We have had braces for our 14 year old put in at Nixon Orthodontix. Despite this service not being a 'pleasant' experience typically, we have had an amazing experience with this team. The team was professional, courteous, explained every step of the way what is happening and we had received a detailed and wonderful tutorial as to how the braces are to be cared for. We had an issue (due to eating hard food) with the braces post installation and the team was able to promptly see us and address is. All in, an excellent experience! read more

My wife, my oldest daughter and I have all received braces from Dr. Noxon. As a business owner in my late 40's I was thrilled with the team's punctuality, professionalism and overall great demeanor. The only downside was my teenage daughter would not allow me to tell her friends she and I were both going to the same orthodontist. At least it gave the staff something to rib me about! It took me a few years gain the courage to stop feeling self conscience about my teeth and make the decision to get them corrected. I am thrilled with the experience and the results. When my oldest son was of age to get braces, we visited a fewer orthodontic offices in Needham/Newton for initial consultation but none seemed like a right fit for different reasons. But after we met with Dr. Noxon, we knew he's one. He was confident of what needs for my kid and straight forward with his estimate and none of that "pay a non-refundable deposit and we'll give you an estimate" non-sense. My son is very excited to have his braces off in about 5 more months and my younger son will get his too soon at this practice. Because of the great experience that I've received, I recommended this place to a several friends as well when their kids were ready to receive orthodontic work. read more

Orthodontist's offices have to remember that each client-not really the child, but the parents, should be treated REALLY NICE for the $5,000-$6,000 you'll be spending with them over the course (of usually) not more that 2 years. Dr. Noxon is a nice guy, but after speaking directly with him about his office staff and how nasty they are and continue to be, we have decided to leave the practice in the midst of my son's treatment. We have already had one child treated by Dr. Noxon and his original partner. We are almost $9,000 into a relationship with the office, so you can imagine how upset we must be to leave at this time. They have to remember, there are lots of orthodontists out there. Customer service from the office staff is just as important as tightening bands every 6 weeks-something which usually gets done by techs, not Dr. Noxon anyway. Buyer beware! read more
