Honestly this is the best barber shop on the Island. From the tools, your hair cut, shave, and even the price. My first time coming in I had asked for a combe over & shave. I had told him I judge really hard about how my hair is cut. He told me "I guarantee you this will be the best cut you will ever have in your life, and if you don't like it don't pay me. As soon as he started I noticed all his tools where properly sanitized, his buzzer didn't pull my hair, and the shave that I got was like topping the cake with a cherry. He first warmed my face up with a freshly clean hot towel, then after that rubbed my face with 3 different chemicals, then went on shaving my face with his costum Russian built straight edge razor. I sh!+ you not it's a shaving experience that is undescribable. Not one cut nor razor burn on my face. Smooth as butter I tell you. The price $27 for this experience but I paid $40. I'm telling you this right now I'm coming from roslyn heights getting my hair cut from D's and Manny ' s barber shop both are good and expensive but still dose not beat steve's barber shop. read more

I've been a loyal customer at this shop for over two years, always booking with Steve, the owner, because of his skill and consistency. Unfortunately, my most recent visit fell far short of expectations. I made an appointment specifically with Steve, but upon arrival, I was assigned to a barber I'd never seen before--without any prior notice. The haircut itself was poorly executed: my fade was uneven, with chunks of hair taken out instead of a clean blend, and I was even nicked by the straight razor at the end. I understand that new barbers need opportunities to learn, but as a paying client, I should have been informed before being handed off to someone else--especially when I booked with the owner directly. The lack of communication and the quality of the cut were unacceptable for a shop of this reputation. I'm hoping the owner will address this, as I'd like to continue supporting the business. However, until I see better consistency, I can't confidently recommend this experience read more

I love Steve's. His place is clean, neat, and up-to-date. Everybody working there are genuine, articulate people. You can tell he only hires professionals to work the other chairs. I usually get my hair cut by Roman; he remembers what I like and is absolutely personable. -Whoever cuts my hair at Steve's does a phenomenal job. They take their time with my hair and beard and that's important to me. They care about how you look. Always good vibes when I walk into this place. Never a wait. I see that they're great with children, and possess a positive rapport with all of their customers. Where can I start with this place?! It is one of the best barber shops I've been to. The space is well thought out, from the eclectic art on the walls, half hollowed-out barrel magazine rack, to the fun clock and super friendly Barber shop. However there was no decrease in the quality, and prolly more time spent than necessary. he gave me one of the better cuts I've ever had. She took her time and made sure my cut was perfect. he even waited around while my fool self headed to the ATM to address their cash only policy. Best hair cut in town. I had the same barber for the last 12 years, until a friend referred me to Steve's. I am very particular about my hair, but after getting one hair cut from Steve I decided to make this my new spot. Never a long wait, best fades around, and always has the games on tv while you wait. His attention to detail is outstanding. The hours are great, open 7 days a week. Such a great barber shop! A friend recently recommended Steve to me and I decided to give him a try on short notice. The wait was not very long at all and the haircut was much faster than ive been used to at other places, yet my haircut came out just as good if not better than any other haircut I've ever gotten despite taking half the time! .... Steve's beard shaping and line up skills are garbage. Maybe he was drunk idk, but after he lined up my beard it was crooked and misshaped. This resulted in me having to go home and fix it myself. He also rushed and didn't even take his time. Not to mention how rough and irritated my skin was after. He didn't even put on after shave. I will not return. read more

Came here for the first time today and it was great. Steve closes at 7 and I called at 6:55 and asked if he'd stay open so I could get my haircut really quick and he stayed open later for me which was really convenient.
