When we decided it was time, I started investigating painters. I kept coming back to Everlast Pro Painting. I decided to call and Patrick Overby came out to meet me, we talked and walked around, I showed him some issues I had with wood rot, and he assured he could have them fixed. A couple of days later the bid came in, and it was what I had imagined and hoped for, so we agreed. We set a time that would work for us both, and we were set. When the time came, Patrick's team came and power washed the heck out of my house. The stones practically gleamed. The next workday, they got right after it, scraping old paint, patching uneven areas, fixing that wood rot and painting. The entire process took 3.5 days of work. The crew was friendly, but unobtrusive, conscientious and careful. I frequently saw them conferring about an area between themselves, pointing, talking, thinking. I know this sounds trite, but I really appreciated it. They had a couple areas of overspray, but they promptly fixed this. They had a few drips here and there, but they took care of that with me too. Overall, it was a very carefree experience, I'm really happy I decided on Everlast Pro Painting, and I will call them again, should the need arise. Whew! Ticked that nagging painting job off my list! I think that it's completely unfair to take someone's business, their livelihood, and rate it the lowest possible because they irritated you. If i have work done and it's unsatisfactory, I tell my story. But if I never even use them, I walk away, no need to blather on about it or how it made me feel.

The crew was always professional, friendly and respectful of our property. They were always on time and comunicated any issues they saw that needed to be addressed prior to painting. The company that extracted the water from the hall and partial in 2 bedrooms and the water heater room made holes in the wall to dry and one room a portion of the wall had to be removed along with the baseboard. There were holes in the hallway by the third bedroom and by the bathroom. This contractor came to my home to see and what I needed. He wrote me a proposal with labor, materials and paint. What areas that needed repair and painted. I even told him to pain the hallway. The first day he came patched up the holes and primed them. He said he would come back the next day. He left the one bedroom floor full of primer. I put a tarp that I purchased at Home Depot. It was all over the floor. He came back the next day. He finished painting fast. He wouldn't put the baseboard on. How can you leave one side of the wall without baseboard the rest with baseboard. He saw all of this when came. He told me if I wanted baseboard I would have to pay extra $35 to go get it because there was no Home Depot close. There is one close. Then he said he didn't carry anything to measure or to cut. I told him I have a measuring tape and Home Depot will cut the wood for you. He then got angry at me and told me if I didn't like it to go get it myself and he was finished and wanted his money. I told him no because his job wasn't finished. Will he went to get the board. I paid him everything that is on the invoice and he said didn't have receipts either. He was making this unpleasant. For what reason I don't know why. The tarps I purchased to help him, he kicked them in my bathroom and left them there. He didn't ask if where he could throw them away or if he didn't like them. Nothing. I have a large trash can outside. He just left them and I paid him and he left. The carpet guy came to clean the carpet and opened the water heater room, my god what was this guy thinking? He painted the walls that were so streaky and the baseboards were left with the old color and paint all over floor and paint that dripped on the baseboard. I cried. There was a hole made in the wall by the baseboard the guy that extracted the water made to dry. That was not patched or filled in. I sent pictures to Home Advisor. I do not recommend him. He disrespected me by the way he talked to me in my home. He scared me. I did call the police because I called home advisor and the lady told me to call the authorities if he scared me. but my mom said let him get the board and finish so he can leave. The police did offer to send someone. The police said if he starts up when he comes back call right away. He put the baseboard and I paid him. He left mad. I didn't dream he would of left this water heater area the way he did. The unfilled hole is visible. As I said what did he think. He told me at one point he ran out of paint. I offered to get it but he said he would get it for me. I was glad. Things look worse now than before he came. It's horrible. He never cleaned up before he left. It was so dirty. He even left the water heater with paint. I offered to cover it but he said would take care of everything. I felt assured. Big mistake. I'm very disappointed and upset. He wasn't taking home advisors calls until today. So I was asked to send pictures thru email which I did. Now I have to pay someone else to repair his mess.

From the beginning, they were professional, detailed, and actually cared about the quality of the work. This is an older house, and instead of cutting corners, they took the time to do things right. They sanded down rough areas to make everything look smoother and cleaner, redid caulking where needed, and paid attention to all the little details that make a huge difference in the final result. The execution was very well done, communication was solid, and they really came in and knocked it out. The house looks dramatically better now, and you can tell they take pride in their work. I hired Brad and his team back in March to paint my brand new home because he had previously done…read morework at my other home that I sold. I hired him to paint my entire house before moving in ..(2200 sq ft) ceilings, walls, trim, cabinets etc. which was quite costly but at the time I felt it was more reasonable than other companies. Unfortunately I was quite disappointed with the work they did on All the trim throughout the house. The walls were great but not all the trim baseboards, shelves, doors etc ... My brother who owns his own business as a painting contractor in Houston Tx for 30+ yrs specifically discussed with Brad (I was standing in room during discussion) the type of paint to use on all the trim which was oil-based of course, as that is standard and Brad agreed. Low and behold I find out "after" the work is done that they didn't use oil-based, but instead slapped latex over everything. When asked about it, Brad said his lead guy had told him that when the started the trim work it appeared the prior owner had used latex on all the trim and that it would be too much work to sand everything down and paint with oil-based, so they just made the decision on their own without even consulting me to use latex!! I feel that was very deceptive because all Brad had to do was come back and tell me how much more that was going to be to do the extra work and I would've been more than glad to pay it. Now I'm dealing with peeling paint throughout the house & just had my floors redone and Of course now I have to pay another company to sand all the baseboards and repaint everything oil based. Of course that Still doesn't care for my doors & shelves which are already peeling. I did try to settle the situation with Brad but he wasn't willing to redo anything other than touch up spots where there were issues. Sadly not the type of businessman I'll deal with in the future.
