This week I had had to take a visit to see the specialist to see Dr. Rangarajan. For the past couple of years, I had not been feeling like myself and things started to escalate the end of 2025. Long story short I have been having random fainting spells. I'm very winded just doing the simplest things like going up a flight of stairs, extreme fatigue, and just not feeling like my normal self. The last straw was an evening out with my sister and me having a random fainting spell while dining at a restaurant. She had never seen this happen to me and it was very scary and eye-opening which led to Dr. Rangarajan at Piedmont Heart Institute Brookhaven Cardiology. I must say my visit was very enlightening, very resourceful. Dr. Rangarajan was very thorough showed compassion and demonstrated stellar bedside manners! Even his physician assistant was top-notch. I left feeling educated of the necessary steps, he's taking to ensure we get to the bottom of why I'm having the fainting episodes and find a resolution which brings me sense of relief. Just a note to everyone please take care of your health, especially your heart and vascular health. It has no age limit. My significant other had an unexpected heart attack January 2025 at 43 years young. I'm so thankful he's still here with us! However, it doesn't always turn out this way as six months later we lost two friends and a family member to massive heart attacks all well in their early to late 40s. I'm grateful to have found a specialist who cares about my well-being and is taking his time to ensure all the necessary screenings/ test are scheduled. Do not wait for an ache or pain to get checked. Please take the time to go get your screenings. Make your heart health your priority! If you are looking for a cardiologist, I highly recommend Piedmont Heart Institute Brookhaven Cardiology. Ask for Dr. Rangarajan. The office building is visible & easy to access off of Peachtree Rd. The office building is connected to a Walgreens pharmacy. There is plenty of "free" parking in the parking garage. Lastly, despite what pleasant reviews Dr. Khorie has received must be paid. She is relatively unpleasant and not knowledgeable in her field. I am totally inclined to believe her medical license is a scam. She comes across as absolutely confused or uncertain of how to resolve patient issues and laughs dismissing patient concerns. Apparently, she doesn't know how to diagnose symptoms because she has given out a wrong prescription twice for a patient I am hired to watch. Avoid her at all cost.

I visited Paragon Sports Medicine for Achilles tendinitis and shoulder pain. I'd never visited an…read moreorthopaedic doctor before so I was a bit nervous, but my visit went really well. Betsy did my x-rays and she was very considerate when positioning me for the machine and participated in a friendly conversation which distracted me from my shoulder worries. Dr. Garten was great as well, explaining why I was experiencing the pains in my heel and shoulder and telling me what I could do to help avoid and alleviate the pain, including a few weeks of physical therapy. He diagnosed my shoulder as impingement and let me know that it was fixable which was a relief. For the ladies who may decide to visit Paragon, lemme warn you... Dr. Garten is a little bit of a hottie. He makes a lot of direct eye contact and his baby blues are hypnotic. It was all I could do not to giggle while he was talking to me. But I did a great job of keeping myself together, and I hope you do too. Prior to my visit, I had to cancel and reschedule because of the recent snow in Atlanta, and Paragon was quick to respond. I also had an insurance question about my visit that I handled via email, and received a quick response for that as well. If you call and get the voice mail, leave a message because they'll call you back fairly quickly or the next day. You'll have to pay for parking to visit Paragon. It's located in the Northwest Medical Offices (inside the west building with the big W on the side). The parking isn't expensive at $2 for up to 30 min and $3 for up to 60 min. The rates go up after that, but I didn't capture how high. Overall, two thumbs up!

Due to my former job with the Atlanta Hawks and Thrashers, Dr. Hoadley sent me to Dr. Garten. Finding the place wasn't hard, and it's in one of the nicest housing areas of Atlanta you'll see (West Paces Ferry Rd). Parking was a breeze (you will pay $5 to park), and then his office was in the West Tower on the 2nd Floor (there is also an East Tower). Walking in, I found the office space to be very clean and seemed to be very new. Maybe it was just all the modern furniture. I was the only one there (must have been the first patient at 9AM), and got checked in right away. The front desk lady was very nice. It wasn't long before I was called back and waited. I had handed the lady my MRI cd and notes, and she had me wait while Dr. Garten reviewed it. I certainly didn't mind the 10 minute wait or so. Walking in, Dr. Garten was very friendly and I just loved his demeanor. I went over a brief history of my running, and he had me hop up on the table and lie down. It took him literally three minutes to hit the pain points. He mentioned he reviewed my MRI and went over what was ailing me, but had wanted to check the spots first. It was SUCH a relief to hear. It was more a relief to hear that my injury wouldn't require surgery, and that a steroid pack plus PT should resolve it. Even better, someone in his family had the same injury as mine, so he referred to a PT that could handle it. I'm certainly a happy customer, b/c of the service I received and also the immediate result of knowing what was wrong. I would refer Dr. Garten to anybody. Great bedside manner and accurate diagnosis.

He proceeded to tell me that I "must get the vaccine" simply because I'm a member of the community. I offered to discuss other clinically proven effective options and he replied that he could "see where this was going," as he was assuming I didn't have anything else to do with my day other than to schedule an appointment with him to argue about Covid. He even proceeded to tell me that people like me make his head spin. He even claimed that he is not my doctor when I told him I came in to have a discussion about this with my doctor. He was very unpleasant and physically incapable of completing thoughts or speaking rationally once he learned i didn't want to take the Covid vaccine. Never met Dr. Puppala. Didn't talk to anyone about my problem. But was given appointments for TFESI what is that 2 one week apart. And as I scheduled for both they change the location after I had made arrangements for ride all 4 times.Just for them to cancel. But what really is something once again I failed another test.NO WAY. If they aren't contaminating the specimen there they are being contaminated at the lab. But I do know I don't abuse drugs never have never will. I take all my medicines the way they were prescribe. But from the beginning they tried pushing that SPINAL CORD STIMULATOR telling me the injection wouldn't do me any good mind you they schedule them. Then Ms. Audra tells me the doctor said will no longer write anymore pain meds if I don't do it. I've had 3 failed back surgeries. 12 surgeries on my body in all. Top it off I was given a referral the first visit to see a shrink. I found this out as I was checking out. She didn't mention it. Again she and since I never met the doctor. I ask and received a copy of my MRI. And notice that the contrast that they need to see in depth said the uneventful administration of intravenous contrast. WHAT? No one mention it and since it's the doctor job to go over imaging he never did. Never saw him. Never heard of such in all tests, MRIs, CTScans, Ultra sounds, Xrays and Blood work and believe me I've had plenty. Every doctor as always gone over every test but this one. And they make sure they give you weakest form of meds so you are in pain. Not everyone out here is abusing drugs or addicts. And I understand the Opiod epidemic. I know too many that has lost their lives. But I also know for myself after going through this for over 18yrs and have done and follow everything my doctors had advised. And as I read over my MRI and looking up the medical words I don't understand my back is in bad shape. I have everything that cries out pain. So he knows I not making up the pain I'm in And he also the meds that he prescribe went from a 8mg for 30 days to 4 then 2. To him I'm a dollar sign. And that Stimulater cost as much as one of my fusions. I don't want another cut on my body. Don't want anything implanted in my body that sends electric shock to my brain. And the cost that's another thing. BIG BUCKS. for doctors. I can't afford. And he don't have to write another pain script. He is right and I'll never go back again. And I will do my homework when choosing the next doctor.
