the best dentist i have been to in my life. I don't know how he did it, but Dr. Vanyo gave me several shots that DID NOT HURT!! that has never happened in my life. He asked questions and answered everything patiently. My impression is that he loves his job, is very, very good at it, and wants patients to have a good experience. The cherry on top is that the prices are more than reasonable. Highly recommend coming here. read more

Very punctual but extremely terrible humans! I made a mistake and admitted that I did not inform them of a change in my insurance, and despite showing up in person for the appointment, they wouldn't make an exception (robots!!) and charged $30! Find someone else if you want someone who is a human. read more

I wish I could give this dental office more than 5 stars! After moving to the area the last doctor on my list was a dentist. While getting ready for another appointment, I accidentally flossed a filling out of my mouth and freaked out. I called Dr. Vanyo's office and I must have sounded like a lunatic but the staff was so incredibly kind and accommodating that I instantly felt relief! They got me on the schedule that day. I went back for a cleaning and then to get the permanent filling completed and they are just next level human beings. They are so gentle and sweet that for a second you forget you are getting your mouth drilled. The entire staff is incredible and I am so happy to have found them! read more

Wow! I had a tooth bothering me, I walked in to see if they could work me in for an exam. They did. Dr. Vanyo took the time to explain what was going on and what he recommended as a fix. Later that same day, I was able to get the old filling with some new decay removed and a new filling in place. The process/procedure was painless. I barely felt the needle for the numbing meds. The entire staff were fantastic. I can see why they have so many 5 star reviews. I'm happy to add my 5 star review and would gladly recommend this business. Years back when my husband and I moved to Burlington, North Carolina from Florida, we knew no one, dentist, doctor or otherwise so when my husband broke a tooth, he got on the internet and searched. Of course he searched local first, all in and around Burlington. Everyone he called said they could see him in a week or more. He broke his tooth, he needed it checked out now. Just by luck, he called Dr. Vanyo's office and their reply was "How soon can you get here?". Wonderful news and better yet, the servi., extractions, partials, crowns, cavities, yeah, we have been there. The drive from Burlington to Durham is not a short one but if you want spectacular service and care, friendly caring people, check them out! Dr Vanyo is wonderful, his staff is wonderful, he is gentle and knowledgeable. He'll explain everything in a way anyone can understand. "After visiting one dentist in Durham and being dissatisfied, I got the name of Dr. Stephen Vanyo from an orthodontic practice which often works with him. I'd already paid for a comprehensive exam from the first dentist and wondered if the next one could use it so I wouldn't have to pay again as it was less than ten days old. When I spoke with Lauren and explained that I'm on a fixed income and unhappy about having to pay twice, she immediately grasped the situation and said that Dr. Vanyo was offering a new patient special, which would end up costing me less than the first one wanted, even with the cost of the first exam figured it. What a terrific example of problem-solving and listening to a patient's concerns! The office is quiet and orderly. I was seen promptly on time, and everyone took the time to explain each step of the process. They were cheerful, energetic, and good-natured throughout. I got the services I'd expected, and in fact more information than I expected. One of my teeth had to be X-rayed again as it's far out of alignment and has become a recent concern. I was not charged for the additional service, and I appreciated Dr. Vanyo's taking another picture to be very sure of the best course of treatment, that day and going forward. I've been here around six to eight times to have my teeth cleaned. Each time was a different person, but everyone has been so friendly and accommodating. Dr Vanyo genuinely feels like he cares about your well being. So much so that he gave me his cell phone number in case I had a dental emergency after hours. Who does this? He doesn't really know me other than a handful of 5 minute conversations. Anyways, I'm lucky that I haven't had any dental problems so I can't say how it would go if I had to have something major done. But when the most memorable part of going to the dentist is that everyone is so kind, I can't imagine going somewhere else. read more
