My shower pan was flexing. Received a text letting me know when Caleb was on his way, he showed up in the time window he had given us. He drilled holes in the shower pan, installed a substance that hardens so the pan stops flexing. Filled the drilled holes and refinished the shower pan. After waiting 2 weeks for an appointment, upon arrival refinisher refused to wear a mask, said I was rude for asking, and in a huff, angrily took his box of tools and almost ran to his truck. After pealing out from my driveway, I got a brief text saying the work has finished. Rude, unprofessional and uncaring about customer's safety. Sterling Refinishing said he had an exemption from wearing a mask. What??? The mask he has to use for spraying is much worse that a cloth mask for covid. Ridiculous. read more

A picture is worth a thousand words. Look at the pictures and you will see two of the issues. We had a bathtub refinished by this company. My concern was the tub was a little rough to the touch on the inside, almost like fine grit sandpaper. The owner Kaleb came to my home today to look at the work. He said he saw where there was overspray, and could feel the roughness on the inside. There was also a small defect where it looks like the technician bumped it before the material was fully cured. He stated the job was "passable" by industry standards. He also agreed that it was not the highest quality work. He solution was that I could pay for materials to have him redo the work. Why would I want to pay for something that should have been done right the first time? He was very argumentative. He stated that he has two guys spraying tubs all day and if he went to check every job they did and had to fix jobs that had minor issues he would go broke. WOW! how about doing the job right the first time. I told him that if he was happy to provide "passable" work then as the customer I guess I would have to accept that because I have no intention of paying him again. Buyer beware. If you want "passable" work this is your guy. If you want QUALITY work, look elsewhere. read more
