Why the change in price!!!!!!! From $60:00 to $225 does not make sense. It's one thing to need to go up but that much really!!!!!!

This clinic has never let us down. Everyone is so kind from the front desk, to the vet techs, to the doctors. They're quick to respond if you bring in an emergency and are great about recommending specialists to follow up with. They're extremely gentle and sweet with Tootie, my geriatric cantankerous chi-weenie, who tends to be a butt-munch. The docs are also very thorough when they do examinations. Our other dog, Jax, has required sedation during grooming/nail trims, but not here. They had no problems. These guys are the best! I recommend them to all of our friends and family! read more

I had to have my fur baby that I had for 6 years and the love of my life, put to sleep. I was totally unfamiliar with the process as I had not experienced it before. The people at Stewart Animal Clinic are the BEST! I was guided through the whole process and once the time came, the way the whole thing was handled could not have been done any better. I moved to the warrior area earlier this year and have taken my dog here twice for vaccines and for a dental procedure. Both times, the staff has been so sweet and the Dr's are very patient and answer any questions I may have. I am picky on where I take my boy and I am glad I ignored the reviews here. The words I come up with to describe how amazing the team at Stewart Animal Clinic is all seem inadequate. My husband and I recently moved to the area and hadn't yet chosen a vet for our 20 month old Cane Corso/Neapolitan Mastiff puppy when we had an emergency. We were seen quickly and could instantly tell they were genuinely concerned not just about our baby's well being but ours, too. It was a rough, emotional 24 hours that ended with surgery but our boy is on the road to recovery. read more

My daughter took our six month old cat to this vet for what turned out to be a blockage. He was given surgery to correct it and they treated him for a fever with ice packs placed on his body. Next the day we where told at lunchtime he had a slight raspy sound in his breathing they needed to monitor him til the end of day. That afternoon we were advised to take him to the E. R. for overnight observation. He didn't make it. He died at the E. R. three hours after we arrived from pneumonia and fluid in the lungs. We went in for not eating due to a blockage and ended up with the loss of a family member. read more

Very quick appointments I called and was able to bring my cat in for an appointment 30 minutes after I hung up. Very nice. Very fair priced. I had to put my cat down and they were very thoughtful of our feelings. read more

We will not take any animals back to this vet. They are now affiliated with a corporate organization and care about the money. We took our dog there Saturday extremely ill and instead of treating her with antibiotics ...the female vet insisted she must go to Hoover for 4000 dollar surgery. We waited until Monday to see an honest veterinarian. They were appalled that she was treated this way and not even given antibiotics. It was unnecessary and thank God we didn't spend 4000 grand ..she had surgery for 300 bucks Monday morning and is great . I will never go here again. This is not the same place it once was. This vet, well DR Stewart; only one I can a speak for is an amazing vet!!! I don't know if he has retired or not. He saved my small dog's life when vet in Gardendale said he needed to be put to sleep...that was about 30 years ago. read more

I got my dog exrayed and they told me that he had a big object in his stomach I went to the vet hospital like they said and they said there was not any big object in his belly so idk what to think about goin there or not thanks they are nice tho read more

Wonderful Staff who really cares about our dogs... even saw my best friends dog in a emergency during Christmas.

I've avoided posting this experience for a week, but it's time. These people don't care about anything but the almighty dollar. We came in on a Saturday because my wife's dog was acting very lethargic. We were there 1-1/2 hrs before the posted closing time and we knew we would wait some since we didn't have an appointment, but we were regular customers and felt like that should account for something. After waiting for over an hour, we were told indirectly by a tech from the back, "I was told to tell you that we aren't going to be able to Xray your dog because we've already turned the machine off"!!! I work in a radiology Dept (albeit for humans), but I know these machines don't have to 'heat up' to take an image. We were then told that we'd need to go elsewhere to have our dog examined or pay to have an emergent visit!!! Emergent!?!? We were there for an hour before this BS came up. We will NEVER... NEVER be back here, & we will tell anyone that asks to steer clear of this business. read more

Taking my animals here was a pleasure. I no longer have my sweet dog Bootsie, but Stewart ALWAYS took such good care of him and the staff was pleasant as well. I know they are know in the area for horses and cattle but they give just the same amount of love to small ones too! read more

We have used Stewart Animal Clinic for all 4 of dogs. The know our babies by name every time we have to visit and treat them like their own. I definitely recommend them if you live in the area! read more

I took our dog for a bath & nails trimmed this morning around 8:15. I was told he had shots due but I told the ladies at front desk he already had his shots at another clinic close by. She said she would call the other clinic to make sure he was up to date & I told her just to call me if she found out he needed any others shots. Also they said they would call me when he was ready to be picked up after his bath. After no call my husband went to pick him up & was told our dog needed shots & we could not get him until they gave them. He explained he was up to date on shots but she told him she would call the other clinic & if they were not given we could not get our dog without vaccines. Well she found out he was up to date on all his shots. She was rude and due to her attitude we will never go back there. Also they had cut one of his nails to close to the cuticle and you could tell it had bled. read more

We had to rush our sweet 15 year old daschund there for a failing heart. The care and compassion we received was overwhelmingly heart felt.

My wife took our pet rabbit to Stewart Animal clinic today. The lady at the front desk was less than friendly. When she asked what she could help my wife with she looked at her like she had two heads. My wife informed her that our rabbit had some kind of ear infection and she replied rudely that they do not treat rabbits. She asked my wife why would she not call before hand to see if they treat rabbits. After my wife was put off by the rude woman she told her she will never bring back any of her animals when the lady the rudely replied that that's ok we see plenty of animals. I guess my wife's assumption about the place being an "animal" clinic was wrong. Will not be going back. read more

I was suggested this vet clinic by many friends and family when I moved back to Gardendale. It's a little far from my house (15-20 minutes) but with 3 dogs and a cat, it's important to have a place you enjoy going. The customer service here is top notch. They always help me get all of my animals in to be seen and back out to the car when we are finished. The ladies at the front desk are great with scheduling and the techs always help me figure out which products are the best for me. Really glad I chose to go here even though it is out of the way. read more
