Worst experience ever. Brought 3 pairs of trousers for hem fixing (shortening), as well as a pair as a sample for length. Came back as attached picture. One pair was almost an inch longer! Went back to get it re-done, and the manager I spoke to was unreal. She didn't even offer a sincere apology, but continued "Everybody makes mistakes, right? Don't you, too?". I expressed displease because that's not how you talk to your customer who is wasting the time going back there. Then she called me the one with attitude, then told me to "Back off". She refused to give my money back, and told me that I wasn't welcome at "her store" any longer. So I left there feeling like I was the one who was at fault. Haha. Don't use them, guys. They'll mess with your valuable clothes, and won't claim any responsibility. Bring your business elsewhere. read more

I brought in a beaded spaghetti strapped gown to have the straps shortened. When I got fitted, the woman was in such a rush and frazzled. She made chalk marks as to where the straps would be shortened, and it appeared to be fine. She was supposed to leave the strap to be about 4 inches on each side. Instead, when I went to pick up the dress, she had removed 4 inches from each side of the dress, leaving only 1 inch straps. The dress looks ridiculous as the front and back of the dress almost now connect and there is no semblance of straps whatsoever. I was so upset as this gown was purchased to wear at a wedding and it was not what we had agreed upon. The woman came out and tried to tell me that she told me she would remove that much from each strap. This was not so, and again, being as frazzled and stressed as she was the day that I tried on the dress, she didn't communicate this to me. They did refund me the $23 that they charged me to alter the dress. For me, it's not the $23, it could have been $50. The dress no longer has the look it was supposed to have. I can not recommend their services as I'm not confident that they have the qualified people doing alterations at this location. I never do this, but I started to cry because I was so disappointed and upset that the dress was not done properly. They did the right thing to refund me, however, you can't glue on straps once they have been cut off. read more

Dawn and the ladies here rescued my mum's dress and mine. My "matron of honour" dress was botched by another business trying to rush and make an excessive buck and Dawn and the ladies transformed my "almost ruined" dress into what the bride and I envisioned. I can't thank them enough. It was done promptly, at a great cost, and they were respectful to what we were needing. This hands down is the WORST service I have ever received in my life. The manager, Dawn Lloyd should be and will be fired if I have anything to do with it. This store NEEDS to be shut down and replaced with people who actually know how to alter a dress. If you're incapable of doing a job, you should tell the customer prior to them waiting over a week for nothing to be altered when I specifically indicated a deadline as to when the dress needed to be complete. Not only that, they were charging me well over $100 for a job they couldn't even perform. DO NOT GET ANYTHING ALTERED HERE. the manager is a low class individual who should NOT be working in retail. I wish I could give stitch it less than a star. I went to stitch it on a Monday to have my wedding dress altered, when I arrived an employee with green hair approached me completely sobbing and barely maintaining composure. She informed me a customer was "rude" to her. I advised her to take a moment before speaking with me (as clearly my wedding dress is important) which she ignored and proceeded to try to serve me through tears and snot. completely unprofessional. She told me I would need to come back the next day as the head seamstress would be there. I specifically informed her that I work until 6pm and would that be okay, to which she replied yes. I returned the next day and was informed by our green haired wreck that the head seamstress was not there but that she could "try" to see what she could do. She had me put on my dress, and proceeded to call her boss. I stood in my dress for 20 minutes while she spoke on the phone and was then informed I had to come back yet again. I returned on Thursday evening (now my third visit) and was informed by the head seamstress that it is their policy to not alter lace dresses. This is information that should have been provided to me the very first day if it is policy. I will never go back to stitch it again. Completely unprofessional. read more
