    beef goulash
    T B.

Very nice atmosphere; reminds me of a rustic mountain lodge with picnic tables and log benches. I got the cabbage and vegetable pierogi (boiled). Other dishes ordered included the beef goulash and cheese filled pork with cranberry sauce. All were quite tasty. Goulash was good, but not quite as good as the one I had in Prague. I also had the warm beer which was nicely spiced.

Possibly the best Goulash I've ever had. Traditional beef goulash served on potato cakes. The meat was so soft and it was delicious. Decided I needed dessert so I had their apple cake which was presented beautifully and tasted even better than I'd expected. For amazing food in the middle of a touristy area, the price was very reasonable. Highly recommend to those who want an authentic Polish meal of good quality in the main tourist area. Tip: the restaurant isn't directly on the street, it's down a short corridor so it can be easy to miss.

    Rustic authentic mountain polish food.

I've been here for three months and this is the best: authentic mountain polish food. Incredibly great food. I had pork with garlic, my friends had poultry, meat, fish and I tried all, it was great. The portions, price and atmosphere. Great place. Not easy to find. I highly recommend!

Pierogi and a side salad. Yum!

The only thing I didn't like about this place is that we discovered it on our very last day in Kraków. Might have been for the best though as I would probably have wanted to go there each and every day otherwise... The place is lovely - done in a style that reminds you of a super comfortable skiing/forest hut or something, it's hard to describe! I wondered how they keep all the little nooks and crannies so clean as it is spotless, too. I had my last pierogi of our holiday (Russian style) and they were among the best and definitely the cheapest! Together with a side salad I paid less than € 3. Service was fast and friendly too - should I come back to Kraków this will be my first stop!

Though located in a tourist area and fully decked out in folksy ornaments, Stodoła 47 isn't a tourist trap. Prices here are very reasonable by local standard. Food is quite decent. You won't find better without going outside the Old Town. Portion size tends to a bit small compared to other Polish restaurant. I'd recommend something in additional to a main.

Delicious borscht (get the croquette with it) and goulash. Friendly staff and a nice, open but intimate dining area. We never felt crowded.

Wait staff seemed overwhelmed and service was excruciatingly slow. Food was ok.

There were two rooms and I sat in the long one (the ceiling arc reminded me of a tunnel for some reason) with the duck mural. The menu contained lots of Polish dishes and a dedicated duck section. A duck and pickles appetizer was served gratis. It spread easily on the accompanying slices of bread and was nice. I've not had duck presented like this before and when I piled a couple of the smaller pickle pieces on top the tartness added more complexity for the flavors. I'd order this if it was on their menu. Zurek soup tasted a little tangy and was filled with sausage, mushroom, potatoes plus a whole egg and was delicious. I wasn't sure what to expect but all the different ingredients made for an enjoyable bowl. The bread bowl also contributed by thickening the soup as it abosrbed the broth. The duck breast with smoked plum sauce was thick, cooked medium and very tender. There was a little too much sauce for me but I liked the different taste. The side of glazed carrots and peas had a hint of sweetness and completed the dish along with the potato gnocchi. Service overall was good and efficient. Would return.

I would say Poland definitely is and has a world class soup culture, they take soups very seriously there. The mushroom soup I had was like no other I've ever had anywhere absolutely phenomenal!! Almost every restaurant we visited had 3 to 4 soups on the menu. Kuchnia u Doroty specializes in Soups, Schnitzels, Bigos, Roast Pork, Perogies, Pickled Herring and more. Service is excellent and the ambiance holds a wonderful cozy surprise especially when dining downstairs. By all means hit this place up, you won't be disappointed.

The staff are all very friendly and professional and have in depth knowledge of the menu. This was particularly helpful when trying to understand some of the menu that I was unfamiliar with. We ended up ordering one order of their meat pierogis and one order of their cheese and potato pierogis. They gave a portion of 10 pierogis and they were very filling. We also got their żurek and barszcz soups and all were super flavorful and light. Overall this place is a solid spot and I would come back.

When we visited around noon, there were only two parties ahead of us, so the wait wasn't bad at all. We ordered the daily special, a chicken cordon bleu served with potatoes and a side of vegetables that tasted a bit like coleslaw. We also tried two kinds of fried pierogi: spinach and feta, and pickled cabbage with white mushrooms. It was my first time trying pierogi, and I really enjoyed them. They reminded me of dumplings, but were served with sour cream on the side, which added a nice touch. Ordering was very straightforward. You simply place your order at the counter, and the staff will bring the food to your table. The prices are very reasonable, and the portions are generous.

The decor of this milk bar was by far the most inviting of the ones I've seen or visited on this trip. While outside checkout the cool cow models below the windows which were enclosed with the exterior lighting. Inside was full of greenery and bright. Even the menu stood out with the colorful handwritten blackboard. Staff were very friendly. I grabbed an open seat and shared a table with three others. Staff came over to deliver my utensils and quickly highlight the menu. I walked up to the counter to place my order and pay. I decided to get the daily special and deviated from the Polish cuisine I've been eating the whole time here. The mushroom soup was big and delicious with a strong mushroom flavor. The chicken curry was meaty and tasty sauce with fluffy basmati rice. Well worth visiting and I can see why this place was busy all day. .
