The name has it all really. This is the community theatre of Stirling and surrounding villages.
Shows are performed in this classic old theatre by the older amateur thespians and kids alike. While obviously not at the standard of State Theatre Company shows, the pieces put on here are always full of heart and dedication from all involved. Look out for the Hills Musical Company, the Stirling Player and Youth Theatre shows. Not that I know much about it, but there's also a ballet school in the theatre that a few girls I know used to frequent.
I performed shows here with my school as a kid every year and the memories are priceless.
Another great thing about this theatre is their wealth of costumes from the numerous shows and willingness to share them. If you turn up before midday on a Saturday you can rent a costume from the Costume Room for a week or few. Well worth a look if you've got a costume party coming up and don't want to shell out 100 bucks at a regular store. read more
