I found out, as the judge was reading my sentence, that I also had probation with jail time (waived if I completed an alcohol awareness course) Very poor communication by the attorney that represented me. Do not recommend. Cost $2800 + $500 in fees to the city of Painesville, + extra cash for an alcohol awareness course.

I decided to look around for an attorney to represent me, so I did not have to drive 3 hours to appear in court and hopefully reduce the fine and avoid any points. I have not had a ticket in about 10 years, so this should be an easy task and save me a couple of 3 hour drives. The lawyer fee was $400. I figured if the fine was reduced by half and I avoided points it would be worth it, so I hired Dale Naticchia. They were extremely responsive and repeatedly assured me they would fight hard for what was best for me and that I would be very happy! I heard back today that my violation was reduced to a faulty equipment violation and I was avoiding any points. The catch here, they managed increase the fine. I now owed $335. My $200 speeding ticket cost me $735. Don't waste your time on a lawyer, at least not this one.
