I reached out to try to make an appointment to talk to him about the situation & he ignored me & had his assistants tell me I was no longer welcome in his practice. His EGO is bigger than his skill. I just had major surgery to have stage 4 endometriosis removed from multiple organs. I even had my appendix removed during the extensive abdominal surgery. She seemed uninterested in my post-operative report. My insurance company dropped me two days before the surgery and she yelled at me to stop crying and told me to get insurance. I did, & then her office was very rude to me over the phone & they didn't even call to confirm my appointment beforehand. I have over 20 years of medical trauma from being misdiagnosed with depression and anxiety when in reality I have had one of the most painful conditions. Dr. Weisbein's demeanor completely changed when her next patient (an older male) walked in and she quickly changed her tone and said, "hello my love!" to him. Bottom line- ladies!!! Don't go to this woman. She's mean. *I almost forgot to mention, when I told her I was in a car accident, she said it was against her policy to talk about more than one injury at a time. *Go to Dr. Eric Grigsby or Dr Melanie Johansson if you need real help and you are a woman. His staff member ( I was told there are 2) was so condescending, unprofessional, and nasty to both of us that I decided (with my primary care doctor's blessing), to go to Golden State Ortho in Walnut Creek, which offers a very professional and friendly environment, staff, and physicians. I have been a clinical nurse specialist for a long time and have only been treated like this once before within the same practice/ Napa Valley Ortho/ back in 2019. I was going to give Huffman a try since he is a different type of specialist than the one I saw in 2019. However, even though Walnut Creek is more inconvenient than Napa, I'm very happy with Golden State Ortho. Until doctors start being responsible for their office staff's approach to patients, the patients will be unhappy with the doctor before they even meet her/him, the disrespectful and unprofessional tone being set by the staff. hope Dr Huffman sees this review.

Spine and brain surgeons are a special class of medical professional...a cut above....but you would never know that during your visit at Dr. Huffman's office due to the lack of pretension of Dr. Huffman. I sought out to find a great Dr. and through reading reviews on yelp, my insurance and health grades I found Dr. Shifflett. He was just what I was looking for. He came in and took his time. He looked me in the eye and showed concern and empathy. Hey conveyed confidence, but humility. I truly appreciated his care. I went in he did the injection and three years later my shoulder is still pain free. I really like this place they are all kind and helpful.
