I must admit I am pretty upset to have to leave this review. But it is warranted. I have been going to this salon for a very long time. Last Sunday they cancelled my daughter and my's appointment at the last minute for an illness. Get it. Yesterday I had an appointment at 3. I called at opening with no answer (twice) and left a vm to cancel my appointment. They charged me $25. I called to ask for grace as a decade long client and they basically told me to take a leap. I have been here multiple times now and can confirm they are consistent in both services and safety. I would recommend them to anyone who needs their nails done. When it comes to Covid safety- they rock!! Appointments ensure social distance. Upon entry my temperature was taken and I was directed to hand washing station to wash my hands. When it comes to price- you get a lot for your money!! Pedicures are great and the time for the price is much better than others in the area. Quality- beautiful work! Favorite nail salon in great falls! Best manicures around! I travel from DC to get my nails done here. The salon is clean and relaxing. It feels like going to a girlfriend's house but better! The salon is clean and calming. My friend and I went to get pedicures and opted for the Rhône service since we were treating ourselves as she came from out of town. Overall, everything was just ok. Both of us felt that the treatment for the buffing of our heels was inadequate, and we both left with the cracked heels we came in with. Not the best pedicure I've had...and I did have pretty high expectations given the zip code I was in. Went during mid day on Saturday and it was moderately busy...maybe three other people there but I think they we're short-staffed that day so the service was a bit slow. There wasn't anything wrong with the service I received but I felt kind of obliged to give a higher tip with how some of the other patrons spoke down to the staff here which was completely unwarranted. Sometimes I hate coming to neighborhood's like Great Falls where some of the people here think that they are better than anyone else that isn't in their tax bracket. Had a lovely experience in the moment, and the salon is beautiful and clean, but I spent $40 for a gel manicure on Thursday then two days after two nails started to lift near the cuticle, two days ago one of the nails chipped, and yesterday one other completely lifted off. I have had standard manicures at other salons that have lasted longer, and I opted for gel at this salon because I needed the manicure to last for my engagement photos. At least my ring hand is fine.... I would not recommend this salon based on the quality of work I received. An expensive gel manicure should last longer than 5 days. read more

Had a wonderful gel manicure from Melinda. River Nails is clean, quiet, and relaxing unlike some of the other salons in Great Falls.

Up until it was suggested that I try the powder nails I was getting gels. A few weeks ago I try the SNS powder nails and I must say they are the most beautiful nails that I have had as far as I can remember. The technicians at River nails are highly skilled in all kinds of manicures but they did an incredible job with this new type. Besides looking absolutely natural and beautiful I understand that it does lasts longer than gel nails which is why it also caused a bit more but well worth it read more

I came here a few weeks ago for a pedicure and it was great! I chose the Rhone Signature and paid an additional $10 for extra massage time. The prices are definitely comparable to other salons and all of the staff members were very friendly. One of the other girls I was with even asked for an eyebrow wax after our pedicure and - although they were busy - they still accommodated her request quickly. Beautiful, modern salon. Was able to make an appointment for three of us on the same day. Lovely decor and very clean. Pedicure was great and not rushed. It's a bit strange that they don't have the typical massage chairs, but it wasn't really a big deal and I actually think it was nice to not have them for a change. The only other minor thing to note is that they don't have your typical OPI or Essie brands polish, so if you are particular about a certain color be sure to bring it! They did have enough options to choose from though, and it's still day one of my polish but it looks like it should hold! read more

one bad experience so far. I live within walking distance to this nail salon and have been at least 7-8 times since finding it and have had very good experiences all of those times- the technicians are sweet and thorough, the place is clean and cute, and the polish color selection is vast. I went yesterday and saw a technician I've never seen there before, I got her name but will refrain from writing it here. I think I'd been to every girl who works there so far, this was a new one. She had a headphone in her ear listening to music the whole time- no problem didn't feel like chatting either. During the pedicure I got the feeling she had 'tude, but she kept to herself so I didn't care. During the gel manicure, I told her right before she applied the color that I like to go through the UV light twice after each layer is applied. (In my experience, it helps the gel polish cure and last a little longer.) She said ok. Then after the first cycle of the UV light went off and she was painting my other hand, I asked her to please turn the light on again, she said "no." I figured she misunderstood me. So when she told me to switch hands, I asked her to turn the light on, I wanted to do it twice. She said "no, it doesn't matter." I said "I've noticed a difference between 1 and 2 light cycles." She huffs, turns the light on, and stands up and walks away in this rushed, annoyed way. After the light went off, she wasn't back at her seat yet, so the girl who sits next to her (who I've been to and like very much, Khulan) turned the light on again without saying anything. Ok, even if it were the most ridiculous request in the world, she should have done it without the attitude. AND IT WASN'T. It added a total of like 4 minutes to the time the manicure took. She just had such the attitude, and if she had pushed back once more I would have wound up getting in a fight with this girl in middle of the nail salon where I'm trying to CHILL! The only good thing I will say about her is that she actually did a really good job on my nails. They look good. She was super thorough, just a total B! I tipped her, just less than I ordinarily would. read more

This salon is clean and beautiful! The staff was very friendly and attentive. My nails look great! I got the simplest mani pedi service but the massage and lotion was still exceptional compare to most other places. I got gel on my fingers and she did a great job. The chairs were big leather chairs but they were extremely comfortable and i could have fallen asleep right there. My mom came with me but didn't get anything done so she sat in their roomy sitting area and said it was comfortable and pretty. The view from a large window while you get your fingers done was exceptional. The colors that they have are great because it has a matching gel and regular polish so I can coordinate my fingers and toes since i don't get gel on my toes. I got the color "grapefruit sparkle" and it is beautiful. I will definitely be coming back and trying more of their fancier services because for the cost, environment, and end result it was worth every penny! read more
