However, my experience changed after that. I very much had to advocate for myself as a patient under her care. When trying to wean off a medication, she dismissed my concerns. She was also difficult to schedule appointments with. I had to message her if I needed/wanted an appointment since I was unable to book online (for telehealth). She also did not authorize medication refills unless I messaged her, which is fine as long as you know that going in. Lastly, I do not think she looked at my patient portfolio or notes before sessions. At my last session, she did not remember what medications we had tried, which made me sad. I want to feel heard and understood by my provider, and I did not experience that with Dr. Chidimma. However, I am hopefully the exception since she has so many great testimonials.
