Worst pedicure I've ever received... they're have an atm in the store and expect bill and tip in cash but without that being posted anywhere... my 5 year old was begging for a pedicure, so I was just going to go basic for me... the technician upcharged me so much for things she said "I needed" I should have gotten the deluxe! We were in and out in 20 minutes, and that was with drying time under the lamp! Not busy, we were the only ones in the whole salon ... not closing times, we were not picky. Save yourself... Went there for the first timw after a friend's recommendation. I couldn't get the two techs she had recommended so I ended up with whomever could take me. WORSE pedicure and SNS service ever. The tech didn't remove enough of the previous SNS and my nails look bumpy and the cuticles look terrible too. My pedicure, just regular nails polish is so uneven! The tech, Duyen, was most certainly not experienced. I love this place. I was recommended by my co-worker. I've been picky lately and nobody seems to know how to do designs. I also look on Sterling Nails and Beauty Instagram for pics. (Better than Yelp) the designs show they have skills and techniques. Annie is the best and easy to communicate with. She's the sweetest and calls you "baby". Under new management! Brand new renovation. This place is a 180 from where it was the first time I walked in. Everything from floor to ceiling is brand new! Annie is who I see and she is very skilled especially at pink & whites. There is plenty of staff to go around, as each time I come in they are busy busy. I love that the new pedicure sink bowls have a plastic cover so that your feet are the only ones that contact the bowl! Great sanitation that I have never seen anywhere else. I came to just remove my acrylics + agreed to add on the "buffing & shaping" too. This process shouldn't be painful, but it was. She (no name tag; wouldn't want to completely call her out anyway) used the nail file drill for like 30 seconds, then put it away & asked if I wanted to let them soak while she does my pedicure. I never asked for a pedicure, so I said "No thanks, I just need my acrylics taken off please, I have a friend waiting on me." Maybe this made her mad that I wasn't opting for a higher priced service? B/c she then proceeded to use nail PLIERS & a new acrylic extension to literally PRY my acrylic from my natural nail. I tried to tough it out, on the 4th nail I told her it was painful but she continued to use the nail extension wedged between & nails clippers to remove my acrylics! seriously should've gotten out of the chair & walked out bc the nail dip ridge that's now on my natural thumbnail would NOT have happened if she had properly soaked them off or used a drill. Hate to be a Karen but I might have a permanently damaged nail bed now, so this 1 star review feels well warranted. read more

What a day!!! I went to another salon in Loudoun and they epically Effffd up my nails. After I write this review I'm finding their shop blasting them. When I left that shop and realized how messed up my nails were I immediately called Sterling Nails and Beauty. I've been there before and I knew if anyone could fix my nails it would be Annie. I got there and found out Annie had left for the day. Though a bit disappointed, I know that Annie runs a great shop so I knew I was in good hands. A tech named Linda came to my rescue. She was patient, kind, and even made me laugh through my "freak out." Linda performed a miracle and made sure my nails we're not only beautiful, but even, smooth, and in the coffin shape that I requested. Sterling Nails and Beauty will always have my business. Average. I found it a bit expensive for a regular pedicure. I must've gotten the new girl. She barely filed my toenails. Cuticles barely clipped. An hour and a half later, I notice a bunch of small bubbles in the polish. I wish I just did them my self and saved myself the money. I went out of my way to come to this salon after a lady on the phone told me they r very good with coffin shaped nails and also nail art. Couldn't have been further from the truth. Not only r they pricey NY fingers r latterly burning. I have a thin spot on my nail and she kept drilling over it even with my noticeable pain. Getting my nails done during work never felt so good. I won't disclose the details of my employment at the time that I frequented Sterling Nails, as not to destroy my relationship with the employer, but let's just say, the temptation to leave and go to Sterling Nails rather than work was quite over powering. Usually when I frequent a new nail salon, I feel a bit of tension from the manicurists who don't know me, don't know if I'm going to tip, or if I'll like their work. I felt none of this tension when I walked into Sterling Nails. The manicurists were quick to great me, and ask what sort of services I wanted. I got acrylic tips with a french manicure. She was extremely gentle, and made sure that they were just the shape and length that I wanted. While I was getting my nails done, another manicurist approached me and told me that I had beautiful eyes and she loved my eye make up. Five minutes later, yet another manicurist approached me and told me she loved my skin tone. French manicure + never ending compliments .... How can that be bad? My tips lasted 2 weeks without needing a fill, with which how much I use my hands, is amazing for me. Definitely somewhere I would frequent more if I lived closer :) read more

My manager's kind of a high roller, so when she suggested this place, I was worried it would be expensive...well, it really wasn't! For $55, I got: 1) Gel manicure - which i highly recommend! I'm going on week 4 and the polish hasn't budged (although you can see the nail growth at the bottom) 2) Pedicure with sea salt scrub - nothing fancy, but I got to sit in a massage chair while everything was done Kim was great, and didn't try to up-sell me like some other places have done to me before. I give this place an A-ok. It's about the same as most strip shopping center nail salons. I primarily use Tina because she is recommended by a co-worker. Most of the time I have an appointment but I still have to wait. That's a little annoying. Gel manicures last the usual length of time. My last pedicure didn't last too long. Not sure why. There is nothing special about what they do or what they offer for the price. The last two times I went, it was during lunch and the place was empty. Not sure when their busy time is - but lunch time is not it! If you are concerned about hygiene this may be the place for you. They cover the pedicure bowls with plastic (I think it's a little weird) and the tools appear to be sanitized after each use. Tina is very friendly and competent. I've never been to anyone else. read more

As noted in earlier reviews, this place is meticulously clean for a strip mall salon. Bags in the pedicure chairs, coats/name tags for the staff, clean equipment, etc. There are probably 10 or 13 types of pedicures available, and I personally found it handy to see them clearly articulated and differentiated on a sheet with pricing (vs an unclear, vague explanation from a staff member at other places I've been). I just can't get over the price - my usual shellac Mani and regular pedi is $50-55, and they charged $68 (the price sheet said it'd be $62, but I think I had an upcharge for callous removal) - it's not so much I wouldn't consider going back, but it does give me pause - althoug the polish brand I wasn't familiar with (not OPI, but can't remember exactly), so perhaps it's somehow better - only time will tell! read more

I have a love/hate relationship with nail salons. I love being pampered and how my nails look. I hate nail technician who try to upsale and push you into other treatments. I came in for my bi-weekly full early. My nails were barely grown out but I had an acrylic pop off, and needed emergency services. My nail tech told me my nails were too grown out. She told me I should take my nail extensions off and put new ones one. She told me I should do gel powder instead. I know what I like, as I have been getting my nails done for years. I repeatedly declined her pushy suggestions. The final straw is when she looked up at me saying, "you need eyebrow wax today" as she stared right at my ideas. I personally find that offensive, as she is telling me I need to fix my eyebrows. I said no, and she asked if I get mine done at the salon. I commented no, and she kept pushing for me to tell her where I get them done. As far as nails, my nails look pretty fantastic. Its just a shame the customer service of the nail tech will prevent me from returning. read more

I had an SNS manicure and traditional pedicure done on Saturday 12/12 the manicure is ehh...bumpy and uneven. The pedicure is awful already chipping and not worth the struggle to pay?! No one mentions before the service that their only method of pay is via cash apps..... not acceptable. In my opinion if you offer a service you should tell customers ahead of time what the preferred payment is. My pedicure is already chipping and my cuticles are trash. 10/10 do not recommend. Their service was snippy and rude when I expressed I was not comfortable paying with an app. read more

I chose the "classic Spa pedi" but added on callouse removal since I had not had a pedi since October. I didnt see her do anything extra and my feet were not all that smooth when I left.
