Our 10mo old has been attending Stepping Stone Round Rock for over 3 months now. We truly love and appreciate Ms. Marni and Ms. Ashley in the Lullabies room. They're amazing and true professionals at what they do for our daughter on a daily basis. Our daughter loves going to school to read books, make art, and play with the others in her class! She received a "Curiosity" Award recently, and we love that her teachers embrace all of her curiosity and creativity at just 10 months. Our toddler was not provided support across 3 weeks of coming in as a new child in a toddler class. The teacher Ms. Marissa was deeply disengaged and used to address this 4 year olds classroom As a 10th grade class mostly sitting at one spot. Our child also had no reports provided for any incidents and for three consecutive days the work sent from school was a scribbled boat/heart etc. which talks about a phenomenon of checkbox teaching. Our child otherwise can trace all letters of the alphabet - use scissors - paint and talk fluently. In these three weeks we saw a clear regression. Management is somehow not concerned about this kind of classroom mismanagement - In fact we were told that the teacher is extremely good and provided all praise in the orientation. The motto of play to learn is used more for marketing and less for real learning. If you are looking for purely childcare and your child is happy with the play with no kids pushing them around(which was communicated to us by our child multiple time and we asked for any incidents - zero reports - only response we got was "he was good"), you can go here. If you want proper child education with empathy - last place to go if you have a 4 year old toddler. Our little one who is 1.5 had an amazing time and that classroom was actually doing and effective job so I would conclude by saying that the management and the specific teacher is our primary concern. After we complained to the district head - suddenly our child was promoted to ms.Terry's class and started getting all the things promised in the previous class and the tone of management completely changed. From the moment we left our first born with Yhadira we knew we were in good hands with her gentle and active engagement with the children. Leadership has evolved over the years with the recent principal Taylor Ratcliff being the most attentive and hands-on director we had the opportunity to work with. Our daughter is thriving at Stepping Stone Round Rock/Grimes! She is currently in the Twinkles class with Miss Anna and Miss Na'La. They are both extremely kind and patient with all the children in their class. They are always staying busy either reading stories, completing art projects, playing games, singing and educating the students. You can tell that they both really enjoy their jobs and care for all the children. We recently came to Stepping Stone from another local daycare that we had a bad experience with. We are absolutely blown away with the quality of this campus. Our kids (2 and 6) are beaming with joy telling us how much they love their school when we pick them up at the end of the day, and they can't wait to go every morning. Our daughter told us that she wants to go there forever, even when she's an adult. Ms Taylor, the principal, is so involved and responsive. Our daughter (school age) tells us daily about her involvement in her classroom. The assistant principal is also extremely involved in the classrooms. It is really hard to find management that is so hands on with the children, genuinely cares about their safety and well being, and keeps up with the dynamic in the classrooms. I have not met the teachers yet due to COVID, but our daily reports are thorough and accurate, full of pictures, and our kids really seem to love them! Due to COVID, our previous school would sometimes have a 5-10 car wait at pickup. Or we could be sitting by ourselves waiting for 10 minutes for someone to notice we are outside. That is NOT the case at Stepping Stone. I don't know how they do it, but they are so on it. I don't ever wait at the door more than a few minutes, even if there are 5+ other parents arriving at the exact same time. They also disinfect their shoes upon arrival, have hand sanitizer and alcohol wipes at the door for parents, and follow all necessary precautions. I could go on and on about how much I love their staff and curriculum and it has only been a few weeks. Our son has been attending Stepping Stone School since we went back to work after parental leave. Ms. Taylor (director) has been extremely accommodating and is readily available for any questions that come up. His teachers Ms. Yhadira and Ms. Merari are always very friendly, attentive, and loving toward the infants in their care. Our son always seems happy when we drop him off and when we pick him up, plus we get several updates throughout the day. We are so thankful for their excellent care of our baby boy! read more

The only reason I'm not giving the school 5 stars is because I'm a believer that we always have room to grow. With that said; the school has been a blessing for my son. His teacher, Mrs. Marissa is patient, understanding, caring and loving. My son adores her and I appreciate her teaching style cause it is helping develop my son's behaviors and intellect. The staff is also great and always ready to listen no matter how small of an inquiry at the time. Mrs. Vicki was a great principal and Ms. Taylor is transitioning nicely while keeping the safety/care of the kids the key focus at Steeping Stone. My son loves Ms. Taylor by the way as well. My boys have attended this school for the past 2 years and we LOVE the teachers and Principal. They are always kind and patient, provide fun activities and enrichment, and are open to hearing concerns. My youngest had the pleasure of having Ms. Terry in Pre-K and I felt comfortable leaving him there knowing he would be loved and care for each day. Now that my boys are in after-school care, they have tons of fun with Mr. Israel, who goes above and beyond for these kids- even buying toys out of his own pocket for them! My daughter has been here for about a year now and absolutely loves going to school everyday! She literally runs from the car to the door each morning to hug Ms. Terry. She has learned so much in the last year too, including all her letters, sight words, and can add small numbers already too (at age 4), Not just curriculum but she also learned kindness and compassion . One of the things I love most of this school is the personal touch Ms. Terry on a daily basis. I receive text messages and pictures when something special is going on. Knowing that my daughter is in their great hands while I'm away at work gives me such peace of mind The director, Taylor, has been just a blessing getting to know. She is very compassionate and understanding, and we're always so happy to see her when we pick up our little lady. The young lady at the front desk is always extremely welcoming and vibrant, too. Everyone is full of smiles! Elizabeth is the amazing teacher too , she does an astounding job running the show and making sure all of the kids get plenty of attention and love. This place is crap after the Director Becky left I guess. I'm not sure where she went but some new lady came in and just is rude. The last incident I had with them before my husband told me he saw a toddler being pulled by his arm. My husband told me his concerns and I brought it to another teacher, who told me that there has been complaints in the past for the teacher that did it. The teacher who pulled the boy is in the class after the infants and before the toddler class. She's skinny with glasses and what gets me is she's doing this to kids that can't talk. Can't tell their parents what happened. But besides the point. I told one of his other teachers I don't want my son around her when his original teacher who is awesome (with pink hair) leaves and puts him in her class. I rather him ride the buggys they have for an hour then to be with that lady. So what really pushed me over the edge and is when I told my husband I don't care, I rather leave is when we received an incident report of 1 bite mark on my son. They used that bullshit "TLC, ice " yadda yadda yadda, well if they actually looked at my son's bite where they said they looked at it they would have seen that he had one right next to it as well as a bite mark on his thighs and scratches on him (Which I've took pictures of!). Like these were deep marks So you're going to say you didn't hear my son crying? So you missed him crying on the first bite......the second bite.....and then the third is when you tend to my child? Yeah ok. Please don't go to this school. Who knows what really goes on behind doors when the parents aren't around. Do research and listen to reviews. Would have saved us plenty of time and pain for my son. There's better care else where. Save your time, money and make sure your child is safe. read more

We love this location! Our son has had such an amazing experience here! He started here when he was 18 months old and is now 4 1/2. He has, in that time period, had teachers who are involved, imaginative, differentiating for his personality and needs, and caring. He can't wait to go to school in the morning. They send us Tadpoles during the day to see what he's up to. Just this week he will do yoga, make his own playdoh, speak Spanish, and participate in Kung fu. All of these skills are done while still accomplishing the standards by which Stepping Stone is guided. The principal is extremely helpful as well. She will do whatever she can to make sure any questions you may have get answered. I highly recommend this location! Everyone is caring and wonderful. My son has been at this Stepping Stone since he was 8 months old. He is just about to turn 5. This school has worked with me and my particular (not normal) situation and they have done so with a smile on their faces. The only negative thing I can say is that they USED to have a lot of turnover. That seems to have stopped in recent years. The teachers have been consistent and eager to work with me and my little one. I am actually a little sad that my son will be going to Kindergarten soon. My first time picking up my nephew, I noticed not a single staff member approached me to as who I was or who I was there to pick up. I almost made it to the door with my nephew in tow before anyone said a word to me. I guess that would be great timing to take notice of a new face in a facility full of children. I also noticed the same person I saw on my way in I saw on my way out. Just so happen to be the director. She wasn't exactly ready for a meet n greet until I'm halfway out of the door and she's giving me the strangest look. It seemed to me she didn't really want to be bothered. read more

I was sooo scared to put my child in daycare. After speaking with the director Taylor a few times i felt comfortable and enrolled my child. My daughter absolutely LOVES her teacher(s) and friends. She is always so excited to go to daycare. I am so happy that we decided to finally get her in daycare to be around other classmates her age. I know i can be an overbearing or paranoid parent but any concerns or questions i have had and have get addresses right away. I can tell my daughters developmental growth has truly hit a growth spurt since she has started at stepping stone. All the staff have been super friendly, and caring. I would definitely recommend this location to anyone. Not to say the other locations arent just as awesome but i know from first hand experience about this school. And i know ive had some unexpected things come up and Mrs.Taylor and the staff were able to help me out. Thats a plus in my book. Ms Amy, the director is pretty rude. If you go to her w an issue she has an attitude w no real concern. My son told me he didn't get lunch one day recently and I spoke w the teacher Ms Sara whom was in charge and Ms Amy. Sara said she gave him a plate of food and has the kids take at least two bites of their food and if they chose not to them that's on them which I understand. Then she followed that w saying but she can't watch them all take two bites. Like I'm an idiot. Then when I brought my kid to Amy to tell her to her face he didn't get a plate of food, she looks at him and with an attitude she says "you didn't get a plate of food? Ok, I don't believe you". I asked her if she was there when it happened and she said no but she knows Sara wouldn't leave a kid out. I love the programs here and some of the staff but I'm not a fan of them all. Upfront, I'm not really sure how many stars to give Stepping Stone as my child doesn't go here, he's not even here yet, I'm due in June. HOWEVER, I've tried multiple times to get in contact with someone at Stepping Stone as I know some facilities can have an extensive waitlist. I submitted the online request for information about a month ago and never heard back so I tried one more time. This time I heard back from someone, they sent me the tuition rates and enrollment forms, but now I can't get them to email me back about setting up a tour and two quick questions I had regarding their rates. I guess they don't need my business. I'll be going elsewhere since I can't get anyone to respond to me. read more

My daughter was there 3 months and that was 3 months too long. The Director only cares about the mighty dollar and if you sign-up after the 15th, there is a 10% penalty for mid-month fee...wtf? My daughter is 2.5 and we absolutely loved her morning teacher, but she always seemed overwhelmed. We'd drop our daughter off between 730-800 every morning and she would be watching between 10-12 toddlers by herself. This was addressed to the director who stated that it was due to scheduling. The minimum standard is up to 12 or 13 toddlers if I'm correct, but for one teacher 10 plus toddlers is way too much. In 3 months my daughter was hurt more than 2 years at other daycares. When we went to get her health paperwork and move her to another daycare, they didn't have her shot records or Certificate of Health in her file. They stated they must have misplaced it. In addition, there were several times when her Tadpoles report at the end of the day, only showed two diaper changes. Two diaper changes for an 8-10 hour day? One final note, security at this facility worried me. People could walk in and out as they please. Not once did our pick-up for our daughter ever get asked for an ID. Too many dysfunctional moving parts at this place for me to trust my precious daughter to them. I know you may say, "why did you leave your daughter there for 3 months if it was so bad"? Well first we were waiting for about 2 minths for a spot to open at a nearby school, plus it worked well with our work schedules, since we didn't have family support. We were lucky nothing major every happened with our daughter, but I wouldn't be surprised if I eventually read about this place in the news. Final words, don't trust your precious cargo to this place, especially while Kim is running it and you have Kids R Kids and Primrose so close. PS Good luck knowing if they're open on certain holidays, they don't post if they'll be open and when you call, no one answers, which means no one is at the front desk watching the front entrance. read more

I had a series of problems and each day my 4 year old was there we discovered a new problem. Lack of a program or organization for the kids led to the kids being bored and getting into aggressive behaviors and trouble. Other kids would push my kid into a table and punch my kid in the stomach. Nothing was done to prevent these aggressive behaviors and nothing was done to reprimand these behaviors effectively either. No one talks to the other parents about their kids behaviors for correction at home. Teachers have no real implementable curriculum for the kids. It is all fake smiles and lies just like most other day cares. Unfortunately many day cares pretend to be great but don't actually care about the kids. I lost about $1000 as a result of this day care not living up to the high standard it claims to have. read more
