So i scheduled our appontments on a Thursday after school so the kids wouldnt miss school and on a day that finally worked fornmy husbands work schedule. I scheduled appointments at least a month in advance. Then the day before our appointments i was told that they double booked my appointment and would have to have my appointment an hour later...but with kids and the distance that doesn't work. No concern from opticare. They have always had great customer service but clearly that has changed. I will be looking for another eye doctor.

My Altru eye doctor left her practice at Altru and a friend recommended I try Dr. Gander. I was so impressed by the thoroughness of the exam and the explanations for the results of each exam. My previous eye appointments have never been this thorough. I have borderline glaucoma so my eye health is important. I am very very thankful that my friend Lisa recommended Dr. Gander. Excellent exam, excellent service, and the staff are very nice.

I didnt get his name..one more thing I want to add is when I told her about my experience at my last exam how the dr was in such a rush and that I was never happy with my prescription she took the extra time to show me what my new script would look like. I cant wait to get my new script and new franes. Its also very good price..for my exam, the new lens and frames the total was 160.00 I couldnt get mine done same day since I have astigmatism, and got the no line bifocal,anti glare and scratch resistant its gonna take up to 2 weeks. I called up Valley Vision Clinic at the recommendation of my boyfriend to schedule. It was a very clean and nice office. The nurse took me within a few minutes of arriving to have a "picture" taken of the back of my eye with some new fancy equipment. Dr. Hall came in a few minutes after that and he looked at my eye pictures and explained what he was looking at. He even offered to print them for me to hang up, but sadly only one other patient has ever taken him up on that offer. The doctor was very personable and explained everything as he did it. We found out that I would benefit from some low strength lenses, and then explained the difference between prescription glasses and reading glasses like I had been wearing, ultimately letting me make my own choice on what to do. Since my insurance doesn't cover routine eye exams, I paid $110 for the exam. They do take health insurance, though, if it covers the eye exams. I would recommend this clinic, and will be going back yearly while I live in Grand Forks.

An update to my recent DDA situation. After my previous review, a claim(the one that was promised,…read morebut not filed & "probably wouldn't pay anything anyway" was finally filed, not until after my first review. I am still wondering why that was said to me. Don't all charges have to be coded and amounts made/charged? I did not receive total I paid to DDA, but my dental insurance's allowance. For that, I guess I am supposed to be grateful. I was also accused(?) of not getting other people at DDA "involved" in my concern(s). After their charging me for repairing expensive and fairly new work and continued response "I am not part of medical Staff" while I was asking questions, I was not in the mood to hear any more of what I felt was condescending lip service, from anyone. I can't imagine anyone would feel differently, at this point. How did I end up being charged for what I feel is shoddy work? Was I supposed to "barter" about the charges before I was allowed to leave the building? No thanks. The main gist of a followup letter from office manager was to remove my original review. No apologies of any type. It also seemed to infer I was to blame or the main problem, even though they admitted "a problem was corrected"?? My original review is all true. I am not sure sharing reviews does other than help others that may end up with same experience. I will say I have done business at DDA for many years and have had some good experiences. This was not one of those.

The suction was so strong it kept banging my teeth every time I closed my mouth over it . I told the dentist once crown was done it still felt the same I couldn't tolerate cold or touching it they both still proceeded to scrub it with gauze to dry it. I understand the cement needs to be dry but there is such a thing as bedside manner. I wouldn't recommend them and I am never going back!

I really appreciate being greeted warmly by Lori or Kim as we walk in the door. Gwen and Mindy have been great with my girls during their regular visits and Dr. Bridgeford is very helpful in answering any questions we have about the braces process. Overall, we have been very pleased with the care, cost and results of our braces.
