Appliances are just like any other apartment, there is no pool, the clubhouse is only open during business hours without special arrangements. Floor surfaces similar to any other complex. They do an awful job of maintaining the storm water pond on the property. If you complain about a noisy or rude neighbor they ignore it until several complaints are made. The "playground" consists of a couple of cornhole sets, and they put in a couple of charcoal grills which maybe 20% of the residents use. I don't understand the "luxury" claim. This is only the bad news. The worse news is they will raise your rent somewhere between 5 and 12% EVERY time your lease renews, which is yearly, since they no longer offer 18 month leases. Your income status is meaningless to them. They raised my rent 17% over three years, and they knew I was on a fixed income, as are many of the other residents. Their process seems to be to raise rents until someone is forced to leave, then bring in new tenants at the higher rate, and the process starts all over again. The worst part is, they are putting up new apartments in both Queen Anne and Talbots counties. If you are on a fixed income, be prepared to move in a few years, unless you can withstand regular rent increases with no increase in amenities. Renter beware!

When I went to get my deposit back I was told I'd be receiving a portion of it and two months later I received a bill for an additional $1900. They drummed up bogus charges for things they replace as policy already. I thought I had a good relationship with them, until I moved. In the two years I lived there it has employed 3 different managers. The handy men are great though I must say. Brian and Bell are the best. It's expensive and not worth the price. I would not recommend living there.

Bryan (the estimator) and I had a Facetime call where I showed him everything to be moved and explained the very long carry distance (over 300' and an elevator) from my Condo to the truck loading dock. Bryan said the entire move could be done in a day, but we choose to split the move to two days which turned out to be the smart choice. I got estimates from 2 other movers and A-One's estimate was in the middle of the 3 companies, and I felt it was the most accurate estimate due to using Facetime and really taking time to ask comprehensive questions. On load day, the crew arrived and immediately started to haul boxes. Every item (boxes, sofa, bureaus, etc.) were hand carried out of the apartment. I asked why and they said using a dolly or cart could scratch the hardwood floors or damage carpeting and they didn't want to have that happen which I really appreciated. The team of 5 (Bob the driver) and 4 always courteous guys were in constant motion. Everyone was just awesome, taking great care of all of our stuff and also being extra careful about the Condo. After the Condo was empty, I left Fairfax about 20 minutes before the A-One truck and team. 12/29 was a Bay Bridge High Wind Day causing massive delays for all of us to get to Chester (Kent Island). The next morning, the truck and team arrived at the scheduled time and had us unloaded and set-up in 3 hours - again, all hand carried. Fortunately, at my new home, it was a short carry distance, but there were now a 2nd floor loft and bedrooms where the team had to carry many boxes and heavy furniture upstairs. Bottom line, the final bill was a couple of hundred dollars less than the estimate I received. I was very happy with the cost, and this was the best move experience we have ever had. As the team was leaving, they told me that they also offer tiny moving services, meaning if you want to move furniture from one room to another or just re-arrange it, they are available. I don't expect to move again anytime soon but I do anticipate using A-One for a tiny move in the near future. I highly recommend A-One Moving & Storage.

The movers and staff members are incredibly professional, efficient, and well priced. Furthermore, it is apparent that the moving staff enjoy working with each other, while taking the job seriously. Their interactions and camaraderie added levity to a difficult task for me and my husband (which was to downsize a household of 20-yrs)!! While I cannot mention all the highlights, I will say they moved a baby grand piano to the second floor of our new house. I gave them the choice of leaving it on the first floor (because the move looked difficult). After 25 years and two moves, her favorite piece now had cracked paint and paint chipped After having my now-deceased Mom's cabinet shipped 1500 miles here to Delaware, I had a difficult time finding someone to restore it. There was no one in central Delaware. Fortunately I found Leonard. This was far from a normal restoration job. While he and his paint company researched and scanned one of the drawers to match the color, he sanded the pieces. He carefully applied primer, then coats of paint, and then glaze. He repaired the wooden drawer supports and even placed felt under, the legs of the top piece to prevent scratching. We are so grateful for the job that Leonard did. The piece is now a family heirloom that we can pass down to our daughter. No one could have done a better job. Thank you.
