Overall a very nice place to visit. The ambiance is quiet and the waitstaff friendly. We started with cheese curds for an appetizer. They came with ranch and this quite fantastic marinara. The curds were lightly breaded and delicious. For dinner we chose the southwest burger. The order comes with house made chips. The flavor of the burger was amazing. However, I ordered my burger medium rare and ended up with rare. It was still cold and not firm in the middle. When we told the waitress, she spoke to the kitchen who suggested we order medium rare next time. I was not going to send it back either way, but was a bit surprised at that response. Stayed at a nearby hotel for a business trip and wanted a beer and an appetizer after work. I sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful day. Service was excellent- she was very attentive and my drinks came out quick. I tried 2 different beers that they make local which I love doing when traveling. Both were excellent. I've done Sunday brunch here before but today the Bubbles & Squeak special was phenomenal! I also had the bottomless mimosa which was such a great deal. The patio is beautiful and I love how every table has an umbrella. If you sit on the picnic tables outside you can get a bit more sun. The waitress was so friendly and she was efficient, overall great service and food. read more

This was my second visit, same dinner selection - however, the first time visit it was wonderful, perfectly cooked haddock, great service, etc. This visit- disappointing, I am being a bit generous with the 2 rating. The fish was an unappetizing white, breading was wet and not done, fries were great, service was okay. They did not appear to be full/too busy. In time I may give it a tie-breaking 3rd visit. I've been here a couple of times, and my overall impression has pretty much been "meh". It's local to home, but I'm not a huge fan of brew pubs so... Last night my kid wanted the Mac and Beer Cheese, so I looked up the menu on the web (pictured) and called in an order. Arrived a bit early to pick it up, so no issue that it wasn't quite ready. I grabbed a seat to wait and pay the bill. Initially, I was kind of surprised to see the "Environmental fee" since this was not indicated on the website or by the person who took my order. I guess they're covering the cost of the takeout containers - eh, whatever. Then I noticed the price of the Mac and Beer Cheese at $22. My math was expecting $18 for the Mac plus chicken based on the web menu prices. I paid it as was and left a tip - I'm not about to torture the poor kid at the hostess desk. Truthfully, if the Mac and Beer Cheese had been up to par, I probably wouldn't be writing this review, but again - a resounding "meh". I live literally 4 minutes up the road, so there's no really "didn't travel well" excuse for it being tepid or having a broken cheese sauce. Here's the thing - I get that prices can change, but since this is almost a 30% increase in a menu item, I'd expect that such a change would warrant the cost of having the webmaster fix the prices on the web menu. I guess not. I have a general three-strike rule on restaurants. Stone Arch Tied House is a strike out for me. read more

Really disappointed with our first experience today for brunch. We didn't have reservations, and were told to go stand by the wall at the end of the bar, but we were then in the way for all the servers and access to the bar. There's no waiting area. We get seated, and as we're walking to our table a couple is taking the table themselves and the hostesses just look at each other awkwardly for a bit before telling these people they needed to still wait for their table. We ordered drinks (mimosa and a mule) and this was the best part. My husband ordered the breakfast chili and the pickle brine chicken sandwich with hash browns. I ordered the mushroom skillet. The chili came out with a dirty spoon, and we had to sit waiting for our waitress to come back (not sure where she was, it wasn't overly busy at this point) and didn't get another spoon until our food came out. My entire meal was lukewarm, then hash browns on the bottom were actually cold and were soaking in grease. My husbands looked the exact same way, we didn't eat them. The meal had potential, but the cheese wasn't melted on top and it looked like it had just been sitting. We asked the waitress for the bill and my husband tried to give her the card right away because it took so long for her to come back, but she quickly left again. As we were signing the receipt another couple came up to the hostess stand asking if they could pay which they were quickly told no, and they said they haven't seen their server and the hostesses didn't attempt to help them. We love Stone Arch and had high expectations for this place, but after this experience we won't be back as it was essentially a waste of $70. read more

Rubbish. Got take out cheese curds because of the reviews I've seen about how great they are. I don't know who these people are, but they could not be more wrong. I weighed these on an accurate digital food scale at 3.6 ounces. These pitiful (10) nuggets of crap cost $10. Do the math...it would be more than $40 to get a pound of curds. On top of it all, the girl behind the bar gave off a stick up her ass kind of vibe. Live and learn. read more

New restaurant my wife and I were excited to try. It is a great location downtown. We arrived at 5pm Friday and we decided to sit at the bar and have a couple beer samplers before dinner. I had the baked haddock and my wife had the deep fried haddock. Both came with slaw and I like crispy fries so we ordered a side to share. Often baked haddock is over cooked but this was cooked to perfection. Seasoned wonderfully and the tarter sauce was solid. So nice to have a fun go to location in the neighborhood. 5* read more

Service was outstanding - very prompt and friendly. The beer, as always, was delicious as well - but that's where the greatness ended. We ordered the soft pretzel, which was about the size of one you get from Auntie Anne's - and for $9 it wasn't good. Husband got the pork schnitzel, which was huge and he said was pretty good, but a little dry even with the gravy. I got the corn elote chicken sandwich. The chicken was great, very crispy, but no joke I got maybe 2 small tablespoons of the elote dip on my sandwich. MAYBE 20 kernels of corn for a CORN elote dip. It was gluey and Luke warm, with not much flavor. I ended up scrapping the whole bun and some of the chicken breading so I could have SOME flavor of the elote - but it didn't really help. So the food was alright. However, this review reflects the non-existent service. During the hour and 30 min. visit. During dinner, there were only 3 tables of 2-4 patrons filled at any given time. Our waitress admitted she did not know the menu, it's ok everyone is new, but she never came back to fill drinks, or to check on us, she forgot to bring the salad dressing for my salad until she came to drop off the check. If it were busy, I could see this but we watched her check on the other tables once or twice but did not bother to come over by us, except for when we called her over ( not easy, to get her attention) Took forever for us to get our food and a very long time between asking for more water, the dressing that never came and, asking for to-go boxes and getting them and to get our credit cards back. read more

We tried this restaurant last night and it was honestly one of the best dinners our family has enjoyed! Great pizzas, the best house salad with fresh veggies and lettuce. Huge portions! We tried one of the pasta dishes as well and it was delicious! Also great craft beers and even sodas. Outdoor area with baggo sand rock stacking table. Prices were very reasonable. I called at 749 to place a to go order of only a burger and a salad. I was informed they were unable to take anymore to go ordered because they had to many. I have never been here or ordered from here. They close at 9pm. Will never try to eat here again, unfortunately never was able to try your food which I was looking forward to. read more

Was very busy when we went, but regardless service was terrible. Hostess didn't say anything to us when we asked for a table for 2. Took us to table, threw 2 menus onto table, grunted, and walked away. Obviously didn't want to be there. Took 10 minutes before a waitress came. Placed drink order and food order for appetizer and a pizza. Appetizer came quickly. Small appetizer for the cost. Fortunately appetizer was such that we didn't nned silverware because we weren't brought our drinks, plates, silverware, or napkins. Finished appetizer when pizza arrived. Asked for plates, silverware, and napkins and about drinks. 10 minutes later were finally brought plates, napkins, and silverware. Pizza was cold by then and still no drinks. Drinks finally arrived as we were finishing dinner. Bill was wrong as what we ordered was on special and we were charged regular price. Loud, food OK but nothing to get excited about.
