I get a call from daycare stating my child had slapped a teacher at 4:50pm during nap time. On the way home, I explained to my child we do not hit teachers. That is not a nice thing to do. We keep our hands to yourself. Well then my daughter proceeds to tell me the teacher squeezed me and it hurt my heart. When she tells me this she sounded sad and hurt. I went into panic mode asking what does that mean? Like you couldn't breathe or were you in pain? I said when we get home, demonstrate to me and your dad what happen. Well we get home and ask more questions, she said momma sit down, I sit down and she sits in between my legs. She said momma push your legs together like this. She said squeeze me, that's what the teacher did to me. So I said did it hurt? she said yes my heart. So when I dropped her off I told the director, I need a meeting. She asked is everything ok, I said yes and no. I didn't want to give her too much info because I didn't want to lose camera footage. They are known to lose footage or they can not play it back. We have our meeting the next day. I explained to her what happened and told her I want to see the cameras. She explains they are live streamed and aren't able to play it back. So happen the area manager was there. I said what do you mean you can't play them back and so what is the point of having them? So she takes me to the area manager to explain the process of the cameras. She asked what do I want to see. I said a teacher squeezed my daughter and she asked for the teachers name. We go over what happened. They explain I understand if I was in your shoes I would be a concerned parent too and I don't think that teacher would do that. I know you and your family have been here since ******* was a baby. Our priority is to make sure your child is safe but we also want to advocate for our teachers too. They tried to reassure me but it didn't work. The director writes my statement, stated they would question the teacher and get her statement, then they would turn this into licensing, licensing would then investigate the school and then licensing would reach out to me to question the situation. They said in the mean time we will keep this teacher and your daughter in separate rooms. I'm still upset because my child has been here since she was 6 months old and it was like they didn't care. At that point my child turned into a number. We wrap up the meeting. My daughter wanted to go home with her dad, so we go get her things and as we are walking out, my daughter points to the wall and said that's the teacher that squeezed me. Mind you she is on the wall for teacher of the month. So I told myself submit the situation yourself. So I go on the website for daycare abuse and submitted a report. Well when I submitted it, I didn't get a confirmation email or anything. So I find out licensing came to daycare but no one was telling me anything. So then I go back to state website and call the 800 number. That same day licensing reaches out to me. We are talking and she's asking questions. She says something that triggers that she is going off my report. I said what? I said wait you didn't get a report from daycare, she said no. I receive this from an online report. I said you came on Monday and I asked them if you came. They were acting like they submitted the report like they were helping. They didn't want to report this because they were already under an investigation. At that point before I had talked to licensing something told me to pull my daughter out and I did. I went in to get a document signed and the director says Brie's not here, is she coming tomorrow, I said nope and then she asked is she coming Friday? I said nope and she then say is she coming back at all and I said nope. She said did you tell anyone. I said I was getting to that. I said my daughter will not be back and she then hands me the withdrawal form. I signed the form and left. I wasn't going to keep my daughter here. The trust from this facility was gone after they didn't report to licensing, my daughter would say she hated this school or she was scared to go in. I couldn't do it. She had went through 5-6 teachers alone in preschool. She doesn't even acknowledge the school when we pass it. That should tell you something. She use to say that's my school. Trust me, it hurt to make that decision because she also had friends she grew up with since they were 6 months old but I did not feel safe leaving her there with her comments. read more

Our daughter has been going to TLE Pflugerville since she was 3 months old and she is now 2.5yrs. We've had many teachers over our time, but a few stand out. Ms. Amaiya has been outstanding with our daughter while she was in Toddler B. Our daughter loves her so much so that now that she has moved on from her class, she will still sometimes refuse to enter the new class unless Ms. Amaiya is there. She has been so great that she'll often at times help take her in the morning until her current teacher is available to get her. We are extremely grateful for her! Currently, our daughter is in Ms. Stephanie's class and she loves and trusts her as well. Ms. Stephanie has been incredible and is always available to give us updates on our daughter's potty training. She encourages her all the time to do things on her own and she's been so crucial for us in helping us potty train our daughter. The front desk of TLE has been amazing as well! Ms. Jessica and her team have done an amazing job and really have given a lot of consistency to the facility that we felt was lacking for a while. Seeing Ms. Jessica's and Ms. Phoenix's faces in the morning always lights up our daughter's face. We are moving away soon and won't be able to send our daughter here. We will truly miss the staff and all they have done for our daughter. They have made such a big impact on our daughter's and our lives and we hope we've made a lasting impression as well. read more

Looking for childcare is already overwhelming as it is, from the very beginning of the process to now everyone has been so supportive. From the director, to the front office and the teachers and all the staff they are all amazing. I definitely would recommend it. You get updated pictures as the day goes on. My son has been TLE for about 8 months. Everything seemed to be going well and we were planning on keeping him enrolled for another year and a half while we prepare to move out of state. Today my husband comes home after picking up our son who will now be moving from the baby to toddler class in the upcoming few week. Then he informs me the staff said that you must stop bringing any and all food from home with the toddler class. They refused to offer any explanation to me and hung up the phone. I called back they will not pick up. What kind of service is this? I believe this is a form of stonewalling. Anyways to better places! Do yourself a favor look for a daycare not ran by TLE unless you are okay with losing all control over what your child eats the second they start to walk. I only give two stars because some of the teachers are nice. Those that are nice, leave. It's a pattern we observed over the past nearly two years that our child was there. We unenrolled them immediately one day due to a major violation/incident where the safety of our child was in question. I loved the place and raved about it before this year. Things changed over the past 6 months where the good teachers are gone or on their way out. The floaters don't really care about the kids and leave them to cry. Some leads scream at the kids. I've personally witnessed this all and have complained a couple times only to be placated or patronized. The violation was the last straw. While they may have 'fixed' whatever was wrong, I would never trust them again. Check out the DFPS website for yourself. My only regret is that I waited this long. These are things I've seen on my own, leaving me always wondering what I wasn't seeing. Finding childcare is hard enough. Places like these make it worse. read more

In that time I saw my younger child (23mo-2.5) pulled by his arm HARD away from the window when he saw me and started crying. And my older child was grabbed so hard by the preschool teacher, Mrs Coffey, that she had finger bruises on her arm. She told us "when I don't listen, my teacher grabs my arm really hard". When we spoke to the principal about it, they denied the incident and only sought to protect their teacher and not the children. There were many other smaller issues like biting, teachers yanking kids arms often and a child getting stitches from cutting his eye open from no supervision. We came to The Learning Experience with PTSD from our previous childcare provider. Even though my son's last school was considered one of the premier daycares in Pflugerville with fancy cameras, my son was behind, undisciplined and without any real structure. Towards the end of our enrollment, I was paying an insane amount of money a month for them to just keep my child alive. He was learning nothing. Now we are at The Learning Experience at Pflugerville. The director and owner are warm, caring and have understood the pain we endured at our previous center. The entire staff has been patient with my child as he adjusts to a structured learning environment. There's a curriculum and the follow it! I was so impressed at the end of the month to receive a workbook with all of my child's assignments. I get to see his work, not just get a vague report. Throughout the day we get lovely pics of our child's day, and updates on his eating and sleep schedule. It's early days but so far, this center has been a breath of fresh air. Once you look passed all the new and fancy everything (the center is gorgeous!), there's real learning going on, not just daycare. My son loves it here. read more

highly recommended, very secure with double entry doors and staff always up front ready to help and greet. easy to park and drop off and pick up. very very clean and bright, relatively new building with modern appliances etc. we've had great experiences with many of the care takers but would have to say that Ms B and Ms Emily have been tremendous! my only suggestion would be more shade in the playground. since the pandemic it has been tough to find staff so like other places there's a bit of turnover but overall it's been a good experience, price includes food. the app is useful although I imagine with all the data collection the care takers already have their hands full.. but the place does a great job of record keeping. read more

Being new to Austin, we were very hesitant to enroll our daughter into pre-k. After contacting numerous childcare facilities, TLE stood out the most. They had great availability, pricing, and also allowed us to tour their facility. They have great security measures, learning methods, and an app that provides updates and pictures of your child throughout the day. Mrs. Coffee was my child's teacher and she was amazing! My son was here for little over a year. We liked his teachers initially and he seemed to be doing good too but things have started going down fast the past few months and we decided to take him out. There were quite a few days when he would be left in the same diaper the whole day. There were couple of incidents where he came home with bruises on his face and they downplayed the incidents. There is a huge teacher turnover and we see the good ones leaving. I've witnessed teachers yelling at the kids, leaving new kids (even infants) to cry for long hours, teachers using phones and not really caring about the kids learning anything. read more

my child has come here for some time and where in the beginning things seemed rocky, they all seemed to turn around and improve after the start of this year. Couldn't be happier having our daughter at the Learning Experience. She's currently in the infant room with Miss Napa and it's absolutely wonderful. Our daughter (8.5 months) is all smiles at drop off and clearly adores her teacher. The curriculum is great - even in the infant room they do so much to engage with the babies. We love getting pictures throughout the day showing how she's learning and playing and is clearly so happy and so well cared for. Insert a fantastic daycare. The Learning Experience in Pflugerville was a complete life saver. They got my child in within 2 days and the staff was amazing from day one! My child has flourished TREMENDOUSLY since starting 5 months ago. She has learned so much more here. They work with your child a lot in certain areas of need and make you feel like part of a family. We absolutely love this preschool for our son! The infant teachers are fantastic and have a caring attention for detail. As new parents, we were nervous about sending our son to daycare but the TLE staff has made the transition extremely easy. Every morning the infant teachers and I have a chat about how my son is progressing. They are attentive, knowledgeable, professional, and just overall lovely, good people. There is no doubt they deeply care about the wellbeing of the children and are committed to giving them a positive, clean environment. They have helped our son immensely with napping (a previous issue for us!) and improving his physical strength. The structured program TLE offers is phenomenal as well. Honestly ever since we moved back home from Kansas it has been fairly difficult finding a good early child care center for my daughter to attend and actually get something out of it. My daughter started at TLE (the learning experience) and by far have been one of the best schools I have been in by far. They actually care, interact, and TEACH her in addition to their amazing events they hold and their enrichment programs, sign language & Spanish teaching. All included within the price. Their app allows a reassurance to how my child does throughout out the day in addition to feedback from the teacher throughout the week and at the end of the day with where my child is cognitively and where there is work needed as well!!!
