Over these years I have stopped into their store with questions regarding our system and possible upgrades. All were dealt with to our satisfaction. Recently we experienced a trouble alarm that I was not able to determine the exact nature of. I visited their office and the technicial remotely viewed our system and determined it was a battery issue. Or more correctly, a couple battery issues. As we are a longer term client with a monitored system, they gave me a main power battery at a significantly reduced price. Accompanying this were details on how to trace down the other battery troubles. In conclusion, it unfortunately is a rarity that one gets such good service in todays world. So if you are considering a monitoring system, why not deal locally with a company that is customer oriented.

He used to be an installer for ADT and has installed thousands of home systems before. He now works for himself and has a small business. My mother-in-law moved to a care home and nobody knew her master code at her home. Her system was not used for a year. Greg came and professionally reset the system with a few tricks he knew (as the old Honeywell system happened to be from ADT Protectron). He did not try to pressure sell me on a monthly monitoring program, although he did offer that service as well. At my request, he replaced the old monitoring panel with an alpha numeric panel which is now much easier to determine what is going on compared to the old numeric code panel. He also installed a second horn which was ingeniously concealed. Intruders trying to smash the first horn would be confused as to why the horn is still going off and would continue trying to smash the first horn. He could have unnecessarily replaced the motion sensors but he said they were fine. Since the smoke detector and CO detector needed replacement because they were too old, Greg gave me the options and said it would be cheaper to buy them stand alone from Costco rather than replacing them in the alarm system. He disconnected them from the alarm system at my request. I did not bother to comparison shop for services as Greg was fair with his prices. People need to make a decent profit living in the Lower Mainland. I didn't want the hassle of a person making you feel guilty about not buying monitoring. He gave me all the price options and allowed me to make the decisions without any pressure at all. He doesn't have a fancy truck or van but came in his car. I highly recommend Greg. He's a good guy.

They showed up right on time and got right to work. They did everything quickly and pleasantly and exactly as asked; they even figured out stuff that I wouldn't have been able to explain--even though all the equipment was already here, it wasn't stuff they sold. The air in our area has suffered from local area fire smoke and our house's fire alarms started to…read morerandomly alarm. Not knowing what was happening, I called the Folks at Signal Services to ask if they could help. I spoke with their main operational head who explained that my fire alarms were old (beyond their 10 year life) and needed replacement. Rather than pitch their services, he explained that this was something I could probably handle myself, where to go and the appropriate next steps. Within a few days I had replaced all of our smoke detectors with the latest edition - problem solved. SO WHY am I writing this review. Because the guys at Signal Services didn't have to walk me through what was happening and how to fix it. They didn't get paid, had plenty of other things to be doing that day, but took the time to help me out for free. They set me up with an amazing system with high quality cameras and a great app that alarms when anyone is within frame for the allotted time.
