When it was finally done, we could not believe the lack of understanding and empathy from this bank. It seems UCBI has no security controls to protect their customers. Now, after supposedly setting up security and adding a VPN to my computer, someone is still accessing our account and now our accounts are frozen. We have been customers for over 20 years, but we are so frustrated right now because no one wants to help us. Customer beware!

Customer Service is not on their menu! I do not have an account with this bank, just attempted to…read moreuse their ATM to withdraw money. -The usual screens appeared, ie to accept fee, request receipt, what type of withdrawal wanted. Began entering the amoun, typed in 140 when screen started flipping and wouldn't let me complete the amount and then spit out $20.00. I went inside and told them what happened because I didn't want to pay another fee to get the rest of my money. Told me to go try it again, after I just told them of the machine malfunction, or go to a different bank and use their ATM!! I will never use this bank for anything ever again. But he did smile while telling me to go somewhere else. No worries there!!

This bank took advantage of my elderly grandfather. They enforced a one year penalty for early cd…read morewithdrawal regardless of circumstance. This is 9 months more than other reputable banks. Their rates are also much lower than Wells Fargo. Look elsewhere and protect your money.
