He answered all my questions and was personable enough that I felt I could trust him for a procedure that required skill & precision. This process involved drilling into the upper jaw ~ there is risk involved! My regular dentist requested that Dr. Rutner use a scan-able implant head; he complied, so when it was time to prepare for the permanent crown, instead of using the old school moulds, my dentist just scanned all the teeth in my mouth with a hand held device and sent it electronically to the lab who made the crown! It saved time and was much better than having one of those awful moulds used for impressions! The end result is a natural looking tooth, so I feel the quality and care was spot-on! In the end, the time frame he gave me was accurate. That is why I don't understand the poor reviews here; my experience with Dr. Rutner's office staff, technicians was excellent. The waiting room times were excellent. The longest wait time for one of my 4 appointments was 15 minutes. There was no problem with the billing. Everything was spelled out in advance, so again, I don't understand why others cited problems. I would definitely return to Dr. Rutner in the future if the need ever arises.

They convinced me I needed repetitive and uncovered xrays, and then told me I need surgery. I left and Rutner and his office staff HARASSED me, calling me repeatedly saying the "issue" (which was actually a botched root canal) was life threatening and needed to come out ASAP. Luckily I got a second opinion from an honest oral surgeon who sent me to someone who fixed the root canal and I never had a problem again...until I got the bill. I would avoid at all costs.

I was nervous taking him there after reading some of the reviews on Yelp. That being said, I couldn't be happier with the office. I'm going to assume that they may have changed office staff because I found them to be pleasant, helpful and accomodating. Same thing for the nurses/assistants who helped us out. Dr. Gold came in and looked at my son's scans and while he did speak to me on what he saw, he also took the time to sit and speak directly to my son to let him know what to expect. I freaked out when he told me that he was going to take all 7 at once. The day of the procedure, I freaked again when I found out I wouldn't be able to be in the room during the procedure. However, when Dr. Gold came in, he immediately put my fears to rest when he assured me he would talk my son through the whole thing and keep him informed of everything he was doing. 20 mins later, I was back in the room and my son was doing great. My son told me that Dr. Gold kept talking to him through out the whole thing and made jokes. Dr. Gold even called the next day to see how my son was doing and to make sure all was good! They both analyzed my records and symptoms and suggested I wait until making a decision on whether any invasive procedure is necessary. They provided treatment to ease my symptoms and discomfort in the meantime. I've been to a chop shop dentist office before that is just looking to make money instead of actually treating the patient. I would highly recommend this office if you want an ethically sound opinion on your medical condition, whether it's tension headaches, gum or tooth pain, tooth extraction, or jaw pain.

I'm not generous with Yelp stars and rarely give five, but if it were possible to give a sixth, Dr. G. has certainly earned it. If you're looking for a dentist, definitely come see him, you won't regret it. And to be honest, he's probably better than your current dentist, so come see him even if you think your dentist is great!
