I just started renting an apartment with Brownstone and I was so pleased with their customer service and how understanding they are!

Gorgeous. 3. Cool little things in my apartment, like my kitchen is so cozy & cute, I love the layout and my patio. 4. Tons of room. TONS. I am in a 3 bed. 5. Close to EVERYTHING! I love having a fresh market so close! 6. Staff has been nothing but helpful & kind. Amber is the best! Grateful. Cons: 1. Literally mold everywhere. Everyyyyywhere. EVERYWHERE. Especially on the windows & showers. I'm having to bleach my entire apartment, front to top. Which sucks because I have cats & one of them has major skin issues. 2. Dust - laid on thick on top of my kitchen cabinets & tops of shower - so basically you'll have to do your own deep cleaning before you move in. 3. Neighbors can be super loud & rude (even during the day), kids running and screaming up and down the stairs sometimes for hours. 4. AC works overtime during the day. Doesn't usually get cooler than 78 in my apartment during the day. Bring fans. 5. The whole exterior of my building needs a refresh. Just a fresh coat of paint. 6. Trees desperately need to be trimmed, especially the ones in the parking lots that are over our cars. Lots of rotten branches. 7. Very VERY squeaky floors. I feel bad for my downstairs neighbors! I know the cons look scary, but once you get all your work done in your home things are so cozy & comfortable. Excited to see what unfolds in this community!

Being on 1st floor and handicap in a wheelchair they refused to tell me what was going on upstairs. The office staff was great when I first moved in but changed to all new staff. That's when everything changed. Don't ever move to Waldon Pond apartments. The first part was cut off. The maintenance man lied about my son living with me. He only came during day to take care of me. I am in a wheelchair and can't walk without a rollater or something to hold onto. The assistant manager gave me such a hard time and still is. PLEASE don't move there or you will be sorry!!!!!!

My husband, daughter and I moved into the Grand Vistas 3 bedroom apartment with a solarium in March…read more2013. I can't believe we've been here 4 years and we're not ready to move again, or even looking any longer! My husband talks with the maintenance guys when he's walking the dog and we always find the office staff helpful and friendly. There are some great community-building activities that are put on, resident appreciation events, and community service opportunities. It's a great place! It's "affordable" - about the same as our previous home, which we owned. It's really lovely and we've been able to decorate and furnish just like we did in our house. I imagine if we want to get our security deposit back (should we decide to leave), we'll need to take the "furnishings" off the walls! We also rented a garage which comes with an external parking space as well so we always know where to park and we're leaving more space available for others. The pool was converted to a salt water pool two years ago and that's been really nice as I'm sensitive to chlorine gas. And it's cleaner!

My experience living in the Grand Vistas is one I would never want to experience again. The layout…read moreof the apartment was ok, however the appliances were outdated as well as the flooring and carpet. The apartment directly across in a shared entryway left garbage piled up outside their door, smoked right outside my door, partied right outside my door all of which are against the rules. I brought this to the attention of management and nothing was done about it. This went on for over six months, including drug use. They also had two aggressive dogs which were not always on a leash. I continued to let management know about this, but still nothing was done. I did not feel safe to leave my apartment. I had to pay an early buyout fee to terminate my lease.

My student will be moving in August, so this review is about the leasing staff/application process…read more- as most agents are, they were very friendly when we visited. We were drawn to the community b/c of the appearance, location and a special offering (3) months free rent. We mentioned that deal to the agent, along with the planned move-in date and she confirmed that it would be offered. My student and (2) others applied, were accepted, and my student called the agent to ask a couple of questions (we were in my car at the time so I heard the conversation). Again, the agent confirmed that the offer would be available for (3) months - upon receiving the lease to sign, we wanted to see that offer included on the lease, so we began what turned into a week-long attempt to contact (2) of the leasing staff (who added their phone numbers to the lease e-mail along the typical "please call with any questions"). Zero response to multiple e-mails and voicemails - I finally reached the original agent we spoke to when we visited and she was short and rude, explaining that the offer was only if move-in was by a certain date. I reminded her of our visit and the phone conversation with my student, and she denied both. I've read very good reviews about the complex in general and the management staff, so I'm hoping to write a better review in the future. I would encourage anyone going through the application process to demand everything outside the lease in writing - not much can be done about the ridiculous lack of communication, so, if possible, go in person.

We had countless issues while living here…read more On move in day we were given keys and told that they were pouring our parking lot for our building. There were 5-6 units all with movers using one stairwell. Our unit was on the opposite end of the building from the stairwell we had to use and the time was adding up quickly. We had to halt our movers, take over the uhaul agreement and move in on another day. The property manager later came by and said the fire marshall was doing final checks and to make it like we were in the unit yet. After living here a few months it didn't get better. We had banging pipes they had to cut holes in the wall to address, windows leaking and mold on most all the windows. They offered a dehumidifier to "address" the issue, but wouldn't do anything further. Supposedly a new company has taken over, but it's still the same build from the previous contractor and you couldn't pay me to live in these.

These apartments have beautiful finishes and could truly be amazing. However, management cannot…read morekeep up with simple maintenance requests as I believe they only have one maintenance man from the looks of it. You could never get in touch with an actual human being via the phone, but had to submit everything via the portal. The ceilings/floors are paper thin and the clientele that is somehow managing to afford $1500 a month is a large number of inconsiderate students whose parents are likely paying for their way. Myself and other adult residents who chose his apartment complex chose it because we assumed it would be more middle-age individuals who had careers, but this would be a virtually impossible place to work out of it working from home due to the noise. Living on the bottom floor, you can constantly hear stomping, thumping, and all forms of shouting of the F bomb at all hours of the day and into the early morning hours. This is not just regular apartment living trials, it is a complete lack of guidance and screening by management. Also, all package deliveries have recently started being delivered to a common hallway at the front entrance where packages have been stolen and misplaced.
