Every now and then , I like to review my prior feedback. While doing so, I also like to scan other comments left by others. In total, I have had a few tickets represented by Stites that spanned, maybe, 3-5 years. All I know is that when I received a traffic ticket in past, whether I am right or wrong, in terms of what led to the ticket, I would immediately reach out to Stites. To me ( and you have to decide yourself), you can just plead guilty and pay your fine and deal with any insurance aftermaths, points, etc, later. To me it was worth giving them the opportunity to see if there is anything that they can do in your favor, instead of letting a traffic ticket just roll over you like there's nothing you can do. If you messed up or not, in my experience, Stites will still 'fight' for you, whether it takes months or years - - -it's worth the value. If you're not interested, don't call them. Regardless, If you lose, you pay an additional fine and your insurance may rise. For me, I'm fine giving a few bucks to this firm to fight every inch to get a favorable decision for me with any ticket. Besides that, I'm wishing everyone good health and a positive year. Another disappointed customer. The lawyer Steven Stites called me personally and then assured me it was most likely he could win the case. He said he knew the judge and even the crooked cop, and so I went with his assurance. Steven Stites lost the case; he let me down. The price seemed cheap but now I have points on my license and I know that I should've paid more for a more dedicated lawyer who should've looked deeper into the case and had better communication. Tried to call / text / email their office 100x after they told me they would let me know my options. (Specifically tried to reach STEVEN AND HECTOR) they went right ahead, keyed in my credit card # & charged me. They have yet to respond after numerous emails, my ticket was SEVEN years old so not only did they charge me the case was lost & of course I have to pay even more money now. On their site it says clearly "We'll review your case with you and let you know what we think we can achieve. There's no risk or obligation." This was never the case for me. Total scam artists. I had a 6 point speeding ticket given to me 3 years ago. I felt it was unjust so I pleaded not guilty, but the court date kept getting postponed. Eventually I moved and the Nassau DMV wrote my old location a letter stating that I failed to appear in court, but I received no prior warning. I followed up in person and the clerk immediately offered and assumed that I pay the fine and have my points halved. I told him I wanted a fair case rescheduled. I received a few moving violations in less than 18 months which caused great concern given I drive everywhere I go. I plead not guilty hoping to give myself the opportunity to present my case. When I got to the court room I realized this was not something I should be doing without council. I asked for another date to appear it was granted. I began to research and came across Mr Stites. I left a message on Friday night and on Saturday late afternoon I received a call from him. Then again a follow up call on Monday. Can't complain. My speeding ticket was from YEARS ago, but my court date kept getting postponed year after year, and when the court date finally arrived, I was found not guilty with almost no involvement from me. I want to say that I paid $3-400 to the firm back in 2017 when it first happened, but it was worth it to me to not have to waste my time showing up in court and fighting the ticket myself, with the potential of being found guilty and having to pay fines + higher insurance premiums. The not guilty wasn't guaranteed, of course, but it was still worth it for me to not have to worry about the status of the traffic and waste a day going to traffic court myself. read more
