I am extremely disappointed with the care my daughter received during her dermatology appointment…read more After being referred to this office from her primary care physician, I expressed concerns about a spot on my daughter's skin that we believed required further evaluation. Unfortunately, the appointment was extremely brief, and the dermatologist barely examined the area before making a diagnosis. Despite my concerns, the dermatologist dismissed them, diagnosed the spot as a viral infection, and advised us that it would resolve with the use of an over-the-counter medication typically used to treat acne. No biopsy or additional testing was recommended, and I left the appointment feeling that neither my concerns nor my daughter's condition had been properly evaluated. Because both my daughter's primary care physician and I continued to be concerned, I sought a second opinion from another dermatologist office. During that visit, the physician stated that she did not agree with the original diagnosis of a viral infection and recommended a biopsy. After the biopsy results were reviewed, I was contacted and informed that the remaining portion of the lesion needed to be surgically removed. This experience has been extremely upsetting and frustrating. Had I relied solely on the original diagnosis and treatment plan, my daughter's condition may have gone untreated, potentially leading to more serious consequences. It is deeply concerning that such a quick diagnosis was made without a thorough examination or consideration of my concerns as her mother. I believe a parents concerns deserve to be heard and taken seriously, and I expected a careful and comprehensive evaluation. I hope this complaint prompts a review of the care that was provided and reinforces the importance of taking the time to perform an appropriate examination and to listen to the concerns of patients and their primary care physicians. No parent should have to seek a second opinion simply because they feel their concerns were dismissed.

Be aware when they book your appointment, usually through an answering service out of Newnan,--they overbooked so get ready to wait an hour past the scheduled appointment time. With 1 dermatology Doctor and 1 PA, it's inevitable. In my case, that even goes with a scheduled injection of Dupixent, which is usually administer by a nurse. Anyway, I'm done with them. So much money wasted and a lot of suffering endured. And no amount of reviews-- about how nice they are--means anything when you're suffering with little results from treatment. I first saw him many years ago when I had a spot of my nose that would bleed when I washed my face. He saw me quickly, said what it was and that it needed to be removed before it was more of a problem. He and his staff coordinated with providers and helped me navigate the whole thing. Since then, I've seen him for many small concerns (moles, etc.) and his aesthetic staff is awesome! Melissa takes great care of my skin with regular microdermabrasion, chemical peels and products. Definitely recommend these lovely folks!
