I've gone there 3x in 6 years for my 10% insurance reduction. The instructors are great. James Fox has been my instructor the last 2 x and he is such a nice guy. No need to feel intimidated there & time flies. You get a 10 min break in about 1 & 1/2 hours into the class,then a 1/2 Hour for lunch/dinner & you can choose whether you want the 2nd break or no,or if want class to end a little earlier. It's so great for people to go every 3 years like I do to remind you of al, the driving laws you have forgotten or all the laws you never knew. To me,it's too exciting ! But if you do that it'll be the Self-harmory rather than the Armory. The Connecticut Street Armory has a lot of scary ghost stories about it, and one of my extended family members was actually murdered here while on active service. For this reason I want to give it a low star rating, but it's just such a beautiful and old and classical building, that it's hard not to give it a 5. It takes up an entire city block, and it's the kind of amazing structure they just would not build these days. Sometimes in some cases in some ways, the old ways are better, and in terms of buildings this Armory proves that is the truth.

High on the West side by Connecticut and Niagara is a fortress looking building. That's this one. If you drive by on weekends you will often see reservists in the area, I think they do training or other exercises here. But other times, it gets rented out, for parties, rock concerts, wedding receptions or whatever else you may want. Its a super cool venue for whatever event, the caterers that Ive experienced have been quite tasty. Ive seen a few concerts there, it can get very dark and personal for those. If you go to the observation deck at City Hall, you will see this structure. It stands out. As far as I have experienced, parking is street. If there's a lot, I'm not aware of it.
