Lee is just amazing and truly my go-to inspector for all of my clients. I have complete confidence…read morerecommending him because I know he is going to be thorough, honest, knowledgeable, and, most importantly, take the time to really educate my clients. One of the things I appreciate most about Lee is that he doesn't just walk through a home and point out issues--he teaches you along the way. If there is something you don't understand or something new to you, he takes the time to explain how it works, why it matters, and what you should be aware of as a homeowner. That is especially valuable for first-time buyers, but honestly, even experienced homeowners can learn something from him. His attention to detail is incredible, and his reports are extremely thorough and easy to understand. He is also responsive and willing to answer questions even after the inspection is over, which gives my clients an added level of confidence and peace of mind throughout the transaction. As a Realtor, having trusted professionals I can confidently refer my clients to is so important, and Lee is absolutely one of those people. I know my clients are in good hands with him, and I highly recommend Lee and Longstone Inspection Services to anyone buying or selling a home!

William dolch was good to work with, but his son David was horrendous. Extremely rude and abrasive both in person and on the phone. They scheduled an appointment without confirming the date that I was unable to attend, I called 3 days in advance to reschedule. The lady who answered the phone confirmed that it was rescheduled. David still came out on the previous day when I was at work and when I answered the phone and told him I rescheduled the appointment he started yelling and being very unprofessional when clearly there was a lack of communication within the company. When he did eventually come back out, he didn't bring the proper supplies to patch the wall that had previously tested positive for black mold. We asked for him to come back when it could be properly patched up because we didn't want to risk being exposed to black mold if it was still there. He got an attitude about it and said we would have to pay an additional fee for him to return. It's not our fault he came out and didn't have the proper supplies when he knew in advance which areas we wanted retested! Then they never walked through the test results. I would NEVER recommend this company to anyone.

Their consultant (Jeff…read moreVaughan) indicated to me that they "knew my area" and that the soils in my area were likely unsuitable for anything but a very expensive/advanced septic system. Despite their discouragement, I hired him as a consultant to come out to my property and sample the soils for suitability. Their visit confirmed to me that the soils were in line with his preconceived notions that my property couldn't support an expansion of the current LPP system on my property. Shortly thereafter, during the permitting process, Wake county indicated soils suitable for a new repair area. I then hired another soil scientist who determined that my soils were suitable for an expanded LPP area, and were not too far from being acceptable for a conventional septic system. In short, the AWT engineer I hired (Jeff Vaughan) started out with the mindset that it couldn't be done, and ended up coming to the same conclusion. He was pretty adamant that a very expensive system would be required to achieve my end goals. In short, I wouldn't recommend this company - there are soil scientists in the area that will take the time to try and find a workable solution based on your soils - my impression with AWT is that they try to steer you to costly systems (both to install and maintain) that are perhaps better for their bottom line, but not necessarily for the customer.

Dishonest & Irresponsible…read more Hired AWT while purchasing our home, Julie Davidson wrote us a report stating the well she tested was in perfect working order. Fast forward a couple years, we have no water in our home. Come to find out the well she "tested" had been out of commission and didn't even have power for years prior to her examination. Have spoken with several people in this office, they do not care, they will not even provide their insurance carrier information so that we can follow up appropriately. Our family would never have bought (nor been approved) to buy this home without a known, tested and functioning well. Their dishonest report and lack of interest in providing even the most basic assistance has left our family without water for over a month while we try to work with the county to resolve this issue. Hire someone else.
