I have been a customer of his since 2009. I haven't had any problems until just recently. It all started because I never got my renewal for my auto insurance. I didn't notice until it was expired on a Saturday. I was going out of town and freaked out. I tried calling and emailing with no luck. I also tried calling the insurance company with no luck either. By this time I had to call another company and pay a lot more so I could have insurance for my trip. So come Monday Steve calls me back. He wanted to make sure I knew he wasn't at fault. When I told him I was mad and that I felt let down as a customer he got very defensive and started yelling that it was not his fault that the post office messed up. I told him that he did not need to yell and that I was allowed to feel frustrated about the fact that I could not contact anyone and the whole situation was frustrating. He then yelled that he was so sorry that he works ten hour days Monday- Friday and that he took a day off! I told him(while talking calmly) that I might have to find someone else and he said thanks a lot. I was disappointed at how quick he snapped on me. He was so rude! This guy is the definition of sleeze! Many years ago I had him in my home before he relocated to Grover Beach, CA and signed up for Homeowners and auto insurance... thru the years I found better less expensive policies for my cars.... last year Steve called me to discuss a bundle package which was a lot more money than what I had... I declined- he said something in closing like well- your homeowners is gonna drop you next year- but would not say why.... long story short they did, and neither they nor he gave me any notice! When I called him he was rude, snide and could care less- apparently because I did not go with his expensive bundle.... anyways he told me to work with an agent in my area! I had referred a few folks to him over the years, and this is the thanks I get! Do yourselves a favor and stay clear of this guy- his ethics are poor and he is only in the business of making money off your policies- very poor customer service- without warning one can lose thier home withour insurance- and he didnt even blink an eye- no morals, values, or dedication- luckily I found out that the company I had for homeowners simply was no longer going to work in this area and found another company easily ON MY OWN! read more
