felt like family. I would NOT recommend Impact Images to family or friends! We signed a contract with Impact Images…read morefor our wedding photography and wedding video back in August 2016. In both contracts it clearly states that all wedding pictures & videos would be delivered within 3 weeks after the wedding. We received our full wedding album & only the short wedding video 4 1/2 months later. Our video contract clearly stated that a full wedding video & a short film were included. We were told that the full wedding video was still being worked on, guaranteed us that all the wedding footage was saved, and that within a week we'd get the complete video. March 2017, 3 months after we were promised the delivery of the completed video, we were we are told that entire footage had been lost and will get a refund for the video cost. It is incredibly aggravating, sad, and disappointing we got the run around for months, and at the end, have no full wedding video. A wedding is such a beautiful and life changing event you'd want a video for. We're extremely disappointed in the lack of communication and lack of professionalism the videographer and Impact Images had throughout these last few months. We will no longer work with Impact Images.

She was very quick to respond in her emails and seemed very friendly, with a great sense of humor. I was really looking forward to meeting Kara at her Geneva studio, at a time of her choosing. Well, Kara was late. She explained why, but seemed frazzled and very unapologetic. She was dressed unprofessionally. Is that a deal-breaker (30 Rock, anyone)? No, but first impressions mean a lot. She was very brusque and I really felt like my fiance and I were inconveniencing her by having the meeting. When I attempted to ask questions, she laughed and glanced down at the list I had with me, saying, "What else am I supposed to answer? I love these lists of questions." Ummm, okay. At that point I knew that there was no way I'd ever hire her. I really felt like Kara could have cared less whether we booked her or not--like our business mattered nothing to her. Her pricing isn't outrageous, but it's no bargain, either.
