Very clean and friendly staff- can't take that away from them. But they are not very up front about…read morea couple things: 1) Pricing. They charge "per day." But really they mean "per date." My definition of a day is 24 hours. I dropped my two Great Danes off at 5 PM and picked up less than 24 hours later. I was charged $150. I asked if it was ever possible to be charged for a single day at all- they responded that only for "Doggie Day Care" is it possible for a dog to secure a one-day price. So, hypothetically speaking, if you dropped your dog off at 11:59 PM and picked up at 12:01 AM, they would call that "2 days." Called two other kennels before writing this review to make sure that wasn't industry standard. They said it was ridiculous. 2) I asked if they provided bedding, and they said they did. They knew I was boarding 2 Great Danes together in one kennel. They provided one raised bed for a medium sized dog. Would've been simple for me to provide my own had they just told me that. 3) They are open for two 2-hour windows per day, so plan carefully for pickup and drop off. I'm hoping that means "open-to-public" and they attend to the dogs more frequently then that, but I wouldn't put any bets down. Also, they told me a cash price over the phone that was not offered to me in person when I picked up. Not that I had the right amount on me anyway. I assumed, like a normal person would assume, that less than 24 hours fell in the "one day" pricing range. It's a shame. This kennel is near my house and I was looking forward to using them in the future. Nope.

These groomers are great, they really are! I had been taking my dog to another local groomer but…read morecustomer service was terrible. Dawg Tales takes customer service to a whole new level by providing great customer service. Another thing I noticed immediately was how calm my dog was when I picked him up. At our previous groomer my dog would be shaking so much from nerves that if he shook any harder he would have shaken his skin & fur off his body; poor thing. With Dawg Tales my furry friend comes home "Happy!" The amazing customer service combined with the fact my dog is actually happy when I get him is a true sign that these groomers take special care and treatment of my furry little friend while in their care. I definitely will be back.

Quite a long time for what I had asked for, but I was happy that she was clean. I had called Pet Smart to see what their costs were for a clean and dry and they said $38 or so dollars including a nail clipping and brush. I would expect a mom and pop type place like this to be either cheaper than chain stores or at least match the effort that they put to the dogs for the price. Dawg Tales charged almost $60 and my dog still has long nails and lots of loose fur, even though when I arrived to pick her up she was still being brushed. She is also still wet behind and around her ears. They were sweet, complimented my dog and nicely washed her coat and collar from the mud, which I appreciate. But just a bit overpriced for my taste.
