One of the best concert venues I've ever been to. It was easy getting into the shows even though it was packed. There are great vendors in here for food and merch. Got to see the Gaslight Anthem here twice. Once in the spring of 2013 after Hurricane Sandy hit the Jersey shore and once in 2018 during their '59 Sound 10 year reunion tour. read more

Not a bad venue at all! Went here on August 29, 2026 to see Fetty Wap. What I appreciate is the amount if security we had that day and they are also pretty active at the venue for medical emergencies. Although we had to fall in line that looped around a few blocks, the check in process was fast and efficient. There were also food and drinks on site and went by quite smoothly. Cannot say much about the prices - standard venue prices. I think the most annoying part is when tall people would block the view for the shorter people. Other than that, we had a great time and it is exactly what you would expect in a venue that requires standing up. Parking can be tricky especially if you do not want to pay. Being an avid music fan from New Jersey, one might assume that I had been to the Stone Pony or its Summer Stage by this point, but, you would have assumed incorrectly. Well, until recently at least. My friend, who had been there many times, and I just happened to go to a sold out show, arriving halfway through the set of the second of three bands. When we arrived, the crowd was already at least 50 rows deep from the massive stage, but, despite its size, we could barely see the musicians. In addition, the sound was very spotty. The Summer Stage was actually a parking lot that was fenced in and repurposed for seasonal performances, so it was not really a true venue, but, still, it was completely uncomfortable, which hampered my experience. Scattered around the edges of the lot were food and beverage stations, as well as merch tables, but they were nearly impossible to reach. There were also no screens on the side of the stage to offer a visual alternative. Speaking of displays, there were also no televisions inside the Stone Pony, where my friend and I went to escape the crowds in between bands two and three. The place was much smaller than I had expected with a large stage and bar, but not a ton of viewing room. At least the inside bar was readily accessible, so we grabbed some drinks and headed back to see the final band. However, we did not even make it to the end of the concert, because it was just too crowded and distracting. I would not rush back here to see a show, especially if it was for a sold-out performance. read more

Went here to see Flipturn last July. Super fun concert venue for the summer. The sound is honestly not amazing but it's decent for an outdoor venue. They've got a couple of places to eat right inside, but it's also situated in a great area to get dinner before the show. There was a long line to get in, but it only took around 10 minutes to get in. They usually have a great lineup so would recommend seeing a show here if you're interested. read more

Security staff member at check in / ticket scan entrance were beyond aggressive and belligerent on June 13 / Primus show. Over the top abusive for absolutely no reason. I was told to step aside with no explanation, then when I asked what the problem was, some overly tanned, middle aged boomer with greased back black hair starts screaming at me "shut the fuck up and stand over there" like he was off his meds or something. I mean it's a Primus concert check-in point, not a race riot. Guy was beyond out of line and I find it hard to believe that any security or venue supervisor in ear shot of him would not report him. It's an embarrassment to the venue, the owners of the establishment, and all the great security people there who do a great job without flying off the handle for no reason and screaming at patrons trying to check in. You all know who he is, so remove him before someone takes a bat to his head someday for mouthing off to the wrong person.. I mean wtf? How intense does a ticket scanning process need to be for check in at a Primus show in Asbury Park, NJ. read more

It might sound petty for me to complain that the Pixies played two versions of Wave of Mutilation in their 78-minute set while skipping Monkey Gone to Heaven, Gigantic and U-Mass, considered that I heard the otherwise excellent show well without paying a dime. My small but loyal audience has heard my gripes about the actual Summer Stage, but it's heroic that they condone the "freeloader" viewing. To the left there's a tailgate and lawn area and across the street there's a big section near the beach, which I think this is a bit too far from an audio perspective. It was great to enjoy the sold out Pixies/Modest Mouse and Yellowcard shows in this fashion. Sure, you might only see the tops of heads, but I sure as hell wish Forest Hills had something like this. Imagine the NIMBY riot. Would have been nice to see The Strokes on Saturday. (Didn't spring for the $400 resale ticket). read more

I had SUCH a pleasant experience at this venue! It was my first time in Asbury Park. My brother and I found nearby street parking and paid a few bucks per hour to keep the rental car there all evening. Easy. When it was time to line up to get into the show, we had some confusion with multiple entrances but got lucky and ended up in the line that moved much faster and was much shorter. There were ample bathrooms (obviously much cleaner and more accessible at the beginning of the show) and different food options too. We stumbled upon the underbelly of the venue, where the indoor stage lays, along with merch tables and another bar. And next to that bar (which was hidden and easy to order from throughout the entire show), a burrito window!!!! With delicious customizable burritos!!!! So instead of being stuck with hotdogs and hamburgers, I got a yummy burrito and got to sit and eat it at the bar, at a nearly sold out show in the middle of May. Egress was simple too. Honestly, zero complaints! read more

I'm wishful for warmer weather right now, so that's why I'm reviewing Stone Pony Summer Stage in the middle of chilly January (on a day when the 'real feel' is currently 7 degrees!). Suffice to say, I'm looking forward to concerts here later in 2022! Asbury Park is great for music and has been heralded as a music destination with the Stone Pony being one of its landmark venues. Every year, summer stage series offers both ticket holders and honestly people even in the near vicinity by the boardwalk a fun, summer concert experience. Live Nation sells the tickets to their events, so you can enter using mobile tickets/passes on your phone. Security is good at the gates, but I always try to be careful at concerts with larger crowds. Not specific to Stone Pony Summer Stage, but the combination of the summer heat, drinks, and adrenaline/excitement in the crowd can sometimes lead to unsolicited confrontation or physical injury. Just saying. A little PSA. The last time I went to Stony Pony Summer Stage was for a pre-COVID concert with Deftones and the (international) noise conspiracy. I had such a good time that I purchased tickets for the 2021 show with Deftones and Gojira (heart emoji), but this show was postponed due to COVID (frown emoji). I'll probably do a review update in a few months to see how they handle COVID measures for that show, and what it's like once you get through the gates. Hopefully this show will happen without another pandemic monkey wrench messing up plans (crossed fingers emoji). read more

I've never met a more rude security team. The Stone Pony might have a big name, but the way they treat guests is awful. I was kicked out for something I didn't even do. When I tried to ask what was going on, security dragged me out and told me to "be quiet." It's not the first time someone's been physically dragged out. i've seen them drag a 13 year old out. Mind you, i was right behind the group and the 13 year old did nothing. Even after they told security the girl was 13, he still proceeded to drag her out by herself. I asked to speak with the head of security, and they just said they "trust their staff" and that I must have done something wrong. The manager wouldn't even speak to us. The security here is rude, aggressive, and completely entitled. They ruin the vibe and treat fans like garbage. Don't come here. There are way better venues that actually respect their guests. read more

I bought tickets for Max Weinberg's show, on September 6th, I was able to get tickets on my first try the day they went on sale. Then They decided to move it to the summer stage, which was fine. Well the morning of the show I checked the website, nothing changed, went about the day and then drove down to the pony, only to find out they refunded the tickets and had a re-sale of tickets at 2:pm. No text, no email, just if you were lucky enough to catch the post, you were lucky enough to get tickets. Complete BS. They should have honored the original ticket holders. Not the ones that bought when they moved the show. The only show that the box office had was for midnight. I live 2 hours away, that wasn't goi g to work for me. It will be a long time before I buy tickets for a show at the stone pony. I am in Asbury all the time, spent the summer here, very disappointed. read more

I recently went to the Stone Pony Summer Stage with a small group of friends, and I think experiencing it once was enough. We saw, or tried to see at least, Simple Plan & Sum 41. The drinks were reasonably priced, and the service was good. For the life of me, I cannot figure out why if you have an opportunity to build a large stage, you don't build it higher so that all the crowd can view the performance. I'm not even small in stature and I could barely see any of the show. I basically paid money to jump around to live music for small glimpses. We couldn't wait to giddy up on out of there, so we managed to exit before the massive crowd flooded the exits. Note, if you're not familiar with Asbury Park, get parking closer to the biergarten and walk the 5-10 minutes from the venue. read more

NO MOBILITY IN THE ADA SECTION! STONE PONY SUMMER STAGE TREATS DISABLED PEOPLE LIKE SECOND-CLASS HUMAN BEINGS! The ADA Section at the Stone Pony Summer Stage is Ableist Mobility has been described as "the ability to move freely and easily, encompassing both physical movement and the capacity to change one's position or location." The ADA section was a riser/platform next to the stage. Two thirds of the view was obstructed. The left side of the stage had an un-obstructed view. My son (who uses a wheelchair) & my brother got there early & were among the first people on the riser. It was crammed full of chairs with very little room for wheelchairs & other mobility devices (which need space to maneuver). We went to the left side of the stage. The staff person said that we could not go all the way to the left because they had to leave that space open for photographers. There was a 4 or 5 foot space left open at the left side of the stage. My son sat as far left as staff would allow. Again, we were told that the 4 or 5 feet of space on the left of the stage had to be left open for photographers. There were two empty chairs next to my son where staff told my brother & I to sit. We did not have an obscured view in those seats. Within minutes a young woman in a wheelchair approached & was told to sit next to our chairs, where she had an obstructed view. I suggested that my brother & I move so that she could move over next to my son where she would be able to see the stage. Staff said "No." I persisted & after what seemed like minutes of trying to reason with staff, they relented & we moved our chairs & the young woman moved over where she could see the stage, see the concert that she paid the same amount of money to see as everyone else. NOWHERE ON OUR TICKETS DID IT SAY OBSTRUCTED VIEW. We also again offered to move to the left where there was open space & an unobstructed view, but again were told "no, sometimes the ADA section has an obstructed view!" & that the left side of the stage with an unobstructed view had to be left open for photographers (who never showed up, btw). However, staff did not leave a 4 to 5 foot pathway along the front of the riser, leading to the ramp, blocking access on & off the riser. At one point my son had to use the bathroom. Staff acted annoyed because everyone in the front row, including two people in wheelchairs, had to move back out of our way. Problem was, there was no space for them to move because the riser was literally crammed-full of (mostly empty) chairs (for photographers no doubt). We had to squeeze through, between the railing & the folks in the front row. The 500 pound wheelchair couldn't fit through that space & scraped along the railing, which was not strong enough & could have easily been broken by the wheelchair. If my son had fallen off the riser in his chair he could have died. The ADA section at Stone Pony Summer Stage is DANGEROUS. Clearly they care more about the access of photographers than that of people with disabilities, who I might add, are paying customers, who did not know that they were paying for an obstructed view. (If you have ever been to a show in Asbury Park, you have never seen so many photographers in your life. It is the most documented scene in history.) The ADA Section belongs in front of the stage, not on the side with an obstructed view next to the portojohns (toilets). Not in the very front of the stage of course, because of the mosh pit & the area behind the mosh pit, where most of the audience stands to watch the show. Put it behind that space. It would be elevated, so that folks using wheelchairs & other mobility devices would be able to see the stage. The people staffing the ADA section need ADA training. The particular staff who we dealt with needs sensitivity training as well. Actually, she should not be working in the ADA section period. She touched the control mechanism of my son's wheelchair & tried to move him. I said "Don't touch that." & she immediately put their hands on the controls of another person's wheelchair and moved them. This is unacceptable! ADA 101. My brother, who was observing all this and also had words with this particular staff-member said this: "I think the issue here was the objectification element. This person arranged individuals with disabilities like they were furniture. There is a type of altruistic narcissism where people are actually doing overt and subtle harm while believing that they are doing a moral good. It was dehumanizing. When I spoke with her, she had this self-as-hero perception that disaster could strike at any minute. I don't know if she realizes that in order for her paradigm to work, she turned fellow human beings into a problem to be solved. I have seen this objectification my whole life. People impose their will on societally disempowered individuals in some dysfunctional distortion of compassion, which reinforces second-class citizenship." continued in part 2 read more

Went to see a great show last night at the Stone Pony Summer Stage. Two cover bands Super Trans Am and Almost Queen. Great show! Sat in the handicapped section due to medical issue. We could not help noticing the two security officers (Toni and Barbara) amazing help and compassion for the people in wheelchairs and with walkers. They are both very special ladies and should be commended for their above and beyond job performance. read more

This is an awesome venue to see a live concert at. From May though September, you have the luxury of watching live music outdoors; pretty much right next to the beach and ocean, catching a nice breeze. One of the pros of this venue is that there is plenty of parking located around this venue, from big lots, to plenty of pay station spaces. Also, the beer and drinks prices are fairly cheep, when compared to similar music venues. Each ticket is general admission , so you just stand wherever to watch the show. Plus there are plenty of bathrooms options located on all sides. The speakers and sound are great quailty, and you wont have problems hearing the music, no matter where you are standing. And it's a large outdoor venue, but not overly large, so you have space to move around. So many great artists perform here every summer season, and I like to catch as many as I can. You can literally be on the beach all day, then walk right over to this venue at night time. Overall, this is a perfect venue for New Jersey. read more

Last night, Southside Johnny show. Raining about 745 to 820 before he came on. We had a nice big umbrella that security would not allow us to bring in explaining "after 5 drinks that's a weapon" so we had to check it for $2. The fool in charge of lighting must have been asleep or at another show. Every time Johnny, his guitarist, organist, etc. moved away from where they were "supposed to be" they were literally IN THE DARK (see photo below). As always, anyone less than 5'10" has a lousy view because: 1. Stage is not high enough 2. The blacktop we stand on does not slope downhill to the stage. But, why sould management spend money to make this a good music venue? People come anyway. read more

For some inexplicable reason in 2024, there are no screens to see the show at a flat ground general admission show. If you are not lucky enough to be 6'5, you will not have a view of the stage or performers for most of the show. ahhh, summer in Jersey. outdoor concerts. sun. MODEST MOUSE. um... I'm biased. but ANYWAY... layout: Large open area. Bars around the sides (with Jello... not sure if alcoholic). That usual table in the middle where they control the stage lighting, but that's it. venue: Listed show as 6-10. Doors were 6, show was 7. Dear venue, please fix that. Show did go past 10 though :) Security: Meh. They seemed very unhappy with people being lifted - not even carried forward, just going above the crowd at ALL (to take photos for example). Two different people yelled at me because I jogged forward when I got in to secure my front row spot instead of walked and risked losing it (I was the last one actually, so yeah.) Dudes. I'm jogging. I actually called to the second guy that I'm not running into anyone. It's wide open out here. Dudes. At least no one told me to stop jumping during the show, because in my tiny little front row spot I was All About Jumping And Dancing and they weren't gonna stop me. sound quality: Hard to judge from front row but seemed just fine. Not quite up to the par of what I heard at Terminal 5 Monday, but I rarely experience established outdoor venues so I can't really judge. Southside Johnny's annual summer kickoff is always magnificent. Cool, perfect weather framed this year's show. The venue is excellent. Also, don't forget Remember Jones, the A+ opening act, also from Asbury Park. We ate a couple dozen of the mini donuts instead of, say, a sausage sandwich ... to save room for boardwalk food before and after the concert. The donuts go with beer surprisingly well. read more

yuk, total sh*tshow, a summer show! haha, i made a funny. whats not funny is this place claiming to be the place to be to see a concert in the summer. where to start? ok, first, no seats, great, at least standing on the hot asphalt in the summer is nice, sike, it sucks! acoustics were not the best either. i guess you could hear the same in the bars across the street. maybe i should have just sat there and had the same experience without paying ticketbastard. concessions were also expensive, nothing new here. after going to 4 different venues for summer concerts this year, this was by FAR the worst, which of course stinks as i traveled the farthest for it. plus, and what hurts the most, is that the venue is only next to the stone pony, i never saw the inside, which would have been historic at least. im not interested in going back, here or jersey. read more

I'm going to review this based off of 2 factors: 1. The concert itself - 5 stars 2. The experience with security before and during the concert - negative stars Rebelution absolutely rocked and the venue itself was amazing. The sun set behind the stage which added to the whole experience. The sound system was perfect for the size of the venue and beers were fairly priced while easy to get to. The security, however, was F$&@ing awful. There was a group of us from Ohio and they acted as if they had never checked an out of state ID before. After checking our IDs, they decided that one looked fake and needed to scan it. 3 of us are white and 1 black -- guess whose ID they took? You guessed right. They walked away with his ID without saying a word and we waited for 10 minutes before we approached a woman who looked to be in charge of this chaos. She radioed the man to come back and when he returned, he did didn't have the ID on him and said another guy had it. By the time they found the security guard who had his ID, he said he "ran it twice and it worked but when he flipped the ID and ran it that way, it didn't work." Obviously if you look at an ID, it only has a magnetic strip on one side....so it wouldn't work if you ran it on the non-magnetic strip side. We basically told them that we'd like to speak to the police onsite to get this sorted out as we are all in our late 20s. It was then they finally gave up and gave us our 21+ bracelets. When we finally entered the concert, we got beers that were only $5. Our horrible experience started to be a distant memory when more security guards came up to us and said that our 21+ bracelets we got from the (dumbass) outside weren't the correct ones and we needed to show our IDs again. They proceeded to be confused when they saw an Ohio ID and had to verify we didn't have fake IDs all over again. My advice to the stone pony: Hire a new security management company that doesn't have an IQ of a 4 year old and isn't racist. You have an amazing venue that shouldn't be diminished by an incompetent security team. read more

Perhaps standing room only just isn't my scene anymore. But virtually impossible to get through the crowds to get a drink or get to the restrooms (which are nasty porta-potties that seemed to have perpetually long lines). Hard to see the performer and there are no screens. Drinks were pretty reasonably priced for a venue. Parking in Asbury is your basic nightmare. The smartest people there were sitting outside the venue in their chairs listening to the music without paying for a ticket. Definitely what I'll be doing next time. read more

This is probably one of the shittiest staffs I've ever encountered in my life. Security guards on power trips and most of them are bored so they just look for reasons to mess with you. I was treated like a 13 year old trying to sneak drugs in while I was showing my tickets at the door. They were aggressive and unapologetic. Completely unprofessional. I will NEVER go back- solely because of the staff. I paid a lot of money to be there, all they did was make me wish I spent it else where. Excellent place to see a summer concert! Parking can be tricky, especially on a weekend. I was here on a Sunday night, and drove around for a good 30 minutes trying to find a spot. If you can take public transportation or an Uber-type service, I'd highly recommend it. Other than that, entry was easy, staff was fairly courteous, and the venue is pretty small. It's basically a parking lot with a stage and concessions around the perimeter. There are ample bars and snack stands around the edges, and lines move quickly. The sound was great for the Rebelution Good Vibes Summer Tour, so I would imagine that it's usually pretty good. A little hint... If it's an all-ages show, and you don't like to be totally crowded in, stay on the "under 21" side. It's not as bad as the "Over 21" side. The only downside to this is you can't drink. But it's an option, and will get you closer to the stage. Overall, I had a great time, and would definitely go back for another show. read more

I love so many things about this venue. Truly. It's across the street from the boardwalk. Like, directly across the street. I love hanging out in the Silverball Museum and grabbing something to eat before walking over to the Stone Pony. Being so close to the beach gives the venue a nice breeze on hot days/nights. Which you'll need. Because there's no shade. The ground is entirely asphalt, which gives it a parking lot festival feel that I really love. The acoustics are always great, which is a major plus considering it's an outdoor venue. Food and drinks aren't any more expensive than your average venue ($8 beer, $6 cheese fries, etc). Some stands are cash-only, which is slightly annoying because I hate carrying cash at concerts. On a more disappointing note, they definitely have some of the rudest staff I've ever encountered. When I consider what I dislike about this venue, the staff may just take the top spot. I'm not just jumping on the bandwagon with the rest of these reviewers, they really are unnecessarily rude and aggressive. And I'm not talking about emptying my pockets or getting a pat down, because I really do appreciate thorough security. I'm talking about the way in which they treat people. I witnessed a kid in line ask a staff member if doors were still going to be at 1:00 PM and the staff member replied "I don't know, why don't you check the website", sarcastically. In response to his answer, a guy in line behind me said "welcome to Jersey". For real, though, these guys give Jersey a bad name. read more

the security here has absolutely no idea what they are doing. I went to the i prevail ptv show last night and got there just in time for VIP to be let in, my pass said 5:30 I got there 5:25 despite traffic. they tell me they stopped letting VIP in and I show them my passes so they let me on the early entry line anyway after the supposedly capped it. come to find they're just letting anyone on the line not even checking everyone's passes. my pass also said 5:30 yet they already let so many people in and by the time I got on the line they were letting everyone else in too so I basically wasted my money. you're supposed to make people wait until the time it says on their passes.. DUH. they should have had a separate line and just started letting people in once I got there since on paper I was early.. and you're supposed to check off a list of names and confirm the VIP .. I've been to many many concerts and that's what they do .. I understand if I was late but I wasn't.. it was a complete mess when I was trying to explain everything every single security guard except 1 out of 10-15 of them knew what we were talking about. check passes and keep your lines organized better ! read more

I am 63 years old, not a member of the demographic you would expect for this type of venue. I love music. I've never been to the Stone Pony. It was on my bucket list so I purchased four tickets, grabbed my husband and some friends and went on August 21, 2015. First of all, you can't beat the price. The tickets are $39.00 each or four for $100.00 No matter what, they are good value for the money. The only downside is that they are "Rain or Shine" tickets. The show goes on no matter what. The doors open at 5:00. The show didn't start until around 6:30 so you really don't need to get there when they open. The security staff were amazing. They are nice people who are good at their jobs. I've been to other places where the security people are thugs. That isn't the case here. The vendor's prices were reasonable. The tours shirts were around $25 and there were Stone Pony t-shirts from $20 to $30. I bought three Margaritas at $6.00 each. One was poured with a heavy hand. There is no seating. You stand, but I wasn't uncomfortable. My husband has an artificial knee. He sat in the handicapped area and had no problem enjoying the show. As I said, I'm not their usual demographic. The ages of the audience ranged from 16 to people in their 60's. You are ID'd as you come in and given a bracelet in order to have access to the 21+ section. Alcohol is not permitted anywhere, but the 21+ section. As a parent, I would have no problem dropping a 17 yr. old and their friends off. There were tons of kids, all having a great time and all incredibly well behaved. They seemed to get a kick out of an old lady like me being up front. One boy grabbed my hand and we danced, while a girl took a selfie with me. There is no reentry so once the kids are in, there is no reason for them to leave.*Caveat: This is true for this particular concert. Concert audiences vary from concert to concert and not all will be this teen friendly. When in doubt, go with your kid! The bands were great! I had never heard of Eve 6. They are an alternative rock band. My friend is a fan so she enjoyed herself. Uncle Kracker had the second set. His set alone was worth the price of the ticket. He sang all his hits, encouraged crowd participation and seemd to have as much fun as we were. Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray, mc'd the show. Sugar Ray was up third and did a great set. The final band was Better than Ezra. I had never heard their music before and they rocked it! They surprised us by doing a cover of "Born to Run" to honor the 40th anniversary of the album. I loved their stuff and will definitely be checking them out on iTunes. The show ended at 10:00. We had no problems leaving the venue and getting out of the area. Tip: Get there around 5:00 and you'll be able to park on the street at a cost of $1.00 per hour. Otherwise, you'll have to pay the parking lot fee of $20. I had a great time. read more

The outdoor venue "Summer Stage" is standing only. There are a couple of small sections where there are chairs for handicapped people and you have to show a handicap ID to be allowed to sit there. You can't bring your own chair, so it's stand on hot black asphalt for 4 or 5 hours. I did find (after standing on line for an hour and a half) that you don't have to stand on line. The gate opened at 5:30 and the show didn't start until almost 7. The venue holds tons of people so even if you got there at 6 oclock, you would be able to stand somewhere close enough to see easily. Also smoking is allowed. The sound is excellent, there are plenty of bars, toilets and food stands. But extremely uncomfortable if you have any issues standing for long periods in hot, direct sunlight. read more

Terrible experience! Will not go back! Staff is extremely rude and does not have any manners towards any of the guests. Had my ticket and bracelet for a limited ticketed show. Waiting on line all day for them. Finally got to go In and the "bouncer" took my ticket and snatched my wristband off my wrist claiming it was fake when I had my ID and ticket right In front of his face. Very upset. Little shitty whole in the wall place and they Think it's like sort of upscale NYC nightclub. Don't waste your time with these lowlife scum employees and management. read more

This place is awesome for seeing shows! I've seen many shows here over the years, but the outdoor concerts are great. There are plenty of bars lining the outskirts of the enclosure, so the lines are never long. There are also plenty of Port-O-Potty's so that's not an issue either. Plus, the Pony stays open throughout the show, so you can escape the crowd for a bit if you want. They've really done a great job bringing in great acts each summer. Plus its also great to sit on the boards and catch a show if its not something particular that you want to see, but you might want to catch a bit of. Bottom line, its another great Jersey Shore summer activity. read more

Good thing there was great music because the security and staff are absolutely horrible. They took my out of state ID for close to 20 minuets claiming it was fake and would not give me my wrist band or ID back. Finally they did, and the next day I found a fake Facebook profile created of me. Now Im hearing that security sells IDs out of this place?? I would never return here, even for the best music. read more

Loved this venue! Went to see Gary Clark Jr. a couple of weeks ago and he was amazing! The venue is located rough across the street from the boardwalk and beach, so you can always chill there beforehand and grab some food or even some sun. The line gets incredibly long, but it goes fast for the most part. The bouncers were all cool, but be prepared to get searched and any snack items will get tossed. Anyway, when you get in, there's a big open area and a stage. There are also concession stands set up that sell beer and water. If you walk all the way past the stage there is a patio area with tables and chairs and an outdoor bar. Past the patio area is an indoor area that has bathrooms, an old school cigarette machine and two bars. There's also seating available in here. They also have another smaller stage inside where you can watch some band prior to the headliner outside. There's also a huge collection of guitars on the walls, signed by band members and a bunch of pictures of artists who performed there, such as Bruce Springsteena and Cyndi Lauper. I really enjoyed this venue, the acoustics were great, minimal echo and Gary's voice did not get lost or distorted, I only wish it was a drop louder read more

Being a big Bruce fan, I have always wanted to visit The Stone Pony. My boss (not to be confused w/ The Boss) offered to take me to a Cake & Ben Folds (of Ben Folds Five fame) concert since he lives close by. The bar itself looks just like I pictured it. If you visit the bar and small shows, you should be fine. As for this concert, it sucked!!! The tix were $63 each. A local band opened first followed by Ben Folds. He was fairly decent and heck of a piano player, however, I was quickly reminded that that he/they only had one depressing hit (Brick) about abortion. He even had the opening band come back out after a couple of songs and play with him to liven things up. Also, since this venue is open air and located within a resort area, concerts are supposed to end at 10pm due the loudness of music. Cake did not take the stage till 9:20pm and the lead singer talked & talked and rambled on between every song. Their playlist shows 12 songs but one of the 12 wasn't even a song, it was about their plant a tree where they play program. Great cause but keep it short & sweet or take the stage earlier! As the rambling between songs continued, more people yelled at him to shut up & play but he only rambled on more as he responded to us - yeah, the fans who paid $63 for a concert. Even the SP security people were growing tired of this moron. SP management should have made sure they took the stage on time and actually played music. The concert somehow continued past the 10pm quiet curfew when they hurriedly played all 3 of their top hits. I gave two stars because it is a nice setup and all of the bartenders were great but when you go to a concert, you should get a concert. read more

Had a blast here this past weekend. It's a great location right by the boardwalk, wandering around there before we went to the show. It started at 4:30 which was strangely early, but the headliner went on around 8pm. Decent place, standing room only, lots of beverages to buy. Parking wasn't difficult at all. The only thing that got somewhat annoying was the sun in the background. Depending where we were standing, it was sometimes right in our eyes I would absolutely go again!! read more
