Only 1 of the 4 in sports medicine even got a real job in the field. In the hip/knee class, only the young, white males got jobs with companies like Smith and Nephew, DePuy Synthes, etc. Those jobs pay salaries and bonuses over 6 figures. The other guys over 35 took 1099 jobs or ended up back in their old careers within 18 months. Being a 1099 rep, is not a real job for what you spend at MSC because you can get that without the benefit of a certificate from MSC. This school is very slick with the marketing, but that placement rate only works for those folks on the graduate testimonial page. And really...only those in the big name companies are going to make that 6 figure mark in the first 2 years on the job. Choose wisely. You'd be better off going to surgical tech training, working in the ER for 6 months and then applying to a big company. Better ROI regardless of your age/race.

Not only were they really helpful, but I discovered that Tim (the owner, I assume) does in-home one-on-one classes. It cost me I think $70 for him to come to my house and train me in adult and child CPR/AED and first aid. It would have cost me $80 to go to American Red Cross in a big group class that lasted 7 hours! They booked me right away, I ended up getting my training done two days later. I really appreciated it. I was nervous about someone coming to my house, but Tim made me feel very comfortable. He liked my dog, which was cool, and showed me just enough to help me feel ready for the exam (which was impromptu and not stressful at all) but not so much to confuse me. He let me ask as many questions as I wanted, and offered really interesting facts and details from his experiences rescuing people from the woods. I've never done a CPR training that was fun! If you are needing to get trained because your job requires it, I would say do the in-home training with Tim. It's at your convenience, and he's really wonderful, knows his stuff, and makes it as painless as possible. My ONLY complaint is that I really needed a certificate or card right away, something that says I did the training, so I could go to work that Monday. While Tim promised me I would have the note from him the same day (although not the card), I had to call and ask for it a week later, after waiting for it. We had the same issue with the paypal invoice- I wanted to make sure I had it and paid him before he arrived, but unfortunately he wasn't able to get it to me when he said he would. It's not a huge deal, and has very little to do with the actual service provided, I just think Tim is a busy person and isn't always able to get on the computer.

To be concise, the advertisement for this course stated the following, among other things: "5-day workshop with Basic flight skills, performing the job, essentials of adjusting" Sadly, "performing the job" and "essentials of adjusting" were topics not vaguely touched upon. In light of this false advertising, I feel the course was overpriced, as I could have taken a 2-day course that solely focused on passing the FAA Part 107 exam, stayed in Texas, and spent only a third of the cost. I decided to attend Mile High's class under false pretenses and Mile High was bailed out by the exceptional performance of Beau Beyer and Rob, from Telos Aerial Imaging, as instructors of the FAA exam course material. I passed my FAA exam w/ a 92% score and I believe I'll have no problem passing the FAA certificate renewal exam when I'm due to take it in 2 years due to the excellent instruction provided. Additionally, all of my classmates who sat for the FAA test passed Not nearly worth the price unless Telos Aerial Imaging is involved.

Because of the way the colleges are…read morenetworked over CCCO, I have taken classes from great professors all over the state of Colorado. I have visited two of the campuses. AND I have learned quite a lot. Community college is community college. You maybe won't get the fanciest education, but you'll learn some new skills and meet some nice people. Sure, some of the instructors are terrible, but they don't last long. Most of the instructors are quite good. And, more importantly, you can do it affordably. I have really enjoyed my last two years working through two certificate programs, and I was able to finish without any debt. I'm now transitioning into a new career that I would not have achieved without CCCS, and that's pretty great.
