Update: After 6 months of driving a car that we thought was financed, Stockton Auto World REPOSESSED our car and would not refund us for our down payment OR our car payments that we had been making to a finance company. The finance company pulled the loan back for whatever reason that Stockton Auto World did not give them the info they needed, or gave them incorrect info about us for a loan. They did not offer to help or get us into another loan. I had to bug them, call upper management and open a law suit. Til this day it has been 4 months since they repossessed my car and I got back all the payments I made to the finance company. At first they sent the payments back to Stockton Auto World and they tried to have me sign the check over to them because "I drove the car for 6 months" and I said no. I got the finance company to send me my check directly, Stockton Auto World gave me my trade in back with no questions asked, but I have NOT received my $1000 I put down on the car. Not to mention, the car I got was a 2009 Ford Taurus that started having transmission problems and they promised to fix ANYTHING in the first 30 days as a courtesy to their customers and they DID NOT follow through with their promises. I would not even give them a ONE STAR, but I have to!!! Went there today and I am strongly considering not going the dealership route for a used car. While they were friendly at first, they beat you down with outrageous payments based on ridiculously high rates on 5 year loans. I've been to a couple dealers on wilson way, and I see they all use the same 4 squared paper, you know, the one they scribble all over with numbers and doodles. Same method of deceit. If you've had a bad experience at any of those 11 other dealers, then you will here too. After the salesman came the guy behind the scenes who was scribbling down stuff on the paper; mr. scary sales manager who is calling the shots. Highly unprofessional is what he was. Sunglasses indoors, bright pink shirt, big faced watch with (fake) diamonds. After constantly telling him I'd rather go home and think about it, he became more persistent to sell a car today. I needed to go home and get ready for work and all he could say was, "give me 2 minutes", 3 different times. After the third time, my fiancé and I both tired and hungry after sitting in this dreary, bland and empty office for what seemed like forever, came the financing manager. He tried seeking common ground to get me to cooperate, but I was done at this point. "What do I have to do for you to buy a car today?" Is what I kept hearing from this shark in a suit constantly, and it came off as desperate for a sale. I told them I would give them a call on monday, but that was just so they'd get off my back. However wasn't the end of it. As I pulled out of the lot, a young faced salesman runs up to my window and asked why I didn't buy the car. I told him the payments were too high and I couldn't get a fair price. "Oh how much do you make a month? I have a degree in accounting! If you come in for just two minutes I can work out an ever better deal". This kid really wanted a sale, but I was done at this point. I drove off with no reply and with a bad experience. Stockton Auto World was the first and last dealership I looked at when I needed a car last weekend. The staff, Bobby and Steve are wonderful. I lost my car due to an accident, and when I informed Bobby that I have a total lost settlement coming to me, he stated that the letter was appropriate as a down payment. I, of course, went to the dealer right away when I was told that the letter was accepted. She shipped him the wrong item and after realizing her mistake refused to ship him the correct one!. Says she's too busy! I called about a car. The salesman told me it was still on the lot. I made an appointment, and he text me with confirmation of my same-day visit but asked that I text him when I was on my way. Did that... I thought, GREAT! They're gonna clean it up, and have it out front running with the AC on when I get there. WRONG!!! When I arrived. The salesman from the phone came, said a few words and disappeared. After a long wait, I went to look at the car on my own. He came back and forth explaining how they'd lost the keys because "someone just test drove it" Finally they find the keys and I attempted to start the car. The ignition held the key in full crank position. The engine kept cranking without holding the key!!! In fact the car wouldn't start AT ALL... I acknowledged how the ignition was sticking. While trying to start the car the sales guy and his manager completely ignored it by saying. "If it doesn't start", I'll go and get some gas for it. After further examination. IT HAD NO GAS AT ALL! NOT A DROP... What a sales opener... "If it doesn't start" I replied. If it doesn't start we're done. Suddenly his over excited sales manager without another word just walked off... The rookie sales guy continued with a lame excuse that I should expect this from a used car!!!! While I was examining the outside of the car, it had cobwebs holding the rear wheel to the ground. I don't see how this place gets anything less than 5 stars. I walked onto the lot and was approached by a sales associate(Brian) he was very relaxed and not pushy at all. Almost like if a friend was there helping me choose a car to buy, not a salesman in rush to make a commission check. Big plus in my book. I got approved for a loan and was signing within an hour. I really do not like to write reviews but its usually for a really good or bad experience. This was a bad one. I visited this place a year ago and the experience was so terrible I feel it is necessary to still write a review. I found a car I liked and I wanted to do a trade in and than pay the remainder in cash. I asked if they would work out a cash deal but they said I needed to fill out some paper work first. After filling out paperwork I let them know again that I was not interested in financing and that I would pay cash for the remainder. They went to see if they could make a deal and they came back with a monthly payment offer with a low interest rate. They went and ran my credit without my approval!! I was pissed and ended up leaving. I returned the next day and made them write a letter to the credit agency stating that they had ran my credit without my approval. I did get a hard hit on my credit because of them. I'm glad I found out than that I could not trust them. read more

We were from out of town. We get back there and they said they wanted to wait for better offer and owner would not let go for that. They wanted $3500. more. Very SHADY business dealings. This place is a JOKE! I would give them negative stars if this was an option. I purchased a vehicle from them in February of 2017. That process was standard...nothing to rave about. However, I had to call them to set up an appointment to have the alignment fixed, brakes changed out and the oil done..... why they sold me the car with these problems is beyond me? They told me to drop the vehicle off for the day, as it would take all day to repair these issues..... 3 days later and my car is still not done! Not only did they not call to inform me of the delay, when I called them to find out what was going on, none of the work has been completed! Beto, the boss gave me the run around an excuses as to why it wasn't completed! the car salesman who sold me the truck i bought told me that the owners of s and s dealership own all the lots on the wilson way block. they bought them with their pre-existing names. with that being said i thought i bought my car from bubba cars/s and s. but i guess i didnt. i bought it from 303 motors. when i was signing the contract for the truck i purchased,no one,including the sales rep, asked me to provide references(which i didnt realize until it was brought to my attention). so come wednesday ( i bought the truck on sunday10/14/18) i have claudia,from 303 motors,calling me to tell me the finance company requires a gps tracker in my truck and i need to provide references, however, i contacted the finance company myself and the rep(aimee) said i do not need the gps tracker in the truck and she isnt sure why claudia said that. also, it was strange that 303 motors didnt have me fill out references on sunday when i purchased the truck. i told the rep from the finance company that i would email her the references when i got home from work. we had agreed on that. shortly after i get another message from claudia stating she spoke with the lady from the finance company and knows that i am emailing her the references that night. claudia still inquires about me providing her the references via phone or "whatever is easier". if claudia knows im going to email the finance comapny the references later that night why are you still calling me. she screwing this up for the finance company and could cause future customers to be scared away from dealing with them in the future.being pushy and constantly blowing my phone up at work will not make me want to provide references sooner. i would not recommend buying a car from any of these lots. when i purchased the truck it immediately started having problems. i had a 30 day warranty and had to go to the shop(stockton auto world) that the dealership uses for warranties. the shop attempted to fix 3 problems. when i was called that my truck was ready, two of the 3 problems were fix. however, the paperwork stated all the problems were fixed which was incorrect. so the mechanic shop employee (teddy) tells me to come back to fix the final problem. i bring the truck back and he fixes the problem. a different problem arises with the truck and we have to call 303 motors for the warranty to have the problem fixed. we take the truck in to get it fixed and we never receive a call from the mechanic that out truck is ready. finally my husband calls 303 motors and is told the truck has been ready and its at the dealership not the mechanic. why wasnt i called and notified? we were told from other employees at this company and mechanics (i promised i would not name names) that stockton auto world goes to pick and pull and puts those parts that may not work on their cars. they don't so when they say they are "ordering a part" their most definitely not! also, the same problem with the truck happened again. thats 2 attempts to fix the same problem. the lack of communication at this dealership is awful. i purchased multiple cars in the past. new and used and never have we experienced this situation. do not purchase a car from here. read more

I wish I could give this place negative reviews. I was told to come to this place because they would be very helpful and could work with my first time purchase of a vehicle. As soon as I get there I'm greeted by Pedro Gomez who made sexually inappropriate comments towards me. Saying things like "your voice sounded sexy on the phone. People get turned on by those voices" and while filling out my paper work went on a rant about how our signs are compatible. Why a 60 year old man selling a 22 year old woman a car would think I would ever find him in any way attractive while I'm trying to purchase a car is beyond me. Needless to say It was a waste of my time because he spent more time hitting on me, trying to add me on social media and asking me personal questions instead of trying to help me get a car. I was so uncomfortable but I had not experienced such unprofessional and inappropriate behavior before and I didn't know how to react. I should've said something then and there but it's an embarrassing conversation to have. Never would I recommend this place to anyone. In fact after seeing all of these negative reviews on how they play people out of their money and give them cars that mess up in a couple of months, there should be an internal investigation on these scum bags to get shut down. Started out well, when we called the night before to ask if the vehicle was still in the lot. The salesman was nice and confirmed; however there was a discrepancy in the model number based on the vin number, which he chalked up to most likely being a typo (this probably should have been a sign). I would like to start with the fact that online, this vehicle looked PRISTINE!!! Complete, clean, exactly what we wanted and everything in the vehicle was intact. We live almost 3 hours away, so we made sure to get there first thing in the morning. When they pulled the vehicle up, it was dirty inside and out. I know cars get dusty sitting in the lot, but this had even been wiped down, washed or detailed, maybe ever. The dash was cracked in multiple places, 1/2 of the 3rd row seat was missing (in the online pics the whole 3rd row was there), arm rests were broken and missing their end cap pieces, the back tailgate automatically opened half way then would shut (he said it likely just needed to be re-programmed) the DVD player screen wouldn't come down (in the online pics the screen was down), AND there were 4,000 more miles on it than they advertised!!!! When we asked where the 3rd row was, the salesman was shocked it was in the picture online and said "most likely it had been stolen, as they don't lock all the cars at night." We discovered there was actually no DVD mechanism in the DVD player- so perhaps that was stolen too? When we started the vehicle, we noticed that the AC wasn't working and when we asked about it (again there was an excuse) the salesman said "oh well you know it takes a bit with how long these cars sit..." After loading two car seats in, my husband said "um, there's no gas..." to which the salesman proceeded to hand him a $20 bill and asked to please bring back the receipt. ?????? Really? Needless to say we got about 1,000 feet from the driveway and when the AC still wasn't cool, turned right back around and parked the car. We never saw the lead salesman again. This was a TERRIBLE experience!! Don't waste your time, they obviously don't keep up with their inventory, online postings and they obviously need better security! read more

Mind you it hasn't even been 24 hours we took it back and asked if we could cancel the sale and get our trade in back they refused. Said we could pick something else it they would fix the one we had, we couldn't find a different one we liked so we had no choice but to let them fix it. It's now been four days still don't have the car we call and get different answers from people this is not ok I am so mad I will never recommend this place nor will I ever buy from here again. They promised us a engine with 60k miles to replace it and then the day before said it actually had 75k on it. No returned phone calls and if you try to call their voicemail is full. Now a week later the check engine light is on. Bought several high end cars in my life so never really had to deal with sleazy car salesman but now I have. This was supposed to be a car for my teenage son and now it's just been a headache of BS. He even tried to have me put my credit card down for the rental while the engine was getting replaced. Seriously avoid this place. Good job Alex! Adding an additional part in August, the car broke down again several times throughout the following months. We had a massive oil leak that was supposed to be covered by the warranty, they lied and said it was a plug leak which it wasn't. The car eventually got taken to chase Chevrolet and as usual Stockton Auto World delayed the process until the day we picked the car up without all the repairs done and said straight to our face sorry today our warranty is up with you. My husband and I bought a car from Stockton Auto World 6 months ago. When we got the car there were some things cosmetically wrong with it and that should have been a sign for us. We purchase a Mercedes and noticed 2 of the emblems were missing, which they ordered and put on. At the time we noticed that the steering was stiff, so we mention it to one of the guys that worked there and he gave us some run around about how that is normal for an all wheel drive. So last week (mind you we have only had the car for 6 months) my husband was driving it and the Malfunction light came on, so we looked it up and it says it has to do with shocks and struts and then all of a sudden, I noticed that the car had a bumpy ride, I could actually feel every bump in the rode. I got out of the car to see if I could see anything and I noticed that the car was sitting low, the frame of the car was almost on the tires. Then as I am driving the car back home, the brake wear light comes on and at this point I'm thinking...uh oh . what did I just purchase...now I'm panicking. So I took the car to the shop where they said that the struts need to be replaced. The replacement will be about $2000, which I am having to get done as I am typing this review. It also need brakes ($600).and the power steering has a leak and might be the pump which may cost about ($1500)...really! Stockton Auto World sold us a lemon. I don't think the Mercedes would be happy with the sale of their vehicle with this many problems. We tried to make contact with Stockton Auto World and they did get back to us. At first I thought that they would be willing to help us but in the end it was just blah, blah, blah, all the sorry's don't fix my car. They told us that we didn't have anything in writing, well why would we, we didn't know that the car was sold to us in bad mechanical shape. Since they know that we haven't had the car for very long, why wouldn't they just be willing to help to make the customer happy. I guess customer satisfaction isn't important to them. They don't want to take responsibility for a car that was obviously sold under false pretense's. Are they trying to say that we wore out the struts, brakes and power steering in 6 months....I think not. They knew and did what little they had to do to sell the vehicle. I do not recommend Stockton Auto World to any serious buyers at all. In fact if you see this dealership (RUN RUN) as fast as you can. On the evening of October 13, 2012, I purchased a 2005 Chevy Trailblazer SL Sport Utility 4D. This vehicle was purchased from Stockton Auto World 3131 Auto Center Circle Stockton CA 95212. As required by California Law, I took this vehicle in for its Smog Inspection on 07/23/14 We learned through the vehicle inspection results, that this car was sold with a Tampered/Replaced After Market Catalytic Converter, Deeming this vehicle unfit to be sold in California from a Dealership to a Consumer, unless it is sold as a non-operational vehicle. I clearly did not purchase the 2005 Chevy Trailblazer on a non-operational basis. I bought it because I needed a car to drive. After learning this vehicle could not clear a California Smog inspection based on this after market catalytic converter in this vehicle at my time of purchase, I immediately Contacted Stockton Auto World for assistance, and an explanation as to why I was sold a vehicle in the state of California that could not legally pass a smog inspection? My call was finally returned from a Manager from Stockton Auto World, who agreed to furnish me a copy of the latest smog inspection on file clearing this dealership the sell of the 2005 Chevy Trailblazer as an Operational Vehicle. As of the date of this letter, I have yet to receive that smog inspection report as promised. I went on to send my concern in writing in hopes that it would make it to someone more "Professional" That has not proven successful at all. It looks like they attempted to call me, and hung up before I could answer (Seems shady to me) any how after several other attempts, I guess they feel that since I've paid for the car with cash, they already have my money so why not attempt to correct their mistake. You would think that if a person came to that type of dealership ready to pay for their vehicle -no real credit hassle, with money ready to go, they would appreciate that kind of customer, in hopes that would come back again for another car. It doesn't seem to be that way with STOCKTON AUTO/S&S AUTO. I do not recommend this place to anyone. Not even my enemies. You deserve better, especially when you uphold your end of the deal. I bought a dodge ram off this place bad decision I bought the truck June 21 had it 4 days and started making a knocking noise so I took it back so they gave me the run a rounds saying they could here anything that there wasn't nothing wrong with it so they had the truck over there at there mechanic shop since June 31 and now we are in august 11 and still they can't figure out what the problem is...the sales men there have horrible customer service I told manager I wanted my money back because it's still under warranty and I had the truck for 4 days and he says it's not like you bought a shirt from Walmart you can't just bring it back..those were his words...he tried getting loud with me and my wife over the phone and in person like to scare you away horible horible place to buy a car or truck from....there cars are garbage I'm stuck with a 19,000 dollar loan and no truck my first payment is coming up and and no truck this place is a joke from the cars to the employees there do not buy from this place I about to contact a lawyer and better business Bureau.. read more

I guess he was fired and then you guys gave me another mans number and he never returned my phone calls. I have had this truck for FIVE WEEKS and the window stopped working. You guys said you would not fix it cause ive had it for more than a month. I find this to be poor business I bought a $23000.00 truck and the windows don't work. I cannot believe you will not stand behind this truck. Its a $70.00 part.
