Dr. Theresa is very personable and professional! I was experiencing sciatica type pain in my back, glutes and my hamstrings. The acupuncture was a pleasant surprise. I was using carts in stores in order to walk around for long periods of time. After a couple sessions I was able to walk around without needing the assistance of a cart. The massage therapists are great! Right now Dario is my fave! He definitely pays close attention and he's able to release the tension/pain in the areas that you need him to. I highly recommend Stirling Spinal for acute or chronic pain. They help me with a condition called sciatica. They are always available to get me in right away whenever I call. I have 2 opinions based on 3 experiences at this location. Had 2 great cranial-sacral sessions with Pam earlier this year. She is very caring and attentive to my needs and her cranial process was gentle yet deep and effective. I highly recommend her. I also enjoyed the friendly and supportive atmosphere here from other staff I encountered. However, what was not good here was the massage I received a several months ago with Dion. It was impossible to relax as she worked my body and skin way too fast. Like she was in a big rush. Made no adjustments either. She had no eye contact and was very cold and impersonal in her attitude.She didn't respond to anything. I asked that if she noticed anything going on with my back, to please let me know (since a massage therapist in the past picked up on a dislocated rib for me!). But no. Dion said, Oh no, I can't do that, it's not allowed, or we're not allowed. Since when don't massage therapists give feedback to a patient? Isn't that part of their job, to keep us in good health by noting anything out of the ordinary? It was also the first time I ever had a noisy massage. There were no sheets, pads or covers on the leatherette massage table, just paper. It crackled and rustled constantly in my ears and made an already bad massage even worse. Conclusion: It's a mixed bag here, depending on what service you sign up for and who your practitioner is. read more

This place is has been a terrific find for the family. When you walk in for chiropractic you go directly into therapy. They have therapy rooms with several TENs therapy stations, a rolling table and 2 hydrotherapy tables. Now that you have been dosed with quality relaxation, you get the adjustment. The office also offers acupuncture and massage to complete their holistic approach to therapy. The office is organized, well appointed (Soothing, deep tones throughout. Aromatherapy. Relaxing sounds.), and relaxing. The staff is professional and efficient. Hubby has been going here for a few months with very positive results. I can't say enough about the whole staff. Doctor Amy and Doctor Teresa make you feel as if you were the most important when you are with them. This is a family atmosphere and everyone is just the best. They greet you with a smile when you arrive and when you leave. They take your issues to heart and do all they can to accommodate you. I do not live in South Florida so my insurance back home wasn't going to cover a treatment here. I paid out of pocket using a groupon ($26) but was informed a visit similar to what I had today would be $45, which isn't so bad. The lady at the front desk was very pleasant, the doctor was running a little late and was still in and out rather quickly for being a first time patient (about an hour and half total). They put on a strong front and lead you to believe that they actually care about your well-being. They really don't, all they really want to do is over charge the insurance so that they may be able to get as much money as possible. It is because of clinics like these, that the insurance prices are sky high. Julie, One of the most crankiest people I have ever met, works the front desk at times. Be careful with her, she rolls her eyes quite a bit. She is intolerant of anything and everything. However, she allows her little girl to run rampant all throughout the clinic, annoying everyone, while she says absolutely nothing! Go figure!!! I must seem that she is probably one of the prettiest women there. However she is by far the crankiest. I have absolutely no idea why she is this way. If you sit by the front desk, just watch how she reacts to anyone's questions. She sees everyone as a fool. I think that that is pretty disrespectful. The therapy is that of a mediocre clinic. They have the facility and equipment, but do not use it to full capacity. They could do so much more for people but choose not to provide anything that is not asked of them. What a shame! I do not plan on returning to this side of health and wellness. read more

I should give this place ZERO stars. Why? BECAUSE I DON'T want anyone else to know about it! Dr. Amy and Dr. Theresa are first-rate Chiropractors, Acupuncturists, dietitions and Holistic healers. And that isn't the only good news. There are several Therapeutic Masseurs, all of whom will give you the best care than you ever had anywhere else. The receptionist is chirpy and funny, the interim therapy (electro stim, water table, traction girl is like a best friend the first time you meet her, and even the office Manager, Finance gal is easy to work with. I could write a 5-page review on this group and not touch on a fragment of the good things they do for people. I'll leave it for you to go and see for yourselves. I have been going to Stirling Spinal for almost two years now, seeking treatment after a gym injury of my back & knee. I see both Dr. Theresa & Dr. Amy, who are both so knowledgeable & truly care about getting rid of your pain. When I walked through the doors for my first visit with Dr. Theresa Carissimi at Spinal Health, I was wowed. I was greeted by the lady behind the reception desk with a beautiful welcoming smile. I looked around briefly and looked back at her... I felt like I had just walked into a Spa, the feeling of Welcome and relaxation overwhelmed me. I couldn't believe this was a Drs. office. It was more of a zen office. My first visit included x-rays, and I was so impressed when Dr. Carissimi went over them with me, it was like being in class with a thorough explanation of what's going on with my spine, what she can do, and how important our spin is with all the nerves running through it. I was truly impressed with the attention to detail she gave me. Then the treatment included all these feel good machines (electric pulses, water bed rollers, etc) that help relax the muscles before an adjustment takes place. I started seeing Dr. Samantha Boyd at Stirling Spinal after I met her at my networking group and saw how professional and knowledgeable she was,that was at least 6 or 7 or more years ago.I have lost count.I have not stopped going to the office for treatment at least once a week for my Chronic Fibro/ Arthritis /Spinal issues! Dr. Boyd, Dr. Amy and Dr.Theresa are all amazing!.It is a very relaxing atmosphere and you always feel like you are a part of the family.My entire family goes there when needed. I suffered from migraines since I was in 3rd grade. Every time I went to a doctor, I was told it was hereditary...there was not much I could do...and then I was given a ton of pills. 10 years ago, I had a mountain biking accident that aggravated my migraines to such a degree, I could barely function. At my wits end, I went to dr.amy after a friend insisted. I was skeptical of chiropractors and even more so of acupuncture, massage, etc. I walked in with a migraine that, at that point, had hit a record breaking (for me) duration of 3 weeks. I walked out ...miraculously, thankfully, unbelievably...75% better. I have never stopped going. Dr. Amy and her staff have treated me for everything from migraine prevention to knee pain to severe acid reflux. They are, after all these years, more than my doctors...they are my angels. I have been going to this office for at least 5 years. Dr Amy and Dr Theresa are the "BEST". I have been to many other offices in Broward, and i have always walked out feeling worse. I am in that office twice a week and always feel fantastic when i levee. They are not only Chiropractors but are acupuncturists and are into Holistic medicine. The office staff (Julie, Tonya and Elana) are efficient and are always ready to help. They go that extra mile! Their medical masseurs are equally as good. Very well versed in pain management. Of course I had to check on yelp to find a chiro dr (a tad obsessed?! maybe.) Anyway it was between here & another dr. they both had the same amount of reviews as well as responses. I liked the reviews here a bit better so tried it. I LOVE them! They're so sweet & nice. Genuinely happy to have you there (yes real customer service does still exist in sofl...shocking, I know!). Not only were they happy to take care of me they actually treated me with professionalism & courtesy. "Welcome to our family" was what I was told on the way out. I saw Dr. Theresa & immediately connected with her, she's genuine & down to earth. It will take a few treatments for me but for once I'm happy to go to the drs. Wait here's the bonus...after I went there I received a postcard from them welcoming me to their practice. Not only are they interested in making you feel better they actually want to make you happy in the process. Side note: the dr told me about how she went to lunch with her employees then went shopping with them, how cool is that to actually want to have lunch w/ your boss & then go shopping with her. Stiriling Spinal Health and Wellness provides comprehensive care from thorough medical diagnosis to continuous patient consultation to tailoring treatment to the patient's progress. Dr. Carissimi and Dr. Ouelette are dedicated to offering the most effective methods of care. They are regularly expanding and updating their own medical expertise in order to incorporate the chiropractor techniques that are most effective. I moved from the area in 2011 and have since visited numerous chiropractor and massage businesses. Not one has ever compared to the quality of care, range of treatment options or affordable cost. In fact, whenever I am in town visiting I ALWAYS schedule an appointment with Stirling Spinal Health and Wellness. SSHW has the most exceptional staff of masseuse. Although the staff emphasize patients sharing any adjustments to the massage to tailor the treatment, I never have to say anything. The staff seems to just read your muscles and know exactly what technique is needed to unknot and open muscles. Personally, I prefer therapy massage, but the staff offers all types: relaxing, deep tissue, therapy etc. Stirling Spinal Health and Wellness is the chiropractor office you are looking for and rarely find. I'm new in this area, moving from Atlanta recently. I'm a triple board-certified medical specialist and majored in Human anatomy in college. I can't say enough good about a very caring staff and the 'family atmosphere. About 5 or 6 yrs ago I was treated by a chiropractor with an adjustment. I had significant pain relief and was able to walk out of the office. I went back 5-6 x's to help support the result. The problem never recurred until 2 months ago with dull, aching pain in the lumbar area and radiation to the right leg to the toes. Some numbness as well on the right leg only. No pain on the left side of the vertebral column or in left leg. Pain is a 8 out of 10 being the worst. I saw Dr. Amy and was given electrical treatments to relax the muscles in the lumbar area of the back. This made the pain worse & I told the operator in the office who turned off the machine. In fact, lying on my back aggravated the dull, aching pain in my right lumbar area radiating into my rt. leg. I was then given an x-ray and Dr. Amy discussed my problems. Dr. Amy then took me into her office where I laid down on my stomach and she briefly did another procedure. Neither the electrical pad on the lumbar area or the brief procedure in Dr. Amy's office worked at all. When I left I felt just as bad( in significant pain both in the right lumbar area and with significant radiation to the right leg and down to the toes and frustrated that nothing worked.
