Love their chocolate melt-a ways that have a smooth delicious coating of either milk or dark chocolate which covers a soft delicious chocolate center. Everything we've ever bought from here has been a winner. While we did try a turtle sample we weren't fond of and didn't purchase because we felt the nuts were too small, all the chocolates sold here are of finer quality and absolutely wonderful. We just bought some chocolate covered salted caramels, peanut butter supremes and some milk chocolate almond clusters today and all of them are worth every penny we paid for them it's honestly hard to even believe they're this good. Had a hour to kill before flying out of the Evansville airport and thought I'd find some sweets to take home for my coworkers. Yelped up local confectioners and Stephen Libs came out highly rated. There was plenty of parking and the shop was nice, clean and had options for all. There were chocolate covered fruits, nuts, turtles, caramels and licorice etc. We tried samples of their milk chocolate peanuts and chocolate covered grapes. Pretty good, I never would thought of dipping grapes in chocolate but I didn't dislike them. I don't know I just wasn't blown out of the water. I wanted to be! I really did. The ladies behind the counter were very personable and were generous with tips and free samples. I guess coming from Cali and having See's candies to compare it to I just wasn't easily impressed. The items were definitely on the pricey side. I was hoping for more individual choices and the ability to mix and match. In the end I ended up spending 7 dollars for a box of 7 turtles. The shop is really beautiful. There were even sugar free options which aren't easy to find. I'm sorry Stephen Libs,you were good but not great. I just didn't get the butterflies. This is hands down one of my favourite places. I used to live in Evansville as a kid and now am willing to drive 2 hours one way *just* to come here. That's how good this place is. The smell, the atmosphere, the people, and the chocolates, it's all heavenly. My personal favorites are the assorted creams. But everything just melts in your mouth, and the flavours are fantastic. Even if you dont like chocolate, theres fruity candy and nuts and something for everyone. If I had to name one place that someone *must* visit before leaving Evansville, I will immediately say Libs. I'm so so glad that a childhood favorite of mine has stuck around and given me a memory to share with my kids, as well as a fabulous product. read more

Had a coworker recommend Stephen Libs to me so I stopped by and purchased a few things. The customer service was impressive, they were really caring and pointed out the popular selections as well as a significant amount of sugar free options. My only suggestion would be to advertise the store more on the road side, not knowing about it through word of mouth I would have never seeked it. This location is much nicer than the other "Libs" location in town. The pricing could go down a dollar and I wouldn't mind, things can get quiet expensive here.
