My mother hired Attorney Sztaba for a probate case to get her deceased husband's money quicker. We haven't heard anything from him for months. While letters are coming in from Probate and I am still running to Probate and ask ing questions myself. He charged my mom over $1000.00 to submit some paperwork. I called to ask when she will be getting. Her inheritance and his response was we were gonna call you tomorrow. I asked what his fees were and he said he charges $450.00 an hour. I thought that was too much for some paperwork to be filed and never to called and notified about the case. I think he took advantage of an old lady who doesn't speak good English. The Paralegal picked me up at my doorstep, drove me to the office on the date of filing even stopping at the bank for me to get some information that i needed. . To anyone who's looking at this please stay away from this law firm!!! These people are extremely unprofessional and will only waste your time and money! We have been their clients for years my whole family knew them for decades. To be treated the way they have treated us recently is disappointing and heartless! To begin with we went to them with a simple case that was supposed to take few months; went there in March of 2021 we had given them all the papers and information necessary and we thought the process of filing will proceed as stated but nothing. We kept going back and forth for 7 long months. The lawyers wife Karen is the secretary at the law firm she handles all the paper work etc. She kept asking us to resend the same information time after time. Given that I'm a patient person, I did what was asked of me but as I sent everything she asked for, I wouldn't hear from her for weeks to a month. Again she would email me and ask for the same information so I would send it again and once again no reply for weeks to a month. Recently the same thing occurred I asked Karen what's going on and why we have to keep sending the same thing over and over when the information requested from us has been sent to the office multiple times in the 7 months time. Still no reply from her and then her husband Stephan called me and falsely accused me of being a "difficult client" and us not sending any information to them when they request it. I was shaking when he said that because that's far from the truth I told him listen for the past 7 months I have been sending your wife everything she requested time after time he wouldn't even listen to me and told me to come few days later telling me he's dropping us as clients. Who in their right mind does that you have been holding us out for 7 months and falsely accusing me of something I'm NOT! That's inhumane and disrespectful! Maybe you should tell your wife/Secretery to do her job i.e. take notes, print out information when it's sent to her, that's what you're paid for and that's why people hire lawyers. To abandon a case after 7 months because your wife gets butt hurt and is LAZY is extremely unprofessional and I hope one day you're treated the way you treated me and my family! Just because you're a lawyer and have money doesn't mean you can disrespect people that are less fortunate! You know what I have been through last year and what my family is going through and you have NO compassion! You treat others like trash and that's the truth. When I went to get my papers today you didn't even apologize to me; nothing, you're not a human you're a disgrace! I hope people see this review and don't use your law firm!!!
