This is a tuff one to review. First off giving a review on a roof when its only been a handful of months seems too early but ill try. Working with the office manager was a pleasure. Working with the owner was OK. I got 3 bids and Stewart roofing was the lowest but there is a catch that you'll need to consider. Stewart's bid doesn't include Ice and Water shield. It wasnt on the bid as an option either. The others did include it. When i inquired about this i was informed it wasn't necessary. I did some research and 99% of other companies i checked with said its important. Im scratching my head at this point. I had somewhat of a working relationship with Stewart (they did a previous repair which went great) so i took Richard's word cause of his longevity in the career. I asked a lot of questions and they finally gave a cost to do it which i should of accepted but thought it was too high so i didn't. Im a bit concerned about that but only time will tell. The roof seems fine for the most part. Im not an expert. The job went fine with a couple hiccups. I struggled with leaving a review considering my concerns but here i am. Overall my experience was pretty good so im giving a 4 star. read more

Not sure how to rate this one! Communication with the office manager and owner was good (with the exception of a no show/no call to do the job on the day/week it was originally scheduled). Price - it was the most expensive bid out of the five I got, and unlike the others, it didn't include any sheets of replacement plywood in the price. However, they agreed to include 5 pieces at no additional charge. One of my neighbors spoke very highly of them, and that's why I decided to use them. Attention to detail and clean up - clean up around the yard was fine, but could have been better. I had to clean up after them. A couple pieces of plywood had to be replaced over the garage. I wish I could have been informed about how messy that portion would be so that I could cover items in the garage, most importantly the garage door tracks which got filled with debris. A couple issues arose after the installation. On the first rainy day, water was coming down around my furnace vent and leaking into the garage. On the first windy day, I found a couple pieces of chimney flashing blown on my patio and on the roof. Thankfully, they didn't hit someone. They were quick to come out and address those issues. When I hired for this job, I was aware of 3 sheets of plywood that would definitely need to be replaced...two over the garage and one over the bathrooms. I even informed them of these known pieces. When the job was completed, they informed me that they had to replace 7 boards. I trusted them and didn't question it. Had someone go up in my attic the other week, and the obviously damaged sheet of plywood over the bathrooms had not been replaced. So, now I question if 7 boards were actually replaced. I could walk around the attic and check, but I won't. The job was completed very fast, about four hours. read more

What started as a few drips from the attic into the bathroom ceiling in May '22 became a substantial leak in October '22. I reached out to Stewart Roofing in late October and Tim went above and beyond - walking me through how to wrap our chimney to make sure that wasn't the source of the issues, and getting us hooked up with Joe for an assessment. With winter approaching, I was so worried about the standing water above our bathroom ceiling in the attic and possibly having serious water damage. Joe was fabulous! He walked me through a few issues we had, gave me some best guesses as to the source of the water, and offered a couple of solutions to fix the problem. We ended up replacing the entire back half of the roof in mid-November and the leak hasn't been an issue since then. The installation team was a pleasure to work with, very polite and professional and did an excellent job cleaning up. I honestly cannot even put into words the amount of stress that it has lifted off my shoulders not having to worry if the ceiling is going to leak/cave in every time we have heavy rains. From the first phone call I made to the follow up after installation everyone has been a JOY to work with. I am an insurance agent. One of my senior female customers got a notice from the carrier regarding her roof from a 'drive by' inspection. Stewart Roofing had replaced her roof about 14 years ago and did a quick inspection of it to appease the insurer. Rick then sent me an email stating that the roof has at least 5 more serviceable years. In my profession I have a need for folks who do repairs on homes. All I want is honesty and a fair price. Ten months after purchasing our new home, we had the unlucky circumstance of a roof leak. It was in our master bathroom and had burst through drywall, so we quickly called some companies. A few were too busy at that time of year (hmmm)... Mears Roofing came out the very next day, and one of the other busy companies recommended Stewart Roofing. Both Mears and Stewart were quick, friendly, and competent. They had similar directives for us to fix the leak around our skylight. Although Mears came out a day or two earlier, we ultimately went with Stewart because they were more affordable. In addition, they came out to do the repair on a Sunday morning (!!) which was amazing and unexpected - now we could start our week knowing it was done, and we would not come home to a water-filled bathroom. If there are any issues with the leak going forward, I'll be sure to update here, but as long as there's no update - so far so good! read more

I called Stewart roofing and they quickly setup an appointment to inspect a leak on my roof. The technician showed up on time and he was very polite. He quickly identified the leak coming from my skylight. He said it was a simple five minute fix with pushing back in the seal. He corrected it right away. It is good to deal with a company that is honest and did not try to sell me a roof I did not need. I would recommend Stewart roofing . read more

We needed our torch down flat roof replaced and it was hard trying to find a company that stills does torch down. Stewart Roofing offered the lowest price and did a wonderful job. I want to thank Stewart Roofing, Rick, Jaquelyn, Tim, Joe, Chris and his work crew also the gentleman who delivered the supplies, he maneuvered the trailer into a tight spot with ease, I was very impressed. My interactions with each of them was professional, courteous, conscientious and considerate when working with and helping me figure out my needs I had to get my roof repaired and changing out my deck cover. Chris even came out one more time before the job started when I asked him to go over all that was going to be done. Their patience was also appreciated, as I am one who likes to ask a lot of questions to understand what all is going on. Each question or concern I had was respectfully explained to a point of making sure I understood and my question was answered. They were all pleasant to work with. With the cost of lumber fluctuating so much, they made sure I got the best price of the current costs. The work crew was efficient, working non stop. 2007 - Stewart Roofing did our entire reroofing project - OSB and everything. EXCELLENT JOB! Took two days to remove old roof and plywood and add new. Fast forward to now (2018). We had a leak by a bathroom vent pipe. I called, and they sent someone out within two hours! It was quickly fixed and the price was perfect for the fix (and lightening fast service!)! During one of our most recent rainageddons, the flashing around my plumbing vent started leaking. I was referred to Steward Roofing, and when I called, Tim, even while SUPER busy with other projects, took the time to talk with me to troubleshoot. He asked all the probing questions to hone in on my issue, and when I sent him the video I took of the leak, he was quick to send it to his tech and get me on the schedule. Their tech literally called me within an hour and said he could squeeze me in between another job. He came out and fixed my flashing. Rick scheduled our roof replacement quickly, after wind damage had threatened the integrity of several sections of our roof. Living in an area prone to 70-mph winds, we decided on a heavy, high-end roof with high-wind nailing procedures, and special wind-protection at the edges. The crew worked tirelessly to get it all done in less than three days, then cleaned the yard. Nary a nail left! Great job, much appreciated, and the price was thousands less than other roofers' estimates. Could NOT be more pleased. read more

I would give Stewart Roofing 1,000 stars if I could. I had my roof replaced by them 4 years ago and recently had what I thought was a leak. I called and spoke with Tim, he sent out Joe in a matter of just a few hours. Joe came out and he wasn't able to figure out what was causing the problem at first but he didn't leave until he thoroughly checked it out and gave me all kinds of good advice as to what the problem was and on what to do next. It turns out the problem was my heater. Tim and Joe both were so amazing. Joe left me his card and was able to talk my heater guys through the problem as well. I think it's safe to say Tim and Joe saved our lives. Every time I've talked to Tim, he's been nothing short of amazing and full of great information and advice. I can't thank Stewart Roofing enough for all they have done! I don't know if we did a review after they did the roof also but it might be useful to mention we also had them do a torch down roof and their price was the best out of the estimates we got. Stewart has not yet done any actual roof work for us but they performed an inspection on a house we are under contract to buy. Our initial home inspector was concerned about the roof and recommended we have a roofing company do a further evaluation. My wife and I called many, many roofers. One was unavailable on our short timeline, and the others either didn't want to perform inspections ("call us when you know you need work done") or just never returned calls. Stewart was very helpful in explaining the difference between a roofing certification and an inspection and was able to squeeze us in same day. We were not able to attend the inspection (our agent stood in for us), but the owner of the company followed up with us to provide his own detailed report which matches what our agent told us. Unfortunately the roof does seem to need to be replaced, but the quote came in lower than expected. More importantly, Stewart told us that they were fairly confident they recognized the shingles and there was a high chance the roof is still under warranty with the shingle manufacturer. What a great tip! I'll be sure to update the review if we end up using them to replace the roof, but the fact that they not only returned our phone calls when so few companies bothered, but provided an indepth explanation to answer all of our questions and fit us in for a same day inspection on a tight timeline says a great deal about their customer service. I'd highly recommend starting with them if you need a roof looked at. read more

Very very nice folks. We used their service to repair the leeks in the very old roof of our house. An engineer came out, finished the job quickly and cleanly. Price was reasonable and the person was courteous. He recommended getting the roof re-done completely within a couple of years since it was getting really old. Through a year and a half since then, they have been occasionally checking in, never pushing, but politely asking if we made up our minds and they were interested in the business. I own a duplex in Fife and they replaced part of the roof that had been water damaged due to insufficient downspout that original builder failed to install. I had a very bad experience with a previous contractor who installed my exhaust fan on my roof. When it rained outside, it also rained in my bathroom through the exhaust system, creating ceiling damage in my newly remodeled bathroom! Needless to say I was extremely upset and no longer wanted to deal with the contractor who initially installed it, as his fix the second time was not a fix at all (duct tape and plastic over the cap on my roof). I looked on Angie's list in desperation to find a new contractor, because it was scheduled to rain all week, which would only create more damage. I contacted Stewart Roofing, and spoke with Tim and explained my plight, he was very empathetic. Tim was extremely professional, and helpful, and super informative. They came out the very next day and fixed my roof, replacing the cap, and adding the flashing that the last contractor failed to install. They did an awesome job! The roof is exactly as it should be. It rained last night, and my bathroom remained dry. It was certainly more than fair value for the money.
