Though financially strapped, we both pulled all our assets together and hired a private attorney. Slowly, we both realized that this was not working out. So we asked very close friends and family, that we trusted, as to what to do. They advised us to seek other counsel. One friend specifically told us what to look for in an attorney. So again, we prayed. Then we went searching the internet for that type of attorney(based on reviews, awards, etc). And what a blessing. This attorney is beyond what we imagined: fee is reasonable, provides detailed zoom consultation, extremely knowledgeable about the law, very detailed in what steps he and your family member needed to take, provided your family member with a contract and detailed instructions, and is very professional. Atty. Krulikas, provided us with continuous updates, and immediately answered all emails sent to him, and kept us updated non-stop. He prepared my family member for trial, detailing the worst outcome to the best outcome. Based on what he told us, we were completely satisfied that he had looked very closely at the case, and had prepared it thoroughly. Even though we were terrified, we knew God had placed my family member in excellent hands, those of Atty. Krulikas. We got to court for trial, and Atty. Krulikas, though he had other clients, kept going to them as well as us with updates, non-stop. He was extremely professional with his behavior during the entire time, and wasted no time working on all his cases. Blake Spale charged me $3500 for a misdemeanor case. On the second court date, yes you read that right, the second court date, I came to court and he allowed the DA to blindside me with a trial that day. We were not ready, had not received discovery, nor a chance to produce any witnesses. So much for due process at Shotwell Law Group! Just before being taking to the holding cell, I asked the deputy to petition the court for a "trial de novo", legally vacating the conviction and sentence. Be very very careful with Blake Spale, he can come off as outgoing and trustworthy but he's a true snake in the grass. These charges related to a case where I was actually the victim of physical and civil harm. The alleged witness in the case ADMITTED on the stand the racially harassing me. In November I emailed Blake asking him to produce an affidavit swearing that he was a witness to that testimony. Attached is the email he responded with. After he got his balance of $3000, he of course disappeared like a ghost in the wind! p.s. I originally had wrote a review but not nearly as detailed but he saw me in person and pressured me to remove the review. Also, he claims to have motioned for a continuance in the case but feel free to check my eCourt file, there is no such motion.

But that typical lawyer attitude doesn't do it for me. Not paying thousands of dollars to have to treat me like a child. When I told him it wasn't going to work, he called my phone over and over to the point where I had to block his number. Update: if there is anything you want to judge before using this lawyer; look at his response to negative reviews, he can't handle them so he puts people's business on front street.
