The first time I went in the store the woman was very pleasant, but admitted she was somewhat new & still learning some things. In our conversation, I asked if they had a builder's discount, she said she didn't know, but she would have to find out, but her boss wasn't there, she assured me she would call me when she found out (no one ever called). I went back a few weeks later to again look at flooring & spoke with the same woman. I again asked her if they had the builders discount at which time she excused herself went to speak with another woman and came back and told me, no they did not. The ironic thing was the time before when I was in the store, there was a Realtor in the store (who I learned from an employee does several homes - maybe fix & flips) - I don't know. And I hear them discussing her discounts. Not only do we own a company that builds custom homes, but I'm also a licensed real estate agent. So the independent agent gets a flooring discount, but the builder/agent doesn't get a discount There seems to be an issue with flooring stores in Colorado Springs, so I am going elsewhere. I truly thought this "might be the one", sadly it is not.

Their manner was top-notch professional and they produced a bid/quote that was very very reasonable and had sufficient details to put together an accurate estimate. The manager of our project was Khris and he knows his stuff. This was the best decision we made in the entire project. The flooring is the highlight of the whole remodel. This outfit has very good skills at doing almost anything related to floors. They partnered with some carpet installers and they were also excellent. I think their best expertise is in the wood, however. They have several skilled craftsmen (and women) they work with that all are outstanding, including Gary and J R and others. Having a number of tradesmen, they can accomplish alot in a very short time. Our biggest floor, the main floor, had only wood and they accomplished it in two days. We have already asked them to come back and help us with a few other floor-related projects in our rental property that we had not initially planned on, but feel we would like to take advantage of their expertise. I would absolutely recommend this company to anybody in Colorado needed flooring; you probably cannot go wrong!

I had a small issue with my fridge leaking water on the floor right after install (old fridge with copper water line), I called them up and they came back out to help pull part of the floor they just installed, then later that week (once the floor was dry) they re installed the kitchen flooring without any extra cost. CG'S Flooring & Design was one of the only flooring places that came in and did a thorough…read moreassessment and provided a very reasonable quote. We asked for a mid-grade carpet with a pet proof padding. The flooring team, which consisted of two guys, came in and knocked out the whole first floor in two days. But there is a problem with a seam in our Livingroom, (see attached pictures). We pointed the seam problem out the very first day and they had the installer re-do the seam. The installer was /is very talented, and the seam did seem less noticeable, but I think there is only so much he could do. There seems to be a slight difference between the two carpets seamed together, a slight color or texture difference, maybe a variation in the grade of carpet - but the seem is still quite noticeable and there actually seems to be either a slight separation or hole forming between the two carpets. I have tried reaching out to CG'S Flooring & Design, even texted pictures of the carpet, but no one ever got back to me. We like the carpet and the installers did a very competent job, but this seam is just so noticeable and really detracts from an otherwise excellent floor - making it the primary reason why I only gave them three stars...

These photos are of my bathroom tile where no one will step up to redo this train wreck quality job. I'm so disgusted by the work and the lack of concern that this is their name on this project.

Troy guided us through the…read morecabinet choices and layout, we chose Knotty Walnut Natural with Bigcreek doors and they are stunning. Troy's crew were coordinated and remained "on time" throughout the project (don't underestimate the importance of this). As with any remodeling project, it's the details that make the difference. Troy has worked in all aspects of home building and even had his own cabinet shop at one point. Having someone that has finish carpentry experience is invaluable; those folks have a higher standard. We will always give Troy a call for any further projects.

They…read moreremoved tile in entry hall, sanded and refinished existing oak flooring in kitchen and dining area, changing the color to match the much lighter color that I chose for the family room, entry hall and dining room, and feathered the new floor into the existing wood flooring in kitchen. Dan listened well, did exactly what I asked, and he and Doug went above and beyond to minimize the mess that taking out a tile floor creates. David was very patient and helpful during the color selection, even though I was very anxious about making that decision, and he did a great job of staining in the custom color that I chose. The crew was very careful to leave no damage. The price was competitive. There were a couple of boards that I wasn't happy with and the problem was resolved to my satisfaction without my having to insist. Pryor really cares about customer service. I will definitely use them again in the future for any hardwood project.
