I went here with a client of mine so that they could close on their house. In the transaction they…read morewere the seller for the house. When you are selling/buying a house, the buyer is supposed to find and pay for the attorney and all of their fees. This was the first time that I have ever had an attorney state that they needed the seller to come out of their own pocket for expenses. They sent us an email with a bunch of the closing paperwork a couple weeks ahead of time asking that the seller print them out, sign, and have them notarized, then mail the packet back to them. I know it is a nominal expense of maybe $10 or so, but still, not the sellers responsibility. I guess it is a great option if the seller isn't going to be present at the closing, and is out of town, or just doesn't want to run into their ex. But if the seller states that they want to be present at closing, so that they can also pick up their check the same day, there is no need to have the paperwork done ahead of time. After my client did their first batch of papers having them signed, notarized, and mailed back, we got another email for more paperwork to do the same. I reached back out to the attorneys office and asked them can't they just do all that paperwork at the office during closing? They replied back that they didn't need the originals back, but a scan would do. I let them know that since they have notaries in the office we would just do it with them. I wasn't trying to be mean, but I wasn't a fan of having a bunch of paperwork signed out there in case the lending fell through, or the buyer changed their mind the day of the walk through. I will say that Sam in the office was great. She put up with all of my emails, and phones to make sure the deal went through. She did have a great attitude the entire time. #490

It's a good time to refinance. 2. Both our primary mortgage provider and the other parties involved made a number of clerical and other mistakes. We rescheduled the closing twice; today was our third calendar appointment to make the closing. 3. Had it not been for Linnie and Brandy we would be looking for a fourth (and potentially further) rescheduling. They stepped in, tracked down all of the documents, called in favors and got it done. 4. I've worked in finance and read a lot of legal documents, the way in which Linnie stepped through the documentation during the closing was very useful and very clear. 5.
