So we got our quote from some Representatives at the Houston Boat Show. Not knowing anything really about boat insurance, but being from the insurance industry, my first questions were kind of in-depth about the Policy wording. Instead of winging it and giving me the run around, they had one of their adjusters call me directly to answer all of my very annoying questions and he did it with perfection. The policy covers a lot of things you wouldn't think about. They even cover part of your fishing tournament entry if you can't make it because of an emergency. We called a few other insurance agencies for quotes. All was much more expensive and seemed we were going to get tangled up in the even of a claim. I feel pretty relaxed knowing that we have Charter as our Agent. They are backed by JG Gallagher brokerage and deal with very high rated insurers such as XL Catlin and Markel.

They cover things like if the boat is damaged while trailering etc. In boat insurance you can't just shop price they are not all equal. I want my asset protected. My sales agent was Allie Hyder and she went way beyond to make this the easiest insurance purchase ever. She is super friendly and always in a great mood. I could not have asked for anyone better. This may sound like I'm advertising but we saved a little over $100 after switching lol. Plus their customer service is great they call to remind you a week prior to your payment is due (because my husband doesn't believe in banking) and will ask if you'd like a courtesy call the day before as well because they don't want to seem like they are harassing you. I can definitely appreciate that because I will easily forget. So for all of the work they put in to customer service they get 4 stars.!!! YAY!!

I have called and explained to them many times that I cannot go back and forth because I work full time and I need a transportation to my job and back. They have been making excuses for the past 3 days and everytime someone answers the phone they are RUDE and will NOT TRY to help me. Even when I try to cancel they refuse to do it over the phone even when I have explained to them that I do not have a car and cannot go to their office to fill out a cancelation form. Do not waste your time here. They will tiptoe around everything so that they don't have to pay.
