I went here a while back. I specifically told the optometrist I didn't want my eyes dilated--I just wanted a check-up. I am severely near-sighted (-8.5) & when the doc looked into my eyes, he demanded my eyes be dilated because a part of my eye was so thin, he said I might have to have emergency surgery to fix it that day. After he dilated my eyes & said the thin part wasn't disconnected, the clinic happily charged me for the check-up & the dilation, which was well over $200 (I am a student--I don't have a lot of money). On top of that, the doc freaked me out because no other optometrist I'd seen had ever had such an alarming response to the shape of my eyes (I have seen optometrists fairly regularly for nearly 30 years). I later went to another optometrist in town who said that part of my eye was thin because I was so near-sighted and it was nothing to worry about. I left the Stillwater Vision Clinic feeling like I'd been cheated out of money & scared that my eyes were going to fail me. I have not since and will never return to this place. read more

I believe that there is a BIG difference between eye care and eyewear, which explains why I TRULY appreciate the staff at Stillwater Vision Clinic, who treat you like a health care provider as opposed to a glasses salesperson. The entire staff is amazing. From the time you walk into Stillwater Vision Clinic and are greeted by Lori, the Office Manager who makes you feel incredibly valued as a patient, to the eye glass technicians like Will who always give you excellent service from choosing glasses to fitting them. The most important and really great thing I love about Stillwater Vision Clinic is the excellent patient care I've received from Dr. Brian Gumm. He takes the most inordinate amount of time explaining the results of your entire eye exam. The warmth and credibility of optometrist Brian Gumm and his deep eye-care knowledge and caring staff and how they all make you feel valued is why I go back to his office regularly and recommend him to all of my friends and family. read more

I had very unpleasent experience with your customer service. I had a unique situation with my insurance coverage. Not only i tried to explain myself, but got my insurance's customer service connected through the phone to explain the situation. I think his name was John, but we called 3 times, and your customer service hang up on us in the middle of the conversation. Not only it is not professional, but also shows how much you care about your customers. Ofc I am taking my business elsewhere, but just letting others know, BEWARE. read more

I was upset that the staff ushered me in to do a laser scan my insurance would not cover, and then after the fact handed me literature to decide if I wanted to pay the extra fee for the optometrist to look the scans over. This wastes time, resources, and in my OCD mind, why go through any little medical procedure with its radiation (no matter how acute) if you don't have to? The optometrist himself was standard, nothing exceptional or lacking there. With a better staff experience (the front desk lady was upset I asked for a mail-in rebate the optometrist informed me of and didn't want to get up from her seat to look for it) and if the staff had let me make an informed decision prior to making me sit through the laser scan, it would have been a fine experience. read more

I return to Stillwater Vision Clinic because of the professional and thorough treatment I receive. The staff are all positive and efficient - no-nonsense when they need to be (e.g. eye health and vision exams), patient and informative when they need to be (e.g. discussing treatment options, frame and lens selection). I am never made to feel rushed, have all my questions answered, and am able to make informed decisions. Having acute astigmatism, some eye clinics I've been to over the years have found it challenging to accommodate this condition, leading to the frustration of multiple visits, especially for lens correction. I have taken my girls to 3 different vision care providers because we can never find quality care. I had been referred to Dr. Reynolds at Stillwater Vision Clinic, by a current, long-term patient of his that said he was absolutely amazing. I made the trip to Stillwater from Enid and was extremely pleased with the care we received. We found out that one of my girls should never have had to had glasses to begin with and the others vision dimensions were way off. I'm so glad I made the drive and will definitely be back. My son, who is 14 and I have been coming to the Stillwater Vision Clinic since Dr. Adams joined the team. Everyone who works there are very friendly and knowledgeable about their field. One of the things I like the most is that they spend the extra time with my son to make sure he finds glasses that are right for him and not just whatever the current trend might be. The prices do seems a bit high, but if you have vision insurance it is not too bad. Considering the extra care they take to make sure you have a pleasant experience it is well worth it. read more

Professional and friendly staff, patient with kids, and very helpful towards people that have never had glasses before. If I could request anything, it would be just the ability to track incoming glasses. Waiting to for a phone call just seems a bit dated, but certainly not a reason to be concerned. A+ read more
