This is an update to a review I left on 6/13/22. I'm…read moresharing my family's experience with Bobby Coil, owner of B&B Handyman Pros, located on 612 Morton Street, Peoria, IL 61603. My parent's home needed to be renovated and I searched for contractors in the area. Unfortunately, most of them weren't available until next year, and I needed someone who could start soon. During the renovation, my parents moved in with me (I live in St. Augustine, FL) until their home was finished. That's when I found Bobby Coil. He was great at the beginning - he was able to start asap, he said he had experience working with long-distance clients, and he was very responsive. He quoted $4,000 to replace the floor, paint the interior, replace the bathroom, and kitchen, and replace the back door. He was great at keeping us up-to-date with everything he was doing - sending us pictures, etc. He would contact me a few times a day, every day. He said that he just started his business so he would appreciate it if we left a positive review for him, which I gladly did. As for payment method, he would only accept CashApp/Paypal at the time which was annoying as they have a limit of what you can send so I had to do several, and I got flagged for fraud and I had to verify with Paypal, etc. We asked if he could accept a money order/cashier check so he would get his money and he was fine with that. There was extra work that came up during the renovation, so he requested that we pay him more than the original bid, which was fine. So in total, we paid him $7,000. We placed online orders at Lowe's so he could pick them up or we could have them delivered. Our relationship was great. Then on Friday, July 22nd, 2022, he texts me that he had a mild heat stroke so he will be out of commission for a while. I told him that he should take care of himself and we'll stay in touch. My boyfriend, my daughter, and I were away on vacation for a week. On August 1st, 2022, I text to check on how he was doing, and no response. Then I called him and I received an automated message that the number is no longer in service. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. I thought maybe because he said he would be out of commission that he decided to disconnect his number, but if that was the case he should have let us know beforehand. I didn't have an email address so I wrote him a letter and sent it certified. I received status updates from USPS to let me know when it was delivered. I received a notification from USPS that it was signed for and left with the individual yesterday, Friday, August 13, 2022 around 4pm EST. I immediately receive a call from a number that I didn't recognize. I was on my way to pick up my daughter from daycare so I couldn't answer it and they left a voicemail. Well, it was from Bobby's wife and she began the message with - "I'm so sorry, but I have no idea where he is. He disappeared." I COULD NOT believe what I was hearing. I immediately had my boyfriend call her back and according to her story, he overdraft her account by $600 and just disappeared. He said he was going for a walk and never came back. She said she has been getting calls and messages from other people that already paid him, but he never showed up to do the job. We apologized to her and felt bad that she was going through this, and explained that we will have to notify the police as he scammed us. He hasn't finished what he promised and I have copies of our contract, a paper trail of our payments to him, etc. I hope he can be found so we can get some of my parent's money back. They are retired and live on their Social Security so they don't have that much money and I feel so horrible for them. Bobby's wife said he might be at his parent's house, but isn't sure. We told her that we will stay in touch in case we need anything. I have never ever been scammed and hope this can be resolved legally.

After recommendation from a friend, we stopped into the store. Verlissa, the designer, helped us…read more We had already picked out tile for the bathroom of our bedroom., so she helped us from there. Planning went well and they scheduled to start after Thanksgiving. Mike, the builder, did most of the work. His work is pretty good. I would rate it a B. He could have worked to cover our bedroom furniture from dust, and cover the floor better, but it was not horrible. The company did not charge us for all of they drywall that was replaced, but I was told it was easier to replace it all rather than try to patch in with what was left of the old stuff. Their painter botched the job. He did not clean the roller of lint and left a huge amount of lint all over the newly replaced walls. He came and repainted, and still only did a mediocre job. We paid $100 more for it to be painted again to do another coat to fix his mess, and to change color (our choice). The painter did not cover all the walls well so they sent someone out again. Overall: *Verlissa was very good and was a strong communicator. *Mike's work was pretty good- we would use him again. *The painter - poor- all three times he came. *Time: While we were annoyed by the last parts of the job getting done, the main part of the job got done quickly. They should have followed-up and finished the repaint more quickly. *Cost- we are not really sure. This was our first remodel job. We feel we got a fair price.

They replaced the shower, vanity counter tops, and flooring. They installed new vanity lighting and painted the walls and woodwork. From design to implementation to final touch ups, this turn-key project was perfect! KBA took care of measuring, procuring, transporting, and installing the materials. This included a custom glass shower door that is absolutely beautiful! I highly recommend Verlissa and her team! Don't be confused!
