STAY AWAY! Slumlord is incompetent and place was gross and dirty on move in. Dishwasher fills with black water. After several maintenance requests for months to treat cicada killers nothing gets done. The one time i saw someone come (yesterday) he had a phone to take pictures and did NOTHING.

The closed mailboxes shown here are the only ones with functioning lock. This is consistent throughout Landover Apartments

Update: Since writing this review and emailing management they've responded and called to see if…read morethey can fix anything. Most of my problems aren't things that could be fixed and they have flat out told me that they will not replace the stove and have no plans to so I've given up on that, but at least you feel that they really genuinely do care and want to accommodate you in whatever ways possible. Have called maintenance since then for a door that wouldn't latch and they have been incredibly quick. One of the greatest things about these apartments is they're very quick to respond and fix what needs to be fixed. Great for people who may not be too handy or have a lot of time to fix things yourself! UPDATE: Someone was cleaning the stove top while it was off and was shocked. Maintenance was called and claimed it was because we sprayed cleaner on the surface and that happens. Not only is this oven/stove an inconvenience it is dangerous but never mind that. It's our fault for spraying all purpose cleaner on it. Could be worse.... After living here for a few months I have mostly bad things to say. The ladies who work in the office are wonderful and one or two of the maintenance people as well. The apartment is a decent price for a two bedroom. If you live on the first floor you will have spiders galore as the windows are ancient and level with the ground making it very convenient for the bugs to get in. The appliances are ANCIENT at least in the unit I am in and they will not replaced unless they break and are unable to be fixed. The stove appears to be something my grandmother may have used when she was young. The oven takes 25+ minutes to heat up to 400 and the electric range is absolutely awful. The water has leaked from the apartment above into mine several times. The most annoying thing of all is the creaky floors in apartment above. I can hear every single footstep of people and pets. The only reason to live here would be because they allow pets and many apartments in the area don't. Unlike with the other two reviews I've never seen dog excrement anywhere in the grass. If you don't have a pet you may be better off somewhere else. This is my first apartment and I am a student with a small budget so it's okay for me but if you have a family and a busy life the issues you'll experience here are not worth it. (Love the gym and the pool though! Great amenities)

Being on 1st floor and handicap in a wheelchair they refused to tell me what was going on upstairs. The office staff was great when I first moved in but changed to all new staff. That's when everything changed. Don't ever move to Waldon Pond apartments. The first part was cut off. The maintenance man lied about my son living with me. He only came during day to take care of me. I am in a wheelchair and can't walk without a rollater or something to hold onto. The assistant manager gave me such a hard time and still is. PLEASE don't move there or you will be sorry!!!!!!

My student will be moving in August, so this review is about the leasing staff/application process…read more- as most agents are, they were very friendly when we visited. We were drawn to the community b/c of the appearance, location and a special offering (3) months free rent. We mentioned that deal to the agent, along with the planned move-in date and she confirmed that it would be offered. My student and (2) others applied, were accepted, and my student called the agent to ask a couple of questions (we were in my car at the time so I heard the conversation). Again, the agent confirmed that the offer would be available for (3) months - upon receiving the lease to sign, we wanted to see that offer included on the lease, so we began what turned into a week-long attempt to contact (2) of the leasing staff (who added their phone numbers to the lease e-mail along the typical "please call with any questions"). Zero response to multiple e-mails and voicemails - I finally reached the original agent we spoke to when we visited and she was short and rude, explaining that the offer was only if move-in was by a certain date. I reminded her of our visit and the phone conversation with my student, and she denied both. I've read very good reviews about the complex in general and the management staff, so I'm hoping to write a better review in the future. I would encourage anyone going through the application process to demand everything outside the lease in writing - not much can be done about the ridiculous lack of communication, so, if possible, go in person.

We had countless issues while living here…read more On move in day we were given keys and told that they were pouring our parking lot for our building. There were 5-6 units all with movers using one stairwell. Our unit was on the opposite end of the building from the stairwell we had to use and the time was adding up quickly. We had to halt our movers, take over the uhaul agreement and move in on another day. The property manager later came by and said the fire marshall was doing final checks and to make it like we were in the unit yet. After living here a few months it didn't get better. We had banging pipes they had to cut holes in the wall to address, windows leaking and mold on most all the windows. They offered a dehumidifier to "address" the issue, but wouldn't do anything further. Supposedly a new company has taken over, but it's still the same build from the previous contractor and you couldn't pay me to live in these.

However, management cannot…read morekeep up with simple maintenance requests as I believe they only have one maintenance man from the looks of it. You could never get in touch with an actual human being via the phone, but had to submit everything via the portal. The ceilings/floors are paper thin and the clientele that is somehow managing to afford $1500 a month is a large number of inconsiderate students whose parents are likely paying for their way. Myself and other adult residents who chose his apartment complex chose it because we assumed it would be more middle-age individuals who had careers, but this would be a virtually impossible place to work out of it working from home due to the noise. Living on the bottom floor, you can constantly hear stomping, thumping, and all forms of shouting of the F bomb at all hours of the day and into the early morning hours. This is not just regular apartment living trials, it is a complete lack of guidance and screening by management. Also, all package deliveries have recently started being delivered to a common hallway at the front entrance where packages have been stolen and misplaced.
