Unfortunately, she left the salon she was in and moved so I found myself once again searching for a salon. I made an appointment for Lakewood Ranch Hair Salon for Friday (today) at 10:30am. I advised I have short hair and wanted a short haircut and style. I did not even ask how much since I needed my haircut for an event in Naples on Saturday. I arrived 10 minutes before my appointment and I was told my stylist would be right out. My stylist came out and immediately apologized and said she would not be able to cut my hair because she is not good at pixie cuts and does not feel comfortable. She quickly told me another stylist could cut my hair on Saturday. That was not going to work as Saturday I had the event in Naples in the afternoon and in the morning I had another appointment. I don't understand why she or the receptionist could not have called me earlier to advise me of this. I could have scheduled someone else or gone to another salon. This is the most unprofessional way to handle a business. My appointment specifically stated short haircut and style. Did she not read the notes. Needless to say I will not be going back to that salon. Fortunately I found a salon in Naples that will get my haircut before the event.

Had I been told otherwise, I would not have taken time off work, driven a significant distance, or rearranged my schedule. I felt misled. I was very clear that I wanted a blended blonde balayage with blonde throughout, including brighter face-framing pieces in the front, while keeping my natural darker root. I also requested baby lights throughout to match the inspiration photos. The results looked nothing like what I asked for. There is still a visible line/band and the color is not properly blended. The blonde I've had for years is gone, leaving my hair orange/caramel fading into light brown instead of blonde. I've been blonde for about 20 years and know this look is achievable, as my regular stylist has done it successfully for years. I also grew my hair out for over a year to keep it healthy and restore my natural dark roots, and that progress cannot be undone. I took before and after photos and have documentation. When I contacted the salon afterward, the front desk manager was dismissive, told me I was "wrong," and showed no concern for how unhappy I was. I was offered toning, but I do not feel comfortable allowing further chemical services due to the risk of damage, and I should not be expected to return after receiving results that were not what I requested. I will not be returning, and I'm sharing this so others can make an informed decision THEY WILL NOT GIVE A REFUND!!!!

Leaving a credit card on file at a hair salon presents risks regarding data security, potential unauthorized or erroneous charges, and, in some cases, inflexible cancellation fees. While salons use cards to protect against no-shows, storing your information increases vulnerability to data breaches, unauthorized staff access, or disputes over service quality.
