Watching both of them grow up understanding and speaking Spanish naturally has been one of the greatest gifts of this school. What we love is how the curriculum balances structure with play. The kids play all day, but they're also learning real concepts like colors, numbers, and letters woven into everything they do. They sing, they dance, and they even have Mandarin lessons. There's so much thought put into how the day is organized. The director deserves special recognition. She runs a safe, well-managed facility and stays personally involved with the kids. She knows them, not just their names. The staff also goes above and beyond to make the school feel special. They decorate beautifully and are always putting on themed events for the students, staff, and families. It creates such a warm, joyful community. Unfortunately, our experience in the toddler room was very different. The front entrance door that uses a key code did not always close and lock properly, and the toddler gate leading to the right hallway did not lock securely, which raised safety concerns. A lot of times at pick up that hallway also smelled like a trash bag of poop was stored somewhere. Many toys were kept on high shelves and out of reach, leading children to climb on the shelf in order to access them. During transitions and diaper changes, children were often left without activities, resulting in restlessness and pacing. Cleanup also fell almost entirely on the teachers, as children were not taught or encouraged to help put toys away, which appeared to limit the teachers' ability to support children who were struggling emotionally. Communication was also difficult. At pickup, teachers were understandably busy managing multiple children, but there was little insight into how my daughter's day had gone. Messages sent through the app often had delayed responses. There was also a required supply list that included items such as a water paint kit, colored pencils, a paint apron, and crayons, but these supplies were never used in the classroom. My 2.5-year-old thrives in a structured environment. In this classroom, much of the day was unstructured free play, and she struggled significantly. During her final full week, she spent most of each day sitting and crying. She appeared overwhelmed, isolated, and unable to engage. On three consecutive days, photos shared as "gym activities" showed children sitting against a wall watching the teacher, whereas earlier in her enrollment gym time involved active movement and play. That earlier structure had been far more appropriate for her needs. While the staff were kind, the lack of structure and engagement negatively affected my child's well-being and ultimately led us to seek a different environment. Although another classroom was offered, seeing her cry consistently on the camera and struggle at drop-off made it difficult to continue.

He thinks the outside play area is better, and that the place is bigger and has better toys. The staff is pretty consistent with an acceptable turnover rate. My son has never complained about anything and actually asks if I can let him go to Stepping Stone instead of being an early pick-up on days that I get off work early. I sent him to the 'Y" summer camp this year. They have a lower cost and more activities, such as paintball, daily swim, rock climbing, gaga ball, etc.. Even with all of this, after several weeks my son didn't like it as much since they were outside for almost the entire day and he said he missed his old friends. When I enrolled him back at Stepping Stone he was really excited and is still loving it.

We had previous problems with her getting diaper rashes because she was being kept in poopy diapers for a long time, this was becoming more manageable since she is currently potty training but if you have a young child that will likely be an issue, I changed her diaper myself at the school multiple times at pick up because of the state I found her in. Since our son has been enrolled, we have noticed a huge difference in his vocabulary. He is so talkative and expressive, and I believe that LHP has had a huge influence on that. Our son looks forward to playing with his friends every day. It can be stressful to find a childcare provider that you feel comfortable with and trust leaving your child with, I can say that while our son is at LHP, I know he is cared for and learning! We were given an after-hours, thorough tour of the facilities prior to enrolling, and we were impressed by the meticulous care with which everything is done, from the Montessori/Phonics methods of learning for all children, to the great variety of play/learning stations, the various activities offered, and the seemingly odd conviction (from a business perspective) to choose a smaller number of children receiving exceptional care and education over a larger number of children without this personalized attention. We have seen enormous changes in our daughter's development in less than two months, with much greater independence in play, improved confidence in exploring the world around her under supervision, as well as practical improvements such as sleep and eating, and we can directly attribute every single improvement to the tireless work of Miss Reena. Although there are no "fancy" offerings such as video surveillance and smartphone apps, parents of both infants and toddlers have open lines of communication in realtime via WhatsApp channels, and a daily personalized report during drop-off and pick-up to address any issues/concerns and offer invaluable advice on everything childcare-related. We have seen from other parents that they completely trust LHP with their children for all their formative toddlerhood and preschool years, and although our daughter is not old enough for the complete learning experience yet, we can definitely understand the strong bond parents and babies feel to LHP. Ms. Amaiya has been outstanding with our daughter while she was in Toddler B. Our daughter loves her so much so that now that she has moved on from her class, she will still sometimes refuse to enter the new class unless Ms. Amaiya is there. She has been so great that she'll often at times help take her in the morning until her current teacher is available to get her. We are extremely grateful for her! Currently, our daughter is in Ms. Stephanie's class and she loves and trusts her as well. Ms. Stephanie has been incredible and is always available to give us updates on our daughter's potty training. She encourages her all the time to do things on her own and she's been so crucial for us in helping us potty train our daughter. The front desk of TLE has been amazing as well! Ms. Jessica and her team have done an amazing job and really have given a lot of consistency to the facility that we felt was lacking for a while. Seeing Ms. Jessica's and Ms. Phoenix's faces in the morning always lights up our daughter's face. We are moving away soon and won't be able to send our daughter here. I get a call from daycare stating my child had slapped a teacher at 4:50pm during nap time. On…read morethe way home, I explained to my child we do not hit teachers. That is not a nice thing to do. We keep our hands to yourself. Well then my daughter proceeds to tell me the teacher squeezed me and it hurt my heart. When she tells me this she sounded sad and hurt. I went into panic mode asking what does that mean? Like you couldn't breathe or were you in pain? I said when we get home, demonstrate to me and your dad what happen. Well we get home and ask more questions, she said momma sit down, I sit down and she sits in between my legs. She said momma push your legs together like this. She said squeeze me, that's what the teacher did to me. So I said did it hurt? she said yes my heart. So when I dropped her off I told the director, I need a meeting. She asked is everything ok, I said yes and no. I didn't want to give her too much info because I didn't want to lose camera footage. They are known to lose footage or they can not play it back. We have our meeting the next day. I explained to her what happened and told her I want to see the cameras. She explains they are live streamed and aren't able to play it back. So happen the area manager was there. I said what do you mean you can't play them back and so what is the point of having them? So she takes me to the area manager to explain the process of the cameras. She asked what do I want to see. I said a teacher squeezed my daughter and she asked for the teachers name. We go over what happened. They explain I understand if I was in your shoes I would be a concerned parent too and I don't think that teacher would do that. I know you and your family have been here since ******* was a baby. Our priority is to make sure your child is safe but we also want to advocate for our teachers too. They tried to reassure me but it didn't work. The director writes my statement, stated they would question the teacher and get her statement, then they would turn this into licensing, licensing would then investigate the school and then licensing would reach out to me to question the situation. They said in the mean time we will keep this teacher and your daughter in separate rooms. I'm still upset because my child has been here since she was 6 months old and it was like they didn't care. At that point my child turned into a number. We wrap up the meeting. My daughter wanted to go home with her dad, so we go get her things and as we are walking out, my daughter points to the wall and said that's the teacher that squeezed me. Mind you she is on the wall for teacher of the month. So I told myself submit the situation yourself. So I go on the website for daycare abuse and submitted a report. Well when I submitted it, I didn't get a confirmation email or anything. So I find out licensing came to daycare but no one was telling me anything. So then I go back to state website and call the 800 number. That same day licensing reaches out to me. We are talking and she's asking questions. She says something that triggers that she is going off my report. I said what? I said wait you didn't get a report from daycare, she said no. I receive this from an online report. I said you came on Monday and I asked them if you came. They were acting like they submitted the report like they were helping. They didn't want to report this because they were already under an investigation. At that point before I had talked to licensing something told me to pull my daughter out and I did. I went in to get a document signed and the director says Brie's not here, is she coming tomorrow, I said nope and then she asked is she coming Friday? I said nope and she then say is she coming back at all and I said nope. She said did you tell anyone. I said I was getting to that. I said my daughter will not be back and she then hands me the withdrawal form. I signed the form and left. I wasn't going to keep my daughter here. The trust from this facility was gone after they didn't report to licensing, my daughter would say she hated this school or she was scared to go in. I couldn't do it. She had went through 5-6 teachers alone in preschool. She doesn't even acknowledge the school when we pass it. That should tell you something. She use to say that's my school. Trust me, it hurt to make that decision because she also had friends she grew up with since they were 6 months old but I did not feel safe leaving her there with her comments.

My fellow Yelpers…read more About 2 weeks ago now my wife handed her cell phone to the teacher as I was at work and wanted to tell the new teacher " I appreciate your work and attitude you are giving us" as this is my sons 4th new teacher in 8 months. Apparently that is against the rules and the owner let us know we put the staff in danger. Crazy right? My 2 year Old son was a bit for the 4th time. Yes 4. 1st time - I get it. Kids will be kids. 2nd time - make sense please don't let it happen again. 3rd time - ok let's have a quick in person meeting with the GM. Which we did just to see if there is a way we could help out. 4th time - I wrote an email saying " franchise owner - while giving my son a bath tonight I realize he had a bite mark on him. I don't see a report. " Leena the franchise owner responded with " oh no let's have a meeting. And so we are clear we DO NOT have to give you a report for 48 hours as it didn't break the skin". (not being a human being or mom and saying hey kid was bit all good I'll Get your a report. They just avoided it. That's not loving or mother like if you ask me. But to each their own) Me - " I have already met with your GM so I am not sure what another conversation is going to do but nonetheless let's do a phone call." Leena - " I can't let me know when a good time to talk is" Me - " anytime after 515pm works for me and my fiancé" Leena - then calls me at 11am and 3:45pm the next day. Leena - " hey I have been trying to reach you guys. If this is not an issue please just let me know and I'll stop calling." Me - leena you called before 5:15 we can't answer as we are working" Fiancé - " leena I will be there today at 5:30 to pick the boys up let's chat". Leena - " it's seems we have lost your trust. And we are now canceling your enrollment." - then proceeds to bring up handing the phone off is a violation as she had no other ground to stand on. She used the week and a half old excuse of my fiancé handing the phone to the teacher as a protocol violation...lol stop it. She then tries to explain that's it's for the love of the kids. Riiiiight Taking your frustrations with us out on the kids really exemplifies love. Up rooting friends and memories the built of the last two years is love? All a dad was doing is making his kids re safe and not bitten for a 5th time. So that brings me to this review. This all happened Friday. The weekend of Presidents' Day. So guess what schools are closed Monday how do we coordinate with work and get us a new school in time? Super inconvenient and very impulsive on her part. Should have said we will give you a week at the minimal. You know act like a parent/human being. Now for the honest review: My kids went here for just under two years. we were the 5th kid enrolled here so I have room to talk. They Simply can't handle the growth of the Leander. - Understaffed. - Now extremely Over priced for being so tiny in comparison to others. - waiting lines to drop off are INSANE. Especially on cold days. - Small play ground. like tiny and it ruins the kids shoes as they turn dark black. It's cheaply made but at the time we signed up there we only 10 kids and now at 75+ - dirty facility (ie: a yogurt was on the spilt on the ground when we dropped our boys off. We came back 8 hours later and it was still there just now full of ants) - Constantly closing down with minimal lead time for the parents. Never know what to expect really. Not to mention now all the new teachers have their kids go here and have "different rules" if you will. This wasn't a thing before. You will notice the kids behind the front desk right when you walk in. There is a tiny cubby behind the front desk to the right side just look in there and you will see what I am talking about. Their head teacher Ms. Elizabeth was "promoted" about 8 months ago and the place went to downhill from there. They hired ms Normandy who is under qualified and under staffed. From the missed emails, giving my child face rub with no Medical papers signed. Giving my child milk after saying he can't have milk etc. The owner leena or the GM normandy will comment something witty like "we are doing our best to accommodate" and then never proceed to change anything.. they are trained by the franchise to use catchy phrases like " we care" or " align our souls" " we Strive to be the best" but let me tell you from a person who has been paying 2600 a month for convenience ( literally next to my house) that It's all smoke and mirrors. It's turned into a franchise only trying to gain as much ROI as possible. which I totally get but it devalues the love and care that they preach but don't practice. But man I do have to say this was a blessing in disguise we got our kids set up at new school. GM has a PhD, met the owner IN PERSON first day and they gave us all their personal contact info incase we feel like we need to talk.
