Debbie somehow makes you feel so special, even as busy as she is! The staff woke up so early to let us into the venue and were so kind and helpful. I would recommend this location to anyone. Plenty of parking, gorgeous bridal suite, so many decorating options, outside or inside availability, fishing for the guys, indoor/outdoor bar flow, big dance floor, good sound quality, and a guaranteed good time!

As a father of the bride - this was our best investment. We wanted something that…read morewould be cost effective and exactly what we were looking for, a rustic-like wedding experience nestled in the country. We found Anding Acres. Lisa Anding was absolutely fantastic. I could not have asked for a better experience at her venue. She, so kindly, decorated the venue with her expansive décor closet. The decorations were elegant and even better than I imagined. She asked me what I was looking for and delivered a beautiful setting. Lisa and Randi were present during my wedding and treated me and my family just like theirs! They were professional and provided exceptional service. The open air chapel is absolutely stunning in pictures. It was a perfect feel for our ceremony. The open air barn was a fantastic setting for our guests. The farmhouse tables, the couples table, where food is served, and the cake table are perfectly placed and perfectly decorated. I LOVED the wooden dance floor framed in twinkly lights. My advice is to go with Lisa's recommendations on whoever she recommended. The DJ and caterer she recommended were both wonderful. If you are looking for a venue that delivers everything you need for a stress free wedding day Anding Acres is your place! Anding Acres will make all of your wedding dreams come true!

This place is GORGEOUS. Lisa (owner) is so friendly and helps in any way she can. They have a full room of decor that you can add to your package for a nominal fee and saves tons on having to buy your own expensive decor. Linens, napkins, tables, chairs and dishes are included which is HUGE. For a bride on a smaller budget like myself, this place was a true blessing. The ceremony site is to die for; it's absolutely breathtaking, especially in the evening with the lights up. There are super cool features such as an outdoor dance floor, fire pit with hay bale seating, Texas light up flag on the fence, and a full indoor kitchen. You can bring your own food/caterer in and your own alcohol. Thank you Lisa for making my wedding a dream come true!!!!

This place would be so perfect for a family reunion or a high school reunion or a wedding really fancy pants event. Wow! This newly-renovated & reopened event venue is just amazing! When I first moved to Athens, I…read moreknow I saw the closed-down version of the place at a distance. It always intrigued me. But I was thrilled to know that they reopened it for multi-purpose events. I first came during the soft opening during the Fiddlers' Reunion weekend & saw a live concert happening. I also came for the "Art On The Bricks" event. It's neat that they can move the stage, since for the soft opening the stage was on the right brick wall (with the audience portable fold-out chairs situated so that the left & right were further apart than the front & back), & for "Art On The Bricks" the stage was on the back wall (with the windows & view of the town square parking lot behind it). For the art show, there was more space to look at tables of displayed artwork, munch on finger foods (catered by Railway Cafe, next door), sip on drinks (wine, water, or tea), & you could mingle around or sit down (upstairs in the balcony or at some standing-friendly downstairs tables). The restrooms are also nice, & very well-maintained, with plenty of multiple stalls. The upstairs balcony is really neat. It's a great place to sit & eat at small tables (or move them together for bigger groups), or you can sit at a bar-like table overlooking the balcony if you have a smaller group. Overlooking the balcony was an incredible view! I'm staying posted on future events held here, because I definitely want to keep coming back!

They even accept credit cards (via the Square app, I think?), so it isn't just cash only. They have picnic tables set up in an indoor barn or gin, which is great for those days when the weather is not as nice. But they also have some tables in a really nice lawn area with an outdoor stage, sand volleyball court, tether ball pole, the game where you throw some balls onto rungs of a ladder (I don't know the official name for that game), & corn hole. Currently, the restroom situation is a row of 3 port-o-potties, but they have plans to put in some permanent restrooms. I like the food truck food vendor (or at least the one I have tried so far) with the options for different types of hamburgers. The different varieties of tater tots are also delicious! So far I have only tried the Asian Tots, which is vegetarian-friendly. They also have a grownup grilled cheese sandwich (just let them know that you want it vegetarian ahead of time, so they can know to leave off any bacon). The drink options are plastic bottles (various cokes, teas, & water) iced in a cooler, but they also have eco-friendly (non-plastic, compostable) disposable cutlery, napkins, & to-go containers. They are still open to experimenting with new menu items. As they get more established, & grow with the different phases of the building projects, I definitely want to keep coming back here! I could even imagine a small gift shop corner, where they could sell T-shirts for the venue, different events, &/or different vendors. This might even be a place to consider for a birthday party or a summer concert.

Cassidy - the venue manager was above and beyond - starting with our first meeting and now even after the wedding she's kept in touch. She was always answering my texts - when I thought of a question throughout the wedding planning process. The day of the wedding Cassidy was available all day long at the venue. Not just available - checking in, wanting to help, making sure the bride and groom were taken care of. Cassidy along with her team were able to flip the venue (inside from ceremony to reception) SO quick and efficiently even with our centerpieces. The day was seamless and easy, I never heard of one mishap. Guests seem to love the venue as well - if they weren't dancing with the bride on the dance floor, they were sitting at their tables chatting with friends, outside playing cornhole with the groom, or exploring the grounds the venue. Cassidy worked incredibly well with our photographer, she would find her when we were taking pictures and tagged along to assist - holding the bride's bouquet, fixing positioning, little details. During all of this Cassidy was snapping pictures/videos on her phone for A Thousand Cedars content, which she shared with us. I'm so glad she did this because photography takes a little while to get back, but Cassidy had her pictures ready to send. This was so nice because we were too busy living in the moment and taking it all in. Now we have pictures to look back on. Cassidy is such a sweet, kind, funny person who made us extremely comfortable and excited. I would definitely recommend this venue to anyone. We are such a low maintenance couple who had no idea how to plan a wedding - Cassidy was there to help and made it perfect. A gorgeous venue with amazing staff. Please get married here, you won't regret it. Currently writing this review on our honeymoon - that should show you how passionately we feel about it. (Will add pictures once we get them back)
