I found the Believe it or not to be moderately interesting, but for an 8 year old it was not. She likes interactive things and this attraction is mostly reading about the phenomenon. Only when I read her some of the descriptions was she interested, but mostly not. So, I give it 3 stars because it is suitable for older kids who have the interest and patience to do a lot of reading.

At the end of the show, I could hear someone taking about how good the show was and how they couldn't believe it was free. This did not happen at this theatre but it could if they continue with not checking tickets. I recommend this place for good plays and good drinks.

They truly made the experience memorable, and I would highly recommend seeing them. Unfortunately, the venue was experiencing air conditioning issues during a Texas summer. Handing out small paper fans wasn't enough to keep the audience comfortable in the heat. Because I was trying to stay hydrated, I ended up missing a large portion of the concert with multiple restroom breaks. It's disappointing that attendees weren't notified of the air conditioning issue beforehand or given the opportunity to reschedule. Knowing the conditions in advance would have allowed guests to make an informed decision. I would absolutely recommend the Candlelight Concert series because the musicians are exceptional. However, I would encourage attending at a different venue where the audience can comfortably enjoy the performance from beginning to end.

This was our second museum visit of the summer while my sister is staying with me. I feel like they've added so many new exhibits since my last visit, or maybe I just rushed through everything back then. This time, I really took my time reading about the artwork and exhibits, and it made the experience so much more fascinating. Each floor had its own unique collections and displays to explore. My favorite part was the Chinese vases exhibit. I don't remember seeing it before, and it was incredibly interesting. It was something completely new to me and definitely stood out during the visit. It was a little warm inside, but nothing that took away from the overall experience. The staff was very friendly and welcoming, and we had a wonderful time. I definitely plan on bringing my other sisters here in the future. Highly recommend checking it out, especially on the free admission days!

In some areas, it felt as though the artwork had simply been placed around the museum rather than organized in a way that told a cohesive story. There are definitely worthwhile pieces to see, but I think the museum could benefit from stronger curation and a more intentional flow between exhibits. Mexican Culture is so prevalent in San Antonio and I think it is so important to really explore and appreciate it. There is so much rich history and this institute does a beautiful job showcasing it. Standing at the Crossroad: Robert Johnson in San Antonio 1936 This exhibit was researched and put together by Margaret Moser. Margaret is originally from SA but made her mark (and is kinda famous) in the Austin music scene. SA is blessed to have her back in town. She is one of the founders of Tex-Pop (and also South-Pop aka South Austin Culture Center in Austin). Margaret takes you on a time line with Robert Johnson's SA history along with many myths of this legendary musician... Let's call him the Godfather of the Blues! Did he sell his soul to the devil? ... or is the myth confused with Tommy Johnson who also said that he sold his soul to the devil?... Things that make you go hummm... The only known recordings of Robert Johnson were cut in San Antonio in 1936 at Gunter Hotel and Dallas in 1937. A sculpture garden surrounds the museum so there's plenty of areas to stroll and take photos. This museum resides in a gorgeous 1920s Spanish colonial revival residence built by Marion McNay. The building itself is art with its wood detailing, arches, and intricate tile ceilings and floors. The actual art collection consisted of over 20,000 items, but only some are displayed and occasionally on rotation. The collection embodied European and American art of the nineteenth century, twentieth, and twenty first centuries. Sooo much to see- paintings, special exhibits, vase collection, Angelica Raquel Mystic Threads, sculptures, and a lovely garden/pond/fountain containing koi. The museum has a gift shop, restrooms, and a special collection of art displayed by many artistic school children. My new found artist I discovered here was Carl Rice Embery. A pure Texan, his art was amazing ! Initially I thought the pieces were photographs, but up close they are actual paintings. That's how realistic they are. Simple Texan scenery. We had a great time and would definitely come back!

But, when standing near the parking garage area, in the shadows of the tower, it gives off a much more sad vibe. The area is an empty cement covered desolate and remote feeling location. The sound of the cars speeding by on the raised interstate gives a monotonous din that quickly gives a headache. The area also feels like a good place to experience a mugging...or worse.

There's also a sweet covered picnic area to relax or have a small party. Peaceful and a nice retreat. A small art building resides in the park containing a gallery of a particular artist. We thoroughly enjoyed the colorful exhibit. Forgot to mention there's an outdoor sculpture garden next to Ruby City. Super cool! Must check out. Highly recommend this place for art lovers !
