I was a patient at this practice for about 8 years. I'll preface by saying for the most part, my…read moremedical care and the medical staff were good. However, the front office staff and office policies have not been a good experience. I recently moved out of state and attempted to access my records via the patient portal and could not access them. Per an email request, I received a phone call saying I could complete a form for my new physician (I've already done this) and if I wanted my records I could PAY A FEE for them to be provided via CD. I have two overwhelming concerns: 1) I and/or my insurance company have paid through the nose for medical care for the past 8 years; and 2) who uses CDs anymore-- new computers don't come with a CD drive! What century are you in? Everything is cloud-based now and precisely why I should be able to access my records via the portal. As an example, I can access my Emory and Mayo Clinic records today (some are over 2 decades old and others over a decade old). This is a terrible business practice and nothing but a MONEY MAKER for this practice. I'm hugely disappointed in this nonsensical practice. And, I would also be concerned about a medical office SNAIL MAILING private, medical records. Isn't this a HIPAA privacy concern?

This practice has a lot of great reviews and I want to share my experience in case it helps…read moresomeone. In January 2025 I made an appointment for the earliest new patient appointment, which was in June 2025. I decided to wait for the appointment because I really appreciated the philosophy found on the website and definitely liked the glowing reviews. I had positive interactions with all staff I encountered and the clinic was clean and bright. The provider I met with suspected a new problem/diagnosis and so started a work up with labs and imaging. Clinic staff did follow up with me once labs resulted out and referred me to a specialist. The ordered imaging was performed ~2 weeks after my new patient appt but I never received follow up, from the NP or anyone else at Ponce Primary Care re: the imaging results. It has now been ~3 months since my last communication, specific to my care, with anyone in this office. I decided to reach out to discuss the standard of care, which I felt to be lacking. Dr. Chad Costley did return my call within an hour or so and he did verbalize disappointment with my situation. He assured me that my experience is unfortunately the exception to their typical patient experience. I was informed that the NP I had been assigned to was "only part-time and here less than a month". I did not ever receive any communication from Ponce Primary Care to notify me that my assigned provider was departing or to invite me to call to schedule with another provider for seamless continuity of care. I was told that my imaging results were never sent by the imaging facility I went to and that "this is where the wheels came off". That is absolutely possible but it was also not confirmed to be true at the time of the statement. The report not being in the patient chart does not mean it was never received by the ordering office or sent to the ordering provider. Sometimes things get scanned and assigned incorrectly, or not scanned at all. Lots of possibilities there. To me, that shows a lack of accountability for not holding a supervisory review of a departing provider's caseload/EMR task list and it also fails to consider that an out-of-state fax number associated with the ordering provider could be the problem. I waited 6 months for a new patient appointment and, whatever the circumstances, was lost in the shuffle. I will not be continuing with this practice, although I'm sure they have many satisfied patients as evidenced by their overall rating. My advice if you wish to establish/continue care here: Be able to advocate for yourself and for your own healthcare. Be knowledgeable about when to follow up on your care in case the practice doesn't. If the wait is still 6 months out for a new patient appointment when you try to schedule, do not think an extra special or VIP experience awaits you - realize that they just might be too busy to accept new patients.

I wanted to give 5 stars... HOWEVER, I have been calling the office for 3 DAYS STRAIGHT, with NO ANSWER OR RETURN CALL!!! 1. I get CONSTANT recordings that tell me I'm 1st in line. Then states I'm third in line. Then tells me I'm 2nd in line...no one EVER, EVER answers! OR, I am re-routed to another office where a man answers. I have pushed every button for every option on the recording!! And NO ONE ANSWERS!!!!!!!! 2. I have 2 phone numbers to Gresham Dental that NEVER ANSWER! If this is a staffing problem, something SERIOUSLY NEEDS TO CHANGE!!! 3. I am CONSTANTLY transferred to the EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT'S recording!! Where I leave DETAILED messages...to no avail! She DOES NOT CALL ME BACK!! I have stayed on hold for HOURS attempting to get through! 4. The recording tells me to leave a call back number. I did. NO CALL BACK FOR 3 DAYS!!! 5. After 2 HOURS ON HOLD today, I was again re-routed to a guy who finally said Gresham was CLOSED Today!! What??? No one thought to leave that on a recording??? 6. Prompt phone attendance is CRITICAL to EVERY medical facility. Anytime you have phones THAT CANNOT BE ANSWERED AT ALL, SOMETHING IS CRITICALLY WRONG!!!! 7. I've even had two doctors prescribe antidepressants and assure me all my symptoms were stemming from my thoughts. I now think they were so misguided and misguiding. I heard about Dr. Owen at Whole Family Medicine from a coworker who had been through the same ordeal as I. She said Dr. Owen was the one who pinpointed the issue and set her onto a road of recovery. With some hope that I scraped from the bottom of the barrel, in regards to doctors, I went to see Dr. Owen. I wept on the sofa in her office and laid it all out there. She took a deep breath and began that day to set me on my road to recovery! I'm feeling better every day under her care. She understands my apprehensions with western medicine and works around that. She finds the treatments that I am comfortable doing. She has a very optimistic attitude and a matter of fact way about her that makes me feel safe. But... personality aside (I've had several personality plus doctors who had no clue about healing people) Dr. Owen KNOWS HER STUFF! And...if she doesn't know something she will figure it out. She is open to all sorts of treatments and doesn't judge or cringe when a patient brings in their own idea of treatment. Like she said the first time I met her, " If the crud on the bottom of a pond heals you and makes you feel better, then take the crud off the bottom of the pond!!! I don't need to know how it works but that it works!" She doesn't judge her patients. She actually has compassion for them and is curious about these treatments we want to try. I know. I'm one of them. There is a difference between a doctor who practices medicine and a doctor who practices healing. She is the latter. I'm thankful every day for this woman.

I waiting about 6 months for an…read moreappointment to establish myself as a new patient with Dr. Murray- that's fine - I've heard of longer wait times to see a good doctor and I was in no rush. And honestly, I wanted a doctor I could relate to so a black female doctor or NP with raving reviews is my preference. The day before my appointment I found it odd I didn't receive a text/phone call reminder that my appointment was coming up so I called the office. The lady told me I didn't have a scheduled appointment and transferred me to another lady that could possibly help me - I'm upset - but willing to see what they can do. She lets me know they recently merged and I wasn't in the system blah blah blah ... but she could reschedule my appointment. She took all my information and set up my portal. In the back on my mind I was like I hope I don't have to wait another 6 months ... so I ask about scheduling ... she's like we can see you tomorrow due to the inconvenience we will overbook to see you. I was like wow - great service recovery. Unfortunately I couldn't do the next day, but she allowed me the flexibility I needed and I was scheduled for the next week. So... appointment day. I walk from the Decatur train station - 5 minutes! I arrive at 930 thinking my appointment is at 945. Nope. I get to the counter and she's like my appointment is at 1130 and they'll see what they can do - If I could wait around. I'm a little annoyed, but decided to stick around. After I finish my paperwork - my name is called ( maybe a 10 minute wait). I'm like oh okay ... but thinking I'll probably just be in the exam room forever waiting. I eventually make it back to the exam room and chat with the nurse - the basics. About 10-15 minutes later ... Dr. Murray comes in. We had the basics doctor- patient convo she heard my concerns and ways I wanted to improve my health. Offered to do a physical - I'm like wonderful. She's does the physical. We have another chat and I'm done. Dr. Murray was very attentive and gave me the time I needed. The appointment wasn't rushed. I wasn't over talked or under talked. I felt she was respectful of my time and overall felt she was worth the 6 month wait. She also informed me now that I am an established patient they have same day appointments if needed. overall, a few hiccups, but great service recovery and appointment.

Since he left and Emory has taken over, this office is become a nightmare. I don't see a doctor anymore; I see a PA. This would be fine except that she (Ahmadi) speaks to me like I'm a first grader, ordered a test without being truthful with me about why she was ordering it, and writes scripts incorrectly. She writes my six month script to expire exactly six months from the day I see her. This means that if I had a week or two left on the previous script or if the pharmacy is having trouble keeping my medicine stocked that the last month in my six month script expires before I can fill it and is now unavailable. When I call to try to resolve this issue, I don't get the office anymore- I get a switchboard operator. Recently, I waited on hold forever (where they tell me to hang up use the patient portal- the third patient portal system I've had to switch to since being there) and then, when I finally get a person on the line, it's a receptionist for Emory (not the office) who schedules me an appointment for the end of the week to get my refill. However, the next day the office calls and tells me that Ahmadi is out all week and, not only will she not be answering my request on the portal, but they are rescheduling my appointment for another three weeks from now. This means that I will have to go a month without the script that I need and have been taking, without problem, for years. I can't get anyone with any kind of medical degree to answer me, just a receptionist who tells me to wait. It's infuriating. No one treats you like a human and problems with a very simple solution are ignored until someone feels like addressing it.
