There is an abundance of staff in the clinic and the receptionists and assistants in particular are very helpful. The actual surgery is very good, and the drs, especially dr sharma and dr mohindroo are exceptional. The nurses, including Head Nurse lesley are very helpful and competent. The medical team do house calls for those who cannot visit the actual surgery. They run many clinics for different things, such as young mums, pregnant women, elderly people etc There are also a dentist, chiropodist and blood clinic located in the surgery. The clinic is very large and spacious and there are many child areas to keep them occupied.

There is a large waiting room where you wait till you get called, and then you go upstairs into a smaller waiting room with magazines and a tv until the nurse calls you in. unfortunately, it is not very accessible for disabled visitors once you are called upstairs, but you can always ask over the phone before visiting, or on the appointment day, to see if it is possible for you to be assessed in the rooms on the ground floor instead. They are always very prompt, but beware that on drop in clinic days it can get ridiculously busy and so you have to take a number card and hope for the best, but be prepared to wait a few hours to be seen.

I moved here from Probert Road Health Centre…read more Thank god I did. Probert Road was a nightmare compared to here. My GP at Probert Road never seemed to help me, explain anything or answer any of my questions properly. Everything was solved by coming back in 2 weeks. Everything. My GP - and all the stand-in GPs I've had at Lower Green have been great. They answer my questions promptly, diagnose me and explain what's going on clearly. They have then prescribed appropriate medication and advice on exactly how to deal with any condition I've had. Waiting room is relaxed with audio and visual cues. Rooms are well labelled. There's two receptionists serving and there's also a self-check in computer so a lot of people don't even have to go to the desk to check in to an appointment. There's also a pharmacy basically in the waiting room. Bonus! Sufficient parking.

Practically a village hospital compared to the monoliths at New Cross and Russells Hall…read more If you've ever had the misfortune of being treated at New Cross (and if you have and are still reading this, I salute you for still being alive and not dying from some dreadful infection you almost certainly came out with), or drawn the short straw and had to visit Russells Hall, you'll understand what a blessing it is to be able to visit a hospital where there is plenty of parking, friendly staff, reasonable waiting times (in comparison to everywhere else) and a relatively clean feel to the place. This is how I'd describe Telford's Princess Royal. Yes, I'm sure there are lots of you reading this that disagree with me totally, but I want to make just one comment - well done to Princess Royal for at least making an effort and pleasing one of your customers.

The practise has a good range of services, including a health visitor and district nurse. The surgery has good opening hours, from 8.30am and late opening hours to 6pm. The phone lines can get very busy at peak times so unless you desperatly need to speak to someone avoid the 8.30am- 9am time period. There is on street parking by the surgery as the small car park tends to get packed out.
